Extortionate pricing. Ordered a medium and a large cod which came to a little under £20. When we got home there were two small pieces of cod in the box which looked to amount to the size of one of the fish. When we went back to the shop to query if we had the wrong order, we were told that is the correct item.
Ali Demir was very open to my requests for my daughter's birthday party and helped me organize all the individulal food party boxes and fulfilled all kids requests.
Food was great and they were all happy 😊
Come here a lot and always enjoy the food, today was a little bit disappointing, the fried slice was only crisp around the edges, the middle of the slice was just soggy, also the toast had probably been toasted for 10 seconds and then butter spread on it, it was just a wet soggy mess, the staff are always helpful and friendly and the cafe is clean
It’s the end of an era. The Queens Rooms Steakhouse and Grill is closing today, forever!! The most amazing steaks and Sunday roasts in the area will no longer be just around the corner…. A HUGE thank you to everyone at The Queens Rooms for 15 years + of the warmest welcomes and tastiest food.
Never disappointed with the food here. Always fresh and cooked perfectly, love the fresh side salads and onions that come with the Tikka / Sheek kebab starters. Great range of mains and veg side dishes, particularly like the saag aloo and Brinjal Bhaji.
Was worried when they moved premises a few years ago, but the food is still excellent. Always collect but did get delivery a few years back during covid times, the food always arrived piping hot.
Had a takeaway from these guys. Superb quality food. You can tell it’s homemade and super fresh. Just the right sized portions and incredibly authentic and tasty. Will be going back!!
Cod is a good size and you can choose to have the skin on or off, large chips is very large,so only order if you can eat a lot, prices are OK,and the service is quick.
Booked a group birthday afternoon tea, I wouldn’t recommend it. We had jam and cream scones, cup cakes, strawberries and cream, samosa, quiche, macarons and finger sandwiches.
Sandwich filling not the best
Quiche and macarons 50p size
CHEESE scones with jam and cream on aah
Strawberries cut up with spray can cream
Would have been a lot better if the cakes and scones had been homemade and other items not come from Tesco finger food
What a hidden gem this is. Staff are lovely and the food is incredible. As a Londoner who grew up with Caribbean food, this is as close to perfect as you can get. The curry goat was so tender and flavoursome, didn’t blow your head off so for those who don’t like hot curry, this is perfect. Fluffy rice, dumplings, plantain all great, and the festivals are delicious. Had the bonus of 2 for 1 cocktails, expecting the pre made monsters but these were hand mixed with fresh ingredients, totally delicious and a bargain2 for a tenner. Lovely atmosphere and our waitress was so friendly and helpful. The locals need to get in there and try this place out, you have a diamond of a place on your doorstep. I will definitely be back
