Had lunch here, staff were helpful and pleasant, the food was okay but not exceptional. The setting is quiet with a slight nod to the 1940's. Not sure about the green neon light in the alcove but it was an adequate lunch.

We were very impressed with the lunch at Cornucopias new restaurant, The Parlour. The chef is superb and served us a steak melt which was local tender steak on sour dough with melted cheese and roasted peppers. There was also a warm comforting soup, corn and potato chowder with cheesy sauce served with a warm cheese scone. Talking to another table, the fish and chips are very high end with delectable hand made battered fish fingers of several types including salmon. Really satisfying and we will be back. There were an array of cakes and puddings that we will go back for then we are not on a diet. They looked delicious. Tea was served in lovely pots and refills were offered. The staff are really delightful.

Having visited Harleston's street market this afternoon we stumbled on the Cornucopia in a side street. Although we were nearing their closing time service was great and we were not rushed. The waitress was friendly and service was prompt. Afternoon tea with fruit scones and clotted cream was most enjoyable too. What more can a say from a short stop other than "We'll be back" !! ... and looking at another persons meal ... good to large portions ;-)

We ate lunch there April 18th 2018 - a couple of paninis with a side of chips and some cold drinks. Service was fast and the food fine. It looked like one man was doing everything. For the price it was hard to criticise. I have had better but the food was fine, service good and interesting surroundings (antiques). Compared with nearby Diss we did not think much of Harleston.

Loads to explore in this aladdins cave, and topped off with a traditional and quaint tea room with wonderful staff and reasonable prices. Set in the old Harleston corn exchange, which has been wonderfully and tastefully restored to house a variety of antiquities, ranging from small items like jewellery to larger items such as doors with stained glass features. The old fashioned bar that is also incorporated offers the chance to relive days gone by with some traditional board games and pub favourites such as dominoes available for use, all free of charge. The antiques are split into various rooms, each offering something different and unique. Something for everyone, the younger visitors will love the small sweet shop at the entrance offering some old favourites which can be hard to find nowadays, alongside some more modern and traditional items more readily available. A wonderful location where we found lots we would like, and loved the fact that the traders were prepared to haggle. Good coffee and will be returning regularly, even if only for another portion of the liver and bacon. Highly recommended.

Wow mug of coffee and slice of cake £5.10..!!! Good grief the cakes are £3.10!!What on earth are these people thinking? This place has a very antiquated concept which these days surely is dying out with the OAP generation. Antique centre really only sells grandmas attic junk which again is dying out, shouldn't really class itself as an "antique centre" at all.Average coffee and the cake is way overpriced.. Can't imagine where they got their price structure from.Omg please someone open up a good coffee shop in this town because so far since the little gallery in town closed ( and failed elsewhere!!) there's not been anything good for years, sad as there are about 5 in this small town!!!

The place itself is lovely as most of the building is an antique centre so had a look around before dining. Looking forward to the carvery but all we were offered was pork, over cooked beef, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, roast potatoes ,one Yorkshire pud and gravy. A very poor selection when the carvery is priced at £8.50. Also the "dinner' plates were quite small so you couldn't be greedy even if you wanted to! 3 of us had apple pie with ice cream but the pie had been microwaved to warm it up so the pastry was very soggy. There was only one choice of white wine : Pinot Grigio so we ordered a bottle of this and it was very pleasant. The staff were lovely too. However for what we paid I think we would have got more food for less money elsewhere in town.

We visited on a hot Sunday for a carvery lunch. There was a choice of pork or beef - both big joints. We had pork which was tender and delicious. The vegetables were simply cooked and not too al dente. On several other visits we have always found the service friendly and efficient and today was no exception. What was most enjoyable on this occasion was that despite the heat outside it was cool inside with a door open, and although there were other diners the noise level remained low. There is a lovely outside area, very well maintained and decorated, with several tables and also a shepherds hut and summer house which both had a table and chairs in. We will be returning.

