A great little place for coffee and lovely homemade cakes by Amy. Ideal for walkers and cyclists. Farm fresh eggs and bottled apple juice also available. Highly recommended and we will be back.

We had lovely refreshements at the Elevenses weekend seasonal café at the edge of the Gorhambury estate which is very popular with walkers and cyclists. Whilst only more than a horsebox at the edge of a field with some plastic chairs and hay bales for seating, the coffee was great and so were the cakes and the ice cream. We arrive by bicycle with a young child, so for us, the safest route was via a lovely cycle through the Gorhambury estate (which included a stop at the picturesque remains of old Gorhambury house). Open from May to the end of October. Often open on Bank Holiday Monday's (but then not open on the Saturday)

Was a lovely afternoon treat boating Charlie’s. Lovely atmosphere, the food was yummy and tea was very nice (and strong! Love strong tea!) obviously less strong is available! They have a really good selection of vegan/non-diary alternatives which is super!! Space to sit indoors or outside as well as takeaway, which seemed to be very busy too. Definitely a good sign. Will definitely be back. The team there were lovely and friendly too - thank you xx

This place was recommended by a friend and I’m so pleased that we tried it. From the moment I phoned to book we felt welcome. I called the day before for a table of six on a Friday night for my daughter’s birthday and although they seemed busy when we arrived and one of their chefs was off they still took our booking which I was very grateful for. The food was lovely and the portions were generous. We all enjoyed our food, both starters and mains. The year before we’d gone to an Itallian in London and ended up with tiny overpriced portions but these portions were the perfect size even for the most hungry of our group! I didn’t manage all of mine but was kindly given a box to bring it home in. We would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

Wonderful independent cafe, with incredible food and service! Service - owner and staff incredibly friendly and hugely welcoming Food - wonderful savoury and sweet delights - huge selection and great to have variety of portion sizes too (e.g., my mum was not overly hungry, so had a bite sized treat. I had a bigger appetite, so decided to have a bigger pastry) Drinks - coffee (hot and tasty). Have good selection of teas too. Wonderful little tables outside - great on a warm day.
