Wanted to find a Greek restaurant nearer to home. Restaurant looks grubby but you can’t judge a book by its cover. Wish we had. Tiny, over priced portions of not very nice food. Will stick with the Olive Garden in future, worth the extra travelling and never disappoints.

Well, I don't know from where to start... We were a group of 11 including 3 children, After a late visit after work, ( we have 3 restaurants in Cambridge) to Great Yarmouth we've decided to stop in this establishment for a meal..was just after 9 so obviously the place was empty but the owner didn't have any problem to accommodate all of us and we really appreciated it. We did order the drinks but most of them like coke and sparkling water were not available ...which is really strange for a restaurant but the waiter said that they have problem with their supplier...(silly excuse)...we then ordered our starters but when they came out, the portions were really tiny when we did ask bigger portions when ordering because we didn't mind to pay extra money but we wanted big portions...the olives, if you go to a Greek restaurant you imagine to eat Greek olives, but unfortunately we've only had the cheapest olives (without bones) that you can find in Tesco or asda...few slices of pita bread and 2 big slices of halloumi to share between 11...not good! After our starters we've been waiting at least 1 hour and 20 minutes for our mains who were all inedible and both my chefs who were with us for dinner did refuse their meals to be placed on the table when they saw the other guests pasta, if you can call it pasta...the worst pasta that I've ever seen in all my life...frozen seafood mix maybe 3rd choice from the suppliers or Tesco...spaghetti left in the boiling water for at least 20 minutes and the result was a plate of glue, with frozen mussels and frozen squid in a plate full of water...we felt really embarrassed and offended especially when we did complaint and the waiter said that English people love it!! Do you think English people are stupid??????nobody like that food !! Being Italian and having 3 restaurants I can only say that english people are my customers as well and you are offending them too!! Don't tell me that the meat was good because it wasn't...we ate the ribeye because we were starving but the CHIPS were soaking in the dirty and old oil and I know what I'm talking about!! I buy all my meat in Smithfield market I London and all my fish in Billingsdale in London to deliver to my customers the best quality of food!! Why don't you deliver to your customers the best quality as well? This places shouldn't complaint when they fail because they knows the reasons from the beginning! My advice for you, is, to employ a proper Greek chef!!! Because even the other 4 mains that you brought out at nearly 12:00 a.m to replace the 6 portions of seafood spaghetti, were inedible!! Maybe even older than my grandfather ...this is why one of my guest went outside your restaurant to vomit! We did payed 240.00 pounds only because we are honest people but I think that we should pay only for the drinks because we know the food, we know the waiting time on food and we know how to cook... One of my chef of last night, is a Michelin star chef who didn't touch anything!!! From your previous rude reply to your customers on TripAdvisor I'm sure that you'll try to say that we are wrong and this is a lie but trust me, there is no way that you can call your place, "restaurant"! The restaurant, normally has chefs with experience...they study to become chefs, they don't wake up in the morning and open a restaurant pretending to be good...our dinner was awful and expensive...we were all really embarrassed...we've been in mykonos, in Xanti and kefalonia but I can assure that the food that we've had last night was the worst and cheapest food ever!! Please people do yourself a favour!! Don't waste your time!

We were having a look for some dinner and nearly walked past this restaurant. Although I'd suggest maybe trying to make it look a bit more appealing from the outside, we were all very pleased we decided to eat there. We all stuck to the Greek food and purposely avoided the steaks, etc. Why go to a Greek restaurant and eat steak & chips? There's plenty of restaurants around offering that kind of food. Anyway, back to the Greek food.....we all thought the food was delicious and some commented that it tasted as good as anything they've had when eating in Greece. All the food was freshly made, we had starters, mains and desserts. I had the Beef Stifado.....it was amazing and the beef was melt in the mouth! The service was brilliant as well and the owner was very welcoming and was a great host. I will definitely go back there again when I next visit Great Yarmouth!

Me and my partner thought we would try this restaurant as we love Mediterranean food. We were greeted by a very pleasant you man. Yes it was quite but obviously a new restaurant but one that would become busier in high season. The food was lovely and we were informed that it was a family run restaurant. Best of luck for the future.

