The best restaurants in East of England

From the second we walked through the door the staff could not do enough! I met my friend here with my 2 children and we sat in a booth. Absolutely gorgeous freshly made food, lovely decor and my son adored the milkshakes! This place is suitable for any level of gathering

We found this little cafe online as we were looking for a dog friendly stop in Norwich. The staff were so friendly and definitely dog lovers. The lattes were really good. We both had panini's which were toasted and came with a lovely little bit of salad and coleslaw which were delicious. The other food, especially the sausage rolls looked good. It has a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

A very good night out, that's how I describe this place. As soon as you walk in you know it's going to be good. Lots of people in the bar, we sat in the restaurant which is lovely plenty of space and you can see the huge pizza oven. Service was friendly and we felt so welcome. Food was delicious and the beer was apparently a great pint! We will definitely be back.

I’ve not been here for about 10 years and it was lovely to see that some of the staff remains. All staff are super lovely. The foods was just as good as it was back then. I had the chicken Washington granary bap and a pot of peppermint tea. The side salad that came with the bap had a lovely dressing on it which was just right. I’ve been to places where they drown the salad in the dressing! The pot of tea was enough to do 2.5 cups and it’s a treat to have a proper china cup and saucer. Don’t ever change the way you do things here.

Best fish and chips in the area

Fabulous lunch on the special menu, it is a really lovely restaurant with fresh tasty food. We will be visiting again soon..

The food was served nice and hot, not too long to wait. Only one vegetarian option which was good, fish portion was small but tasty and chips good. reasonably priced. Atmosphere was very friendly and a nice place to relax. It's a small pub but had a TV. Would return again.

Lovely staff and great food at good prices

Consistently great pizza. It’s worth booking The Sicilian dining room for an occasion but the pizza will be just as good in the main area. Excellent coffee and cannoli too.

Stopped for a breakfast bap. You get a big portion of good quality bacon and sausage and his workspace is spotlessly clean. Easily the cleanest scran van I've ever seen. Watching Carl work is a treat also, the man is a machine. Totally mesmerising it has to be seen to be understood. Cheers

Friendly, prompt service with great coffee and my wife says the scones are great too!

We chose the Lodge for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations. We could not have chosen anywhere better. There were 22 of us. The food was amazing, service impeccable and the Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We will definitely return, as will so many of the first timers in the party. A real hidden gem
