I would certainly give Brown's 5*. Perfect food, service, atmosphere. We ordered a mackerel and horseradish sandwich each. I was not sure if it would be too hot for me but said I would have it anyway. A minute later the waitress came over with a small sample of the filling for me to try. It was very nice, not too hot at all. That's attention to detail for you. It is now doggy friendly too which was a bonus as last time we visited we had to sit outside.

Excellent food friendly staff can’t rate it highly enough. The menu has a varied and wide selection to meet everybody’s needs. Lovely garden. The staff are friendly helpful and we didn’t have to wait a long time for our drinks and food. It is very personable great place to go with friends and family as it caters for everybody’s needs. You are also allowed pets and they provide water for them.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch with excellent roast beef and Yorkshire pudding (with just the right amount of gravy) finished off with some excellent wine. Dessert was also excellent. We ate in the bar which is really cosy. Staff were great and friendly and service was really good. The cost was also very good value for money considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, an excellent meal and I look forward to returning.

Another delicious meal at the Bistro, as always beautifully cooked and presented. Brie and cranberry was excellent, as was the tomato soup. Sadly, couldn't manage to eat a dessert as we were so full!! The staff were lovely and attentive, but we missed Gjovan's smiling face. Look forward to next time!

I came to Hoddesdon with my dad & decided to have lunch while here. We saw the lunch offer and decided to try. The lunch offer had a big selection of meats, fish & vegetarian. The food was quick & tasty. The staff are very attentive & helpful. The restaurant is clean & modern. I will happily be coming back.

Today was my first visit to Lussmans. I was dining with my 88 year old bestie for her birthday and had advised the restaurant in advance that she has some sight and mobility issues (and also that she'd love a birthday fuss!). They could not have been kinder and friendlier; she was genuinely touched. The food was also delicious and good value for money. Prices are what they are these days, and I think I'm often a bit disappointed with how good things actually taste vs what they cost, but both my friend and I really enjoyed each of our 3 courses (one on the set menu, one a la carte) and didn't begrudge the bill at all. I look forward to returning with other friends and family. Thank you.

This use to be a brilliant Turkish restaurant, we always felt it was the best and most authentic in town, but now it is anything but. Upon arrival it felt different, not so welcoming. We were a part of four, there was another party of eight, but they were finishing when we arrived. The menu did not appear to be a full as it use to be. Prices had been altered by sticking bits of paper on the menu rather than printing off new ones. We waited for about 30 minutes before we were asked for our drinks order, then another 15 for the drinks to arrive. The menu had EFS beer on draugh, but we were told that the menu was wrong and they don't do that any more, only in bottles. We ordered EFS in bottles, but after some time the waiter came back and said they didn't have any so we ended up with Becks. We opted for a cold and hot mezze to be shared between the four of us, but the hot mezze missed and ingredient that then had to be cooked separately and arrived after we'd finished the starter. The main courses were OK, not great and some food was left because it just wasn't good enough such as the side tomato salad on the plate. I had lamb chops, they were skinny and dry and not worth £18.50 (sticky label price increase) for 4. At about 8.30 the heating came on, the radiator next to us got hot. This was during an extremely hot spell of weather with temperatures in the 30's outside. The car payment machine was not working, so we had to dig around amongst us to find cash. Even the bill was amateurist, written on a scape of paper and present in a wooden box with a broken hinge. Throughout our meal we were annoyed by loud music from a function upstairs, sounded like a disco. All-in-all we were unhappy with our experience and will not be going back.

We visited Stevenson’s Fish Bar in Sheringham after hearing it was one of the top-rated places for chips in the area, and while it mostly lived up to its reputation, there were a few bumps in the experience. To start, the shop is quite small, which can make it feel cramped on busy days, especially when you’re waiting for an order. Though the staff behind the counter were friendly and welcoming, we did have an unusually long wait. Unfortunately, it turned out our order had been overlooked, so several people who arrived after us received their food first. It wasn’t until we flagged this up that they realized the mistake. A simple ticket system could make this process smoother and help avoid any future mix-ups. Once our chips arrived, they were served piping hot, which was a big plus. The chips were well-cooked, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and fluffiness inside. Portion sizes were just right—not too skimpy and not overwhelmingly large. Overall, Stevenson’s Fish Bar offers a good product with a warm, friendly atmosphere, but a bit of improvement on the ordering system could make the experience more enjoyable.
