A gem tucked away behind Sports Direct at the back of the Mall. Quiet and peaceful. Perfect for socially anxious or those who want a calm environment. Great coffee and a wide selection of sandwiches and cakes. Staff were very helpful. Poetry on the walls is interesting to read.

We have always liked coming to the mission cafe. Comfortable seats, nice music in the background and not noisy.

It was lovely returning here again after a lengthy absence and was not disappointed. Greeted politely and warmly by the service staff. Visited with my partner and enjoyed a jacket potato with tuna and a fresh side salad, plus a chicken, bacon and cheese panini with a fresh side salad. Drinks were bottled water and a pot of tea. All food was served promptly, hot and very tasty. Atmosphere is peaceful. Always a pleasure coming here and deserves a visit if you’ve never been before, particularly as its also a charity run venture by volunteers!

Mission Cafe has alot to offer a variety of customers. Good place early morning to have some quiet pre-work time to relax over a coffee/breakfast in comfort. This is probably THE most disability friendly cafe in Bromley, with plenty of space for wheelchair users and parents who park their buggies considerately. The food is fresh and appetising. The service is friendly and efficient, some of the employees are volunteers. This is in a good location accessible for all the shops and those using disability parking - as Mission Café is the corner. The Manager is extremely 'hands on' and welcoming and is one of the reasons I keep going back.

Been returning here every time I visit Bromley and am never disappointed. Staff are always so welcoming and polite. Food is great and if there is something like a sandwich that sells out, staff will be happy to make you another fresh one exactly as you like it - a nice touch. Good menu choices all priced very reasonably. Please give this charity establishment a visit as it deserves all the success it strives for and which it will achieve given the great reviews it receives.

Have visited here on quite a few occasions now since being reopened (and before) and absolutely love this place for its polite and helpful staff who are so nice, its a clean, tidy cafe with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, prompt service. Food is always served hot and tasty with a varied menu which is extremely well priced. If there is for example a sandwich not on show that you would like, then their will be made freshly for you there and then. Homemade cakes are absolutely lovely. There are offers are on during day such as half price regular hot drink when you buy a cake. This is a dementia charity based cafe and so means a lot to me also as my Mother recently passed away from this awful disease. The Manager Agnes is a gem and has so much time for customers, not to mention worked so hard to ensure this cafe was reopened so please give your support to this great venue as you will not be disappointed. The cafe closes at 3pm weekdays and at 4pm on a Saturday. Sunday’s they are closed. Well done ‘The Mission’ - keep up all the good work and you will receive the success you deserve!

Mission Café has been my regular Breakfast location for a couple of years now, as well as the occasional lunch and business meeting. Where shall I start in praise of this Café as there are so many positives? In terms of location in Bromley it possibly is tucked away from the main cluster of shops, but it’s on a convenient corner to the NCP parking and the offices in Elmfield Road. The seating is spacious and comfortable – very disability/child buggy friendly with clean accessible toilets (always a plus for me). Most of the food is freshly made and the sandwiches are made with good quality bread. The thing that makes me go back is the welcoming and friendly/helpful staff, particularly the current Manager who is very ‘hands on’ and on the ball, knowing her customers and trying to adapt to changing needs for customers. I recommend this Café for a quiet Breakfast Meeting, Lunch or Afternoon Tea. Particularly recommend: The chocolate/caramel shortbread and quiches. Please read the wonderfully inspiring poems on the walls written by people living with Dementia. (Mascara warning!!)

You can get a decent cup of tea and sit quietly in this cafe. Something which is impossible anywhere else in Bromley. Looks rather forlorn from the outside, but it’s no frills and provides what you’d expect. Only one criticism, tables should be cleared a bit more quickly, so that people can sit where they like, rather than where is empty.

Went there with family and my 82 year old father. He accidently spilt his full cup of hot chocolate over table, chair and floor. The counter assistant didnt seem to know what to do when I asked her for a cloth and when she did come to the table she didnt ask if we were ok despite almost boiling hot chocolate going over us. Certainly there was no offer of a replacement drink which was mean and sad. We ended up feeling as though we had to apologise. So disappointed, and as I work in social care I can honestly say there is no dementia friendly approach from what I can see from staff. Suggest you don't trade off of that in future on your table notices.

We found this new cafe by accident and were pleasantly surprised; the service was fast, friendly and polite, the whole mood was calm, the cafe is very spacious and the food was freshly prepared - the bonus was that our sandwiches were taken, plated up and brought to our table with a small side salad. The topping on the cake is that the cafe supports a dementia charity. All in, well worth a stop if you need a peaceful rest.

The coffee and cakes here are sensational. I'm serious about coffee; it is an obsession. I source my own green coffee beans, roast them and work hard to be a good barista. Hence I am always dissatisfied with coffee 'out'. I fell upon this place while waiting to pick-up my wife from the hospital yesterday. It is the best prepared coffee I've had out in recent years. The one that came close cost £8.50 from a Michelin star restaurant. The only down side is that I need a better excuse to go back! The service was great too. Keep-up the great work.

Visited for brunch on Sunday and the Turkish breakfast feast was absolutely delicious and plentiful for 4 adults and a 3 year old. Highly recommended. While we were there, there was a small film production shoot going on which was wonderful to observe and my daughter was invited to be a part of since it is her area of study. A unique and pleasant place to to visit and have some lovely food. We will definitely be visiting again for a delicious breakfast/lunch.

I love this place and have been coming since it opened but the last few times I’ve been, I’ve had to wait around 15 mins for a takeaway coffee. Staff are getting stressed and flustered, mixing up orders and on two occasions they simply stopped taking orders because they’d got so behind (but didn’t explain this to the waiting customers). I’m sure they are trying their best but it’s awful to see customers walking out. Such a shame as I really want to continue to enjoy coming here, and the coffee is great! I like supporting local businesses and want to see them thrive. Not sure what the problem is - maybe the kitchen is too small to cope with all the food orders or perhaps the staff need dedicated roles eg. One person making all the coffee. Maybe the menu is too diverse for that little kitchen? It would help too if a staff member perhaps explained that there would be a long wait due to it being particularly busy, and then we could decide whether to leave the queue. I’m putting this review on here in the hope that the owners will see it and make some changes. I really hope it improves.
