loved the goat curry but could do with less bones first time trying tho but enjoyed...also had festival dumplings was not what I was expecting was to doughy and not a filling....like I said first time trying so not sure if that's how they are done....the plantain was delicious 😋 would have again without the dumplings

First time ordering from here and I can honestly say the best takeaway I have had in a long time. I did have an issue with one of the dishes which I called the restaurant direct and they delivered a brand new dish no questions ask. we can't wait to order from here again. No more chinese take away for us

Always loved there food , first time at the gorleston shop, great people , lovely atmosphere it's a must visit if you like flavour. I traveled from lowestoft to get a takeaway but can't wait to go for a meal at the shop next time The festivals are banging !!

I had a lovely meal with friends and family (a party of 10) here to celebrate my MIL's 85th birthday. The food was excellent and authentic and the atmosphere was lovely. We look forward to returning in future ❤

Ordered tonight for collection. After arriving to collect after 35 minutes, they said they had “lost” our ordered. Then had to wait another half hour for it. Was not offered anything to compensate. When we got it home, we found we had been given leg after ordering breast for both and both orders were without coleslaw. Tried to ring the restaurant to resolve and there was no answer, so then had to return to the restaurant to sort it out. Really poor customer service and overall disappointment.

I order Caribbean food every fortnight, I've always gone to a commercial chain and thought I'd try something a little bit more authentic... It's completely different. Never experienced such flavoursome food! The chefs are incredible and their staff are so welcoming! Definitely will be back

flavour is fantastic, portion size is pretty sad and very disappointed to find the coleslaw that is usually great was a really sad tiny pot of plain lettuce and carrot. I tell people that this restaurant is my favourite but I think today is the day I can no longer say that.

This place has been my fave takeaway in the area but it’s missed the mark last couple of times. Food was cold. Fries used to be delicious but last few times they’ve been super salty and they were really soggy today so didn’t eat them. Hoping it’s just a blip

I think this is my new favourite place! Amazing food and service. We shared a few mains (curried goat, veg curry and jerk chicken) with some dumplings. It was all so nice, and when split between 4 very reasonably priced! Thank you 🙂

Food was nice but I only got 2 bits of meat. Ordered medium meals but that was ridiculous. At least 4 or 5 bits of meat would be acceptable

Been a while since I last ordered. Usually the mutton curry. But tonight I tried the chicken and it was very little I could do but to eat all. I don't usually eat all but tonight I did and so lush. Recommend to anyone.

As someone who has had their food for the last five years, and raving about it...I've just spent nearly £50./, and unfortunately the portion sizes are shocking for what I paid for. Not enough rice at all in each of the meals - there is usually more than enough to go over two days! And I rally dislike the fact they now just dump the salad/slaw in the container with the rice and meat - I/we have always liked having it separate as often we save some for the next day, and it's nice when it's fresh on the side. Sorry, but really disappointed as I feel ripped off. Although the curried chicken was just warm on arrival, the food still tasted nice as a whole, and the delivery time was decent.

The quality of the food was good, but the salad and coleslaw portions were tiny. Personally, the food was too spicy and I could not eat some of it.

Only place for Soul Food for miles, the smell of my curry goat had me literally salivating. The food is so phenomenal and authentic i almost broke out in patois 😂

August 2023 - Delivery - Quick service - Good food although slightly dry without any sauce given for the jerk chicken and rice (also no peas which stated would be included).

Being from Birmingham were there are many Jamaican Caribbean restaurants/takeaways and coming from a Jamaican background and being brought up on Jamaican food I have to say Coral Bay was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to, everything tasted lovely and fresh nothing tasted reheated. Me and the family ordered brown stew chicken, curry chicken, plantain, fried dumplings, festivals and WOW it was delicious soft dumplings soft festivals the chicken was beautifully done, you could tell it was cooked with love, the staff were wonderful and welcoming, I couldn’t stop complementing the food honestly it was excellent, big up to the chef his wife and his family they treated us really well, if I never lived so far I’d be there anytime I don’t cook, can’t rate them enough definitely recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have been using these guys since they had the stall on the market place in Great Yarmouth and never ever been disappointed. The food is great. Really flavourful and a great selection. Go and try. If you can't get there, they're also on JustEat and Deliveroo

The curried goat had more bones than meat. And the goat curry with rice had no sauce. I am really unhappy.

