Where to start… We bought spa day in Dunstall Hall Hotel. Disappointment from the start. Dirty toilet full of wee in our hotel’s room, messed up treatment and disgusting food. We have waited 1h 45min (this is a really long time) for the food which wasn’t worth waiting. I wouldn’t pay £5 for it. Do not recommend this place!!!

The place is tired but I only went for spa day with 2 treatments. That part was amazing. Had afternoon tea which was OK but had better.

Our room was superb with plenty of space. Very clean and comfortable bed. The staff were very polite and helpful. Unfortunately on our first night we had a meal in their restaurant and had to wait nearly an hour to receive it and that was after we spoke to a waitress asking where it was. The risotto was rather bland and tasted like it had been standing around a bit and the texture wasn't soft. Breakfast was fine, nothing earth shattering.

We booked afternoon tea for 5 people to celebrate my birthday and I loved the experience, the place is magnificent, food was delicious and we had the best customer service.

The sofas in the conservatory are far too low for the tables, so unless very you are very tall, it makes any dining experience quite uncomfortable. As a regular, you see time and time again, people complaining (at least amongst themselves), about it. In general the entire seating within the lounge bar area isn’t the best!

The worst laid out hotel I've ever stayed at, the place is like a maze. Everyone was getting lost constantly. For the price I would also expect air conditioning, the rooms were boiling. The furniture in the rooms also needed an overhaul, with veneer peeling away etc. Bathroom sink was blocked easily just by running water. Ablutions were not filled up. Thoroughly disappointing.

Beautiful hotel, was greeted by a lovely receptionist upon arrival. Stayed in a deluxe family room which was nice. Downside for the room - air conditioner controller only allowed heated air mode and no cooling mode (even though it indicates it has the frost logo mode). Did feel there was a lack of plugs, only two above a desk. Room service - only offered for breakfast, sadly i was working nearby at Snetterton and left before breakfast starting at 7am, with working locally until 7pm, it would have been nice to have the option of room service for food at in the evening.

We went to a wedding fair, the building is dark but incredible but the fair was a labyrinth through many rooms, it lacked coherence and there had to be guides to direct you, I think that sums it up! The garden terrace was lovely for coffee however.

A lovely short break. Food Spar and service was excellent. Room could be improved with better coffee making facilities and TV was very small and sound was poor quality. Otherwise everything else was lovely, clean and bed was comfortable

What a little gem we found in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the room was clean and spacious with an amazingly comfortable bed. The food in the Terrace was fantastic and the atmosphere and decor was relaxing, staff again were exceptional. We brought our pooch along and she was made to feel like a queen, all the staff gave her attention. Breakfast was plentiful and our doggo was allowed to dine with us (in of course a specific area). The grounds are beautiful and we also tried the driving range which had excellent facilities, the Trackman was great! We take our pooch to many hotels both in the UK and abroad and this has to be one of the best dog friendly ones. We definitely will be back!

Hey Dunston hall, I just want to give you some feedback on our Saturday night stay at your establishment, I would like to think we are a very liberal couple who look at life from all angles and more often than not give people and everyday situations the benefit of the doubt....but.....there are a few things that we just needed to share with you guys so you can hopefully make the next paying customers stay (especially in room 278) a lot more pleasant......firstly we wanted to celebrate a special occasion and open a bottle of bubbly and to our surprise there were no glasses in our room....not even the teeth cleaning tumbler glasses you find, that are even present in a budget ibis bathroom. However we were delighted to be given some at the bar after I trecked all the way back past reception to get them. Secondly we decided to switch the TV on.....remote did not work....so after using the manual buttons located on the TV to switch it on I decided to see if the remote actually had batteries in it....and to our horror the batteries had blown and were leaking white battery acid which is irritable to skin and very dangerous, of course I got this on my hands and washed my hands thoroughly immediately to avoid any serious harm. Thirdly the bed on the side of the door had what can only be described as a divet like pot hole making it very uncomfortable, I decided to sleep on that side and found myself waking several times throughout the night with a sore back and we both ended up curled on the unaffected side of the bed with a 'no mans land' type of space on the broken bed! The lamp shade on that side has looked like a cat had used it as a play thing. The room on the whole was very tired looking with hairs found in the bathroom also. We were also surprised there were no gowns or slippers provided. There is also a generator that woke me on a couple of occasions outside. Moving on from the room we decided to get some food, we arrived at the bar and ordered some drinks, asked about the restaurant and where we can eat, we felt asif we were served in a very abrupt manner and that the barmaid had more important things to be doing than serving paying guests. We both assumed it was because it was a Saturday night and it could be a busy period. We took a seat in the bar and lounge and decided to order our food from the menu, we ordered our food around 18:45pm other couples arrived after us and we're getting their food before us, over an hour passed and my partner went to the bar and asked is table 17's food going to be much longer please? After she did this our food turned up within 5 minutes it was 19:58 (I know this exact time because I took a photo of it on my phone) it is dining etiquette of an establishment to let the customer know if fhe wait on food is over 40 minutes but this was not stated when ordering. When the food arrived the only thing that was actually hot was the side of thick cut chips, my partner's chicken was cold and dry/chewy, and my chicken burger was dry and the coleslaw looked as though it had been left out of the chiller a long time as it was turning yellow, also my fries were cold. We were so hungry we decided to start eating it. The loaded nachos were also disappointing and once again were cold, all of the food looked as though it had been ready for a long time before somebody finally decided to deliver it to our table after we asked! So perhaps someone lost the ticket or your staff were just rushed off their feet (although there were plenty in the area we were dining) we felt the food was very expensive for what it was and we expected a lot better quality than what was delivered. Also a male member of your waiting staff had very bad body odour, I can appreciate it is very hot in the environment they work in but this was very off-putting when trying to enjoy a meal. All in all we were both really disappointed with our dunston hall stay and did no way reflect the price of the room you had charged. I do not usually do reviews but I felt like I had to share this with you. Apologies and thank you.

