Ate here last night and choose the 50th Anniversary taster menu , every element was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The ambiance of the old mill coupled with friendly and very professional staff makes the Mill perfect. We can’t wait to return. Thankyou Ludo and team

Absolutely exceptional. Great setting, very relaxed experience with absolutely stunning food. Did not disappoint in any way shape or form. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a special meal to enjoy and would suggest you go as soon as you can! This is up there with the best restaurants in all of Norfolk, if not the UK.

We called in here for coffee and cake on the way home from a garden centre where we gave up waiting in the cafe. This cafe was delightful. Friendly welcome, very clean toilet, good selection of homemade cakes. There was a painting class in progress so we sat in the shop with lots of lovely things to look at. We usually avoid cafetière coffee because of the sludge but we were very pleased with this coffee - lovely and clear and excellent flavour and much cheaper than espresso machine coffee usually is. It was a horrid wet and windy day but Willow really cheered me up. We will come again.

I do not usually write reviews, but our experience at The Wildebeest deserves one. We visited last night for my Husband's birthday and both opted for the 7 course tasting menu. Every single dish was stunning, from both a taste and visual perspective. The service was impeccable. Each person who attended to us did so with a smile. They were also very knowledgeable about the food and wine, presenting the dishes to us with confidence. Thank you, we will be back soon.

A huge thanks to Emily at the Harford Bridge Costa who helped me out when I had a dizzy spell and got my coffee for me. I also saw her helping a family with young children and one had spilt their drink everywhere, she was very calm and kind. These things make all the difference. I'm fairly regular and I've always found the staff to be helpful but this was above and beyond

Having been Brasted’s devotees, this was our first visit to the restaurant at Caistor Hall and it was excellent. The whole building has been refurbished and now looks modern and welcoming. The room housing the restaurant under previous ownership was cold and underwhelming but is now a fine place to eat The menu essentially is the Brasted’s three course fine dining restaurant with good choices, good portion sizes and exceedingly well cooked. Many aspects set Brasted’s apart but one of them is the professionalism of the waiters and waitresses. Very well trained and very much appreciated. Would that other establishments aiming to operate in the fine dining arena got this important aspect right Nice to have comfortable lounges for a pre dinner drink and very nice to know that Caistor Hall is being well run and fulfilling its potential - we look forward to the result of the new extension works. Strongly recommended - best place to go

One of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant ever! Took ages to receive both starters and mains, with at least a 45 minute gap in between them… which went very slowly as I couldn’t get the awful potted crab taste out of my mouth for the entire time. When asked if they had any gluten free bread, we were met with a “maybe” and then they never mentioned it again. As mentioned, potted crab for starter was definitely out of a can, and the chips that came with my steak were 100% McCains oven chips. I don’t mind McCains, but nearly £40 for that and an overcooked “rare” steak, quite frankly my love for them goes out the window. However, it does provide quite good entertainment watching staff constantly apologising for 1 hour waits, with them seeming to think that dumping a bread roll on any aggravated table sorts out the matter… the only saving grace there was Evie, one of the waitresses, of whom appeared to be sent to any of those aggravated tables to make them laugh a little - only staff member with personality. So shout out to Evie, as I doubt the restaurant would have lasted long without her. £105 in total for 2 people, 2 courses, and quite frankly, I think my tortoise has had better meals.
