Absolute lifesaver! Proper nosh freshly cooked, and plenty of it. Carl gives you a lot of options as to exactly how you want your eggs, etc. His kitchen is spick and span, and the results are delicious. Good food should make your day - Carl's certainly made mine.

Was feeling a cheeky burger when I stumbled across Carlsburger. I had to go for the one and only "Carlsburger" 1/2 pounder, cheese, two bacon rashers, 2 eggs, and condiments of your choice (I went for lettuce, grilled onions, ketchup and a sprinkle of pepper). Overall a very satisfied Stomach. Will be stopping off again (not too soon otherwise I'll be 20 Stone in no time)

For a roadside catering van, I must say this was very clean and well maintained. The service was A1. And the food was cooked properly and freshly made. Prices were competitive and compared with McDonald's and the fast food chains you couldn't fault it. The proprietor was pleasant and happy to serve.

Always the absolute bloody best food you'll find on the road. Carl's attention to detail is second to none, highly recommended and always worth a stop even if you're not that hungry. Also I'm a lorry driver, I've never had an issue here.

Always top quality and it’s like that for years!

He treats the bay as his property. If you don't buy from him, he's rude and tells you to leave the bay. He treats truck drivers like garbage. I definitely don't recommend it.

So for 1st burgers made from very bad quality beef meat so is not worth ruined health for that. For 2nd very very rude fella. Shouting on HGV drivers, banging on his doors and yelling to get out from lay-by as if it were his own but everyone knows it isn’t. So my good advice is avoid that place and to another truckers don’t care about him any problems call police or that rude place report to council and another authority maybe when he lost and back to his own driveway with that shed maybe understand what mean cooperative and respect to another people. In worst scenario one day he pull wrong truck handle and someone bang his silly forehead or use pepper spray 💁🏻‍♂️ Food = avoid Parking = recommended any time 👊🏻

Poor service. Doesn’t like lorry drivers. Save yourself the hassle and go BP and get a rustlers burger and then park in the public lay-by not a car park for his customers

Stopped in this morning. Haven’t had the opportunity for years. Still the benchmark breakfast bap. All other vans out there should aspire to be this good. Excellent!!

After driving past Carlsburger for many years I stopped and had a Bürger. What can I see great prices fast polite and the food was fantastic one of the best I’ve ever had. Now it’s my go to for food over a lot of places Nothing but respect and quality

Horrible man, verbally abusive towards lorry drivers. I Have the video evidence. Thinks he owns the layby stopping lorrys from parking in it specifically irish and Scottish lorrys. Calling us scum. Really knows how to not treat past costumers. I'll never be anywhere near it again nor will any of my co workers.

Amazing roadside greasy cafe / burger van. I've stopped multiple times here when I'm in the thetford area and it better than stopping in a cafe. The carlsburger should be a national treasure!!!

Stopped for a double bacon cheeseburger this morning, all cooked to order was asked how I want the bacon, butter in the roll and what sauce would you like excellent service and the burger was huge and delicious washed down with a cup of tea thanks 🙂🙂

Great little roadside takeaway, all freshly cooked to order. Never seen anyone move so fast to complete his orders. Good cup of tea and fresh baps a decent size for your choice of filling.

Nothing to do with his food but was parked in lay-by with my truck for my 9 hours daily rest, 5 hours into my rest I had a knock at door, this guy said can you move further down lay-by cos my customers can’t get parked, I’m starting to lose money, the cheek of it! Did not realise this guy owned the lay-by!