Golf range was gimmicky and grossly over priced, doesn't help facing the settin sun either, can't see a bloody thing on the range or on the track man screens.

My family and I are yearly visitors at Dunston Hall, however this year was a real disappointment. Our room had an awful smell (I think the previous occupants may have vomited on the carpet and the smell wouldn't go away). Our toilet and bathroom sink were blocked, even after I had been down to reception to complain and they said they would send maintenence straight up to sort the problem (they didn't fix it!). We would of liked to have ordered room service on our first night, but there was no phone in our room (again another complaint at reception that wasn't sorted!). I couldn't fault the food in the evenings, but what I could fault was the service. We had to wait just over an hour the first night for our food, then an hour and a half the second night. Admittedly, on the second night, our waiter did keep coming over to apologise and said we could have desserts on the house. I'm not usually one to complain, but this time, I've had to. Not sure if we will be going back next year as standard's have taken a big dive, which is unfortunate as the building itself is absolutely beautiful.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, plenty of parking and rooms are nice if not a little dated. The building itself is amazing to look at and there is a bar, restaurant, gym, spa, golf and driving range on site so plenty to do. If you're looking for an out of the way quiet place this is a good choice, there is also a Tesco/fuel 5 minutes away if you need anything.

Beautiful building and well maintained surroundings. However… Rooms are definitely dated, phones are not manned (tried to call a number of times), reception had 4 staff chatting, yet no one to answer the phone. Restaurant was disappointing: 3 out of 6 of the orders were messed up. I don’t understand how anyone can mess up a burger, but they did and it was disgusting (never ever had that happen before). What is the use of a swimming pool if guests are not offered bathrobe and slippers?

If you want a good place to stay, I would book Dunston Hall and relax. The car park is spacious, easy to access, and free. Amenities consist of a golf course, swimming pool, steam room, bar, and open grounds allowing guests to stroll. I never usually give any location 5 stars, but after staying in different locations, Dunston Hall deserves each star.

Visited for my mother’s birthday, staff had no idea of booking which was made couple weeks before. Marks on table cloth. Staff said they needed to set up which should have been done ‘the night before’. The food was very basic and minimal, one mini egg sandwich each per person for £30!!!!!! So expensive for not even the bare minimum. Cakes were worse than processed store bought! Would avoid at all costs!!

I thought afternoon tea here would be something special to celebrate a birthday but unfortunately it wasn't. The table we were allocated was right next to the counter where people stood drinking, chatting and paying (I believe they might have been staff from the business centre). When I commented on this to a member of staff she said they would soon be gone, but then more came and stood there for some considerable time. The table was undecorated and the teapot and cups plain. One of the teaspoons was dirty and had to be replaced. There was nothing special about it whatsoever. It was just like being in a cafe which you go in for just a coffee. Not afternoon tea special at all. It was more expensive than many in the Norwich area so I thought the experience would be reflected in the price. But it clearly wasn't. The food was nice, nothing special, only 2 different filling in the sandwiches. The scones were good, the cakes ok, but again nothing special. The staff were busy but quite friendly. I would not recommend The Orangery for an afternoon tea experience. I came away feeling very let down and disappointed from what I thought was going to be an enjoyable afternoon.

I called in at Victoria Fish Bar one evening last week when passing through Diss. I only purchased a portion of chips and battered sausage to take away but thought at the time that they were worthy of a review. Quite honestly, as good a portion of chips as I have ever had and excellent value. The battered sausage was of good quality with a lovely crispy coating of batter. Thank you.

Had lunch here, staff were helpful and pleasant, the food was okay but not exceptional. The setting is quiet with a slight nod to the 1940's. Not sure about the green neon light in the alcove but it was an adequate lunch.

The food the staff.. Everything perfect.. A special thanks to Willow the waitress.. I'm 72 and never seen anyone as fast working. Efficient and service with a smile. We were amazed.. Not saying this because we might know her which is not the case.. It's because we stay in Wyndham once a week from great Yarmouth and always praise people and establishments when they deserve it.. Thank you ALL at the White Heart.. Will definitely be back regularly and recommend 100 %.

I telephoned to check if dogs were welcome, and they were! We visited after a muddy trip to the woods. The staff were super accommodating and welcoming. The dog was provided with water and biscuits and we ordered the most delicious cakes, panini and hot chocolate. Unfortunately we did muddy up where we were sitting a bit but we were reassured this was absolutely not a problem. We will definitely be returning. Really lovely visit.
