Got a takeaway from here for the first time this evening. A super kind, friendly member of the team met me at the door as I had my dog with me. They brought my order to the door I placed online really easily. Food was delicious!! Will be recommending to local friends and will be going back 5⭐️

Stopped in here at the weekend for a quick bite to check it out and would highly recommend to anyone! Lovely food and very reasonably priced. We had a mezze platter, hummus with flatbread and Turkish coffee. Our waiter was lovely too - please check out this gem!

No photos but highly recommend this lovely place! After a long drive down from North Yorkshire we were ready for food and our friends had booked this for us all. There really are no words. The amount of meat, both chicken and lamb in the shish kebabs was phenomenal, tender and cooked to perfection. The accompanying salads and bread was to die for. Seriously will definitely be returning next time we're in Norfolk, pics will follow though as we were too hungry this time!

I recently dined at Taste of Istanbul, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The food was an explosion of flavours, blending traditional Turkish cuisine with modern twists that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Every dish was prepared with the utmost care and authenticity, offering a genuine taste of Istanbul right here in Dereham. The service was equally outstanding. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly attentive and friendly. They made us feel right at home, ensuring that every need was met promptly and with a smile. Their recommendations were spot-on and enhanced an already fantastic dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant perfectly complemented the exceptional food and service. It was warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated with elements that transported us to the streets of Istanbul. A perfect setting for a memorable meal. If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience, Taste of Istanbul is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalising menu. Five stars all the way!

Ordered two loads of chicken shish and a strawberry cheesecake. Shish was good, however cheesecake was completely mouldy!!!

Down visiting family. Came from the Highlands north of Scotland and can honestly say best steak I've eaten, everything about the meal was spot on!!!

Starters were OK but the lamb in our mains was like shoe leather & borderline inedible. Nobody came to ask if the food was OK and when I asked for a slight reduction in the bill I was refused. Won't ever go back.

Our first time ordering tonight and we'll definitely be ordering again. We had the jumbo platter and all of the meat was perfectly cooked and delicious, particularly the lamb ribs as they were so meaty. The salads were lovely and fresh and the sumac added an extra level of flavour. The bread was really light and fluffy and the rice and bulgar wheat were cooked just right. The hot meze platter was delicious and according to my sons the calamari was the best theyve ever had . Good value for money and friendly, quick service.

Had a really great meal last night. Out with Friends and the place was buzzing. Food is cooked fresh to order, so you might have a little time to wait for your main course but it's definitely worth it. The food was amazing, very tasty and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of choice on the menu with decent sized portions on both the starters and mains. We'll certainly be eating here again.

I went here for dinner with my son and the atmosphere was friendly, the food was delicious. I love Turkish cuisine and I am really happy to have a Turkish restaurant near my home. I will definitely return whenever I will have the chance.

Food and service are excellent every single time, which is why we never need an excuse to go. The staff are always so friendly and attentive and even when they are busy, will always find us a table.

Everything about this place is superb. The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is great and the food is mouth wateringly good. The prices are also great. This is good quality, fresh and tasty food at a fantastic price. Best food available in Dereham and one of the best in Norfolk in my opinion. I will continue to return here time and time again.

Excellent Turkish food. Friendly service. Pleasant restaurant although it was a bit chilly in there. To be fair, it was bitterly cold outside and the restaurant had only been open a short while. We will definitely go again as the food was so good.

Had a chicken and lamb kebab takeaway. Good portions, the rice and couscous was a nice additional to the meal. Very tasty.

My partner and I visited the restaurant on Tuesday for our date night. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff smiling and friendly. We waited a little bit for the food (they were quite busy), but it was worth it! Will definitely come back.

The whole experience was 0/10. We ordered medium rare steaks and they came well done, not only that they were extremely tough and dry. Plus once our food arrived no one came to check on how our food was once, I had to go up to the bar to get the bill and once the manager came over with the bill, we politely explained the poor quality of the meal that we left over half of expecting at least a discount, however the staff were not apologetic at all and we were only offered £5 off the £60 overall order. Would not recommend in the least.

Our medium rare steak’s came dry, extremely well done and flavourless. The service was appalling. The owner walked away when we questioned our bill due to the fact we didn’t consume all the steaks. We received a £5 discount on one drink. Well not be returning again.

OMG! What a great night! This has been the best meal I’ve ever had in Dereham! We started with a cold meze & a hot meze, which are the most amazing platters of couscous, calamari, bread, meats & sauces, absolutely amazing! For mains we had chicken & lamb shish which came with rices & salad & bread! So stuffed! But so happy!! Would recommend to all! Will be coming back again very soon! What a great meal, restaurant, and the staff were amazing! Very friendly & very knowledgeable! Love this place! 😊. Had a night out with friends last Saturday, booked table for 8pm, arrived just before, wasn’t too busy, got shown to our table & subsequently waited for 20mins for service before we gave up & headed somewhere else! Bit of a disappointment after the fantastic service we have received on many occasions here! Will try again in near future, if all up to standard will delete this update!

First time visititing this establment and found it was good value for money on the order and staff seemed friendly. Its a small sized restaurant which i can imagine gets very busy in the evenings and to note the one toilet was clean. I most likely would visit again if I was in the area. One downside would be lack of parking as we had to park down in the highstreet open car park and walk. Recommend

I was in Dereham and I was looking for a nice classy Turkish Restaurant for dinner with a group of friends. We found ‘The taste of Istanbul’ which was a very great choice Everyone was very friendly and full of joy which made us very comfortable. The mix meze platter was a very good starter to start us off with and after that we had the main meal which was the Full platter. The Lamb Ribs especially was very tasty and juicy, everything else was amazing too. Definitely recommend it to anyone in Dereham this is the place you should be at…..

Called in for early evening bite after day of fasting ! First task was a refreshing pint of draught Cobra, followed by turkish pide with chlli & garlic sauces & a lovely lemon juiced salad ! For mains it was the mixd meat platter on rice & couscous. The lamb & chicken Shish were perfect apart from the low number of them, chicken wings & minced lamb kofta pieces were fine, but the lamb ribs a tad over- cooked & a bit dry so a good job the roasted peps & toms were nice & juicy to compensate !! Very friendy waiter, but no turkish delight , baklava pieces or Turkish tea offered with the bill as is in the case of other such establshments !

The Taste of Istanbul is our favourite treat for delivery. The portions are very generous, the food is delicious, and the service is always courteous and timely. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful local restaurant! My partner says I’m cheesy, but it’s really the truth! ;)

Absolutely lush food. Went today for Sunday lunch. Calamari and garlic mushrooms delish for starters. For mains we had chicken wings and lamb chops, came with rice/couscous, salad and Turkish bread. Everything perfect, however I would suggest half the portion of rice and couscous. All washed down with a bottle of Turkish red wine and Baklava to go. Excellent service and very pleasant ambiance. Will defo go again, thank you Guys!!!!