Visited on a Thursday, when we walked in and saw it empty we should have known! The food was the worst meal I’ve had, and I’m disappointed as my hesband is Greek and we hoped for better! We ordered the souvlaki and the mousakka. The souvlaki came with half a piece of pitta, half a tomato and a bit of cuecumber. The chips that we were assured were French fries, were thick bits of potato fried in the oldest worst smelling oil. When we asked for more pitta we were charged. My mousakka was worse than a microwave meal with a bit of aubergine inside that was so hard my knife wouldn’t even go through it. I feel cheated that I’ve paid to have a meal that we didn’t even eat and we ended up eating elsewhere after actually paying for a dinner. Please avoid!!!

We (6) selected this at random when looking for somewhere to eat in the evening. The menu was limited (more coming soon we were assured) but varied, with plenty for greek-food fans but also for those preferring more ordinary food. The service (Mario) was attentive without being over-bearing, he was happy to talk about greek-food, the history of the restaurant, out holiday to date and so on. £120 for six people (five starters, six mains, two desserts, drinks). As I've written in other reviews the key test is would I go back ot look around locally for something better? I'd deffo go back.

What a strange place. We ended up at the Mykonos as we could get into Chico's down the road. From the outside the restaurant looked clean and a bit quirky so we went in. We would see that a number of tables had "reserved" signs on them so we took that as a good sign. The waiters said that they would clear a table for us so we stayed. Once we had sat down we noticed a few things that we thought odd. Firstly there was no drinks menu at all, secondly all the signs, including the table reserved signs, were handwritten. Finally, even though the restaurant had only just opened, we were told certain dishes were off the menu. Our starters arrived and we started to get a clue as to why previous reviewers had given Mykonos such a low score. The mussels were just a few supermarket ones in a bland tomato sauce (no chilli) and the dips that came had just been emptied out of ready made pots and were accompanied by 1/3 of a single pitta bread (?) After out starters we were told that we should keep our used cutlery for the mains !!! The mains were again rather bland. The souvlaki was small and still partly raw in the middle and the meatballs were no better than supermarket own brand (however you would've had more from the supermarket). In the hour that we spent in the restaurant (8:00pm to 9:00pm) no one else arrived and it quickly become obvious that the reserved signs were a ploy to make the restaurant seem busier. All in all a disappointing experience. Although the waiters were friendly this didn't compensate from all the above. Give Mykonos a miss. There are much better restaurants in the local area.

A friendly, family run restaurant with delightful staff and delicious, fresh, home cooked food. There was nothing specifically vegan on the menu but they were happy to prepare me a vegan mezze platter, which was lovely, the garlic dip is fantastic.

We visited on a cold wet bank holiday Monday evening. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Greek music created the right atmosphere but it would have been better with more customers. The restaurant is located right on the seafront amongst the amusements and fish and chip shops. The signage all looks a bit temporary. But overall we would recommend this restaurant for a reasonably priced Greek meal.

We tried Othellos and Chicos on the off chance that we could get a table even though we hadn't booked. Full. So, just a few steps away, we noticed the Mykonos restaurant. Now, considering the other 2 places we tried were full, this one had just one table eating. Do we chance it, or move on? It was a wet Saturday night in Feb, the wind was howling and the sleet was blowing sideways, we went in. So glad we did. The waiters were friendly and informative about what food was on offer, and also knowledgeable with the wines available. Our food arrived and was just as good as we've had in Greece itself. We had the place to ourselves right up until the end when another couple arrived to enjoy their meal. Next time we're in Gt Yarmouth, we'd like to go back to the Mykonos.

If you want authentic Greek food avoid at all costs. My souvlaki was burnt and tasteless so sent it back ordered moussaka which was equally bland so left it . Waiter said they do not put herbs and spices in because they cater for English !

I first went to this restaurant with my fiancé in July. We ordered Greek souvlaki and a Greek salad. I was speechless when I saw the big portions and when I tasted the food! It was just AMAZING!! It reminded me a lot of my mother's tastes back to Greece. From that day on, every time we visit Great Yarmouth, we definitely go there to eat. In addition to this, the staff is really helpful, friendly and kind. Good and smiling persons! The decoration on the walls also reminds you of the Greek islands and opens your appetite even more. Last but not least, the prices are very reasonable. First time in England I saw prices like these ones. Normally restaurants that serve dishes from cuisines out of the UK are quite expensive and they overestimate their food. In Mykonos Gourmet you just pay what you get. Don't miss at the end of your lunch/dinner to taste the greek baklava that they usually offer. It is just delicious!
