Disgusting behaviour from the manager at Centurion Club. He referred to my family as “you lot” — blatantly rude and racist. Who does he think he is? We don’t come here to be spoken to like second-class citizens. Then he had the audacity to bring up some supposed “commotion” from a previous visit — even though we gave positive feedback at the time. Instead of taking complaints like a real manager and improving the place, he chose to argue and act superior. Totally unprofessional and clearly not used to dealing with people outside his little bubble. If you're a person of colour, think twice before coming here. Avoid this place — it’s not worth your money or your dignity.

We went on a Monday bank holiday and it was very busy. We arrived and there was a queue to get seated which was handled very efficiently. The venue is just beautiful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great otherwise it would have been nice to sit outside. Our waitress came and saw us quickly and we had drinks within 10 minutes of ordering. I ordered the mushroom pie which sounded delicious but it was a bit bland and it wasn't something I would order again. My daughter had the chicken and ham pie and enjoyed it and my husband had the fish and chips and said it was good. I had the apple crumble which wasn't great - lots of soggy apple with very little crumble (served with ice cream when I would have preferred custard which they didn't have unfortunately). My husband had a mini pudding and coffee which was just enough (sticky toffee). All in all a good meal but I just think I chose the wrong thing and the crumble is probably to be avoided.

We have used this company for birthdays over the pandemic and they have been absolutely brilliant. Staff are so lovely and helpful and great prices! Really made a special birthday treat. Highly recommended!

This is now called 'India Gate' and though first appearance may lead you to think it's just another high street, Indian restaurant that offers a huge menu with all the British favourites like korma, madras, tikka then it's maybe not for you. The menu is much smaller and they actually cook the food in the kitchen as opposed to heating pre-cooked meat up in ready made sauces. Very attentive service and very reasonable drinks prices.