Really disappointed with this from start to finish. Ordered the curried goat which I thought would be great after reading all the reviews. Last time I had curried goat (elsewhere) it was boneless. Google has suggested it can come either with or without. Unfortunately, it was full of bones, large ones but also tiny ones that were sharp and I couldn’t see. After two mouthfuls and trying to pick it out I gave up. My wife was then out off our dish too and I ended up whipping to the chippy. I sent a message and requested a refund on my dish only, even though none of our mains were consumed. Had that of been sorted I wouldn’t have left this review as it’d had been one of those things but over a day later I’ve had no response from the request/message. A shame but a complete waste of money and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Came across this gem whilst visiting Great Yarmouth and without a doubt, the nicest Caribbean food we’ve had in a long time. The portion sizes were generous and the festivals were the best I’ve ever had!! Authentic, flavoursome food that beats the large chain Caribbean restaurant (T B) any day!

Delivery was slow but the food was really tasty

The food was amazing as always, and the size of the "Large" portions definately live up to their name. Worth every penny! Also those sweet dumplings are crazy good. But if you are going order some, prepare to feel guilty. They are too good. Overall, another 10/10 meal from this resteraunt.

the chicken curry was AMAZING. honestly im such a picky eater and i ate the whole thing i really enjoyed it:pp i could eat it every day. but the salad was rather disappointing:o very fine strips of lettuce and grains of carrot. thats not what id say a side salad is at all:( the goat curry i knew contained bones but jesus i didnt realise every bite would have one but they were big portions well worth the money🙏and also coleslaw was yummy:D and drinks well worth £2.50 the bottles are big!:)) lotus cheesecake presentation beautiful cant wait to eat it :DD

The chicken curries were pure oil the food got delivered during the time bracket which was good however the oil from the food had leaked everywhere in the bag and even started coming through the carrier bag. Such a shame as the food from there is normally lovely but I was disappointed this time around. And the food was cold.

The food tasted very nice. I was abit disappointed that the goat curry contained some very large bits of bone, and very little meat. The salad came in a tiny pot. I do think for the price the portion sizes should have been bigger.

Never received Patties, Many item menus were missing and the portions we received were much smaller than we have received in the past when ordering here. Was told I would be reimbursed for the missing patties however they forgot to put the cash in the bag and when I rang up they assured me they would transfer the money to my account and that it was all 'going through' I have yet to receive my refund still despite them saying it has cleared so now I have to take it up with JustEat. Very disappointed as this was my favourite takeaway but this coupled with the decreased portion sizes means I wont be ordering here again.

Food was barely even warm, I would say more coke than warm. Had to but in oven to reheat so was a little dry after reheating but tasted ok. Can’t understand how a curry and a stew can arrive cold, should be piping hot when dished out for driver. Live a short distance away

This was the first time I've ever ordered from here and have to say it was brilliant. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I had Curried goat which was really tasty and the hot wings are probably the best around they were great. My brother also had Chicken curry which smelt really good. I will definitely be coming back here again soon. If I get a chance might even sit in and eat it next time.

We had wanted to visit this place for a while as my partner always enjoyed the food when they were on the market place. We went in December, I had seen a Christmas menu on Facebook which was a deal for two or three courses, so I asked about this only to be told it had to be prebooked. I found this a bit odd as the dishes appeared to be all the same ones from the normal menu (except for dessert) but just cheaper, so I assume they just didn't want to do the better value deal. The restaurant was freezing cold, we had to sit with our coats on. The atmosphere was underwhelming, we expected reggae music and a Caribbean theme but it just wasn't there. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. The selection of desserts was disappointing being a choice of two bog standard items. The food wasn't offensive but it didn't live up to expectations and I probably won't return.

I would love to give this order a full top marks but unfortunately this time I can't. The food was gorgeous, as always. Excellent flavours and just the right amount of spice. Love it! Delivery was quick and on time. The only problem was, the food arrived cold. I even warm my plates beforehand, and it didn't help at all. It was cold. Although it won't stop us ordering again in future, we can just hope that this is an isolated issue and next time it will arrive hot.

ABSOLUTELY amazing!! have always lived here and can't believe I have never been/ ordered from here. Me and my friend came on tuesday, they weren't doing restaurant services only takeaway options, which was fine because the take away menu is great too! and we still were allowed to use the restaurant and order from the bar as "normal." I had the Jerk Chicken and for £3 extra got a "half/half" option of curried goat which both were amazing and cooked to perfection I really couldn't fault it if I tried ! I will definitely be returning and telling friends and family about this place. Food came up to £25 & drinks came up to £10, totally worth every penny! *It is a Jamaican restaurant so please be aware some level of spice tolerance is required/ however we didn't have any issues!