Took an elderly friend here for tea and scones. The setting is fascinating, especially for older people to reminisce, so my friend enjoyed it very much. However, the scones were dry, as though they had been baked from a mix (or were they just old?) and the knitted tea cosy, which others find attractive, was stained with tea, so deeply unattractive to me. Having said that, my elderly friend enjoyed her cuppa and the surroundings, so not a disaster. Because of this, I didn't complain to the management, so to be fair they didn't have a chance to put it right.Prices were okay (about £2.50 for average sized scone & jam).

Food was not good at all , very Expensive for what you get . The manager attitude towards complaints is Discusting especially when you are told you had been in before complaining when Iv never stepped foot in the place until last Week. And as working as a assistant manager within the catering trade for a number of years I find that this manager customer service is appalling. When trying to complain about anything the tables are turned and it's all about him . After being told not to come back at all which I would not have done anyway . I've visited Cornucopia on several occasions and always enjoy my visits. The 30/40s style tea room serves tea in pretty cups and saucers with tea cosy-covered teapots. Gently elegant! The cakes are delicious and sandwiches tasty. Friendly service, too.It was raining when I last visited so I wasn't able to use the newly created garden area surrounding the tea room outside but it looked beautiful and is, apparently, well used on dry days. The antiques/collectables are displayed on the ground floor surrounded by delightful small 'shops' . There's a gallery upstairs, too. Plus a licensed bar.BUT, stall holders please note. You must rotate your stock more frequently (and dust it!) because you'll lose your repeat visitors when they see the same items for sale for weeks on end. That said, this centre has an ambience which makes it well worth a visit.

We popped over to Harleston this afternoon, just for a wander and decided to pop in to Cornucopia. So glad we did. Really lovely surroundings. The decked terrace at the back is charming, with the bathing hut and summer house tea houses which are magic. Nice and shady. The gardens have been done really, really nicely too. We had a cold drink and a sandwich. It was beautifully presented and the staff were really, really lovely. The bread for the sandwiches was fresh and it came with crisps and a little side salad, good amount of filling too. The cakes all looked good too. All nicely presented on mis-matched vintage china. We will certainly be back, and look forward to a hot drink and something toasted on a murky winter afternoon, and a lovely browse around the stalls.

My partner and I dropped in for lunch, attracted by the quirky period charm of the emporium, which also contains antiques and collectibles stalls. We ordered a pot of tea for two, a tuna sandwich and a smoked salmon sandwich. The service was pleasant but rather slow, to the extent that our tea (which was served quickly) was a bit stewed by the time the sandwiches arrived. The sandwiches were freshly prepared, but the fillings were rather sparse and the brown bread was standard supermarket fare. The side salad was fresh but had no dressing, nor was there any available on the table. The crisps were straight out of a supermarket cheese and onion bag, rather than anything hand-cooked. All in all, our meal, which cost £14 in total, seemed rather expensive given the rather mundane / sparse ingredients.

I came here with my Mum for lunch recently and was a little disappointed. We ordered a salmon sandwich each, which the menu stated came with crisps and salad. It did, but unfortunately the crisps were Cheese & Onion flavour which my Mum doesn't eat - I would have expected it to be specified on the menu if the crisps weren't the typical Ready Salted flavour and when we asked about it were told that they got a selection of packets of crisps and emptied them into a big bowl which they then used (this seems a little odd to me). Another small disappointment was that, although my sandwich was on lovely bread with a good amount of salmon, it also seemed to be rather thickly spread with margarine (I would have expected butter). I would come here again but I think next time will try the home made soup. Lunch was reasonably priced but the service did seem to be a little unenthusiastic.

This was a happy discovery today when visiting Harleston for shoes. A happy wander after a visit to the charity shops and then a wander around the town to discover this Alladins cave of vintage and antique items. It's arranged like an old fashioned Victorian arcade, with lts of different sellers putting together little collections of antiques and vintage clothes and linen. Some beautiful vintage clothes to be found towards the back and up stairs there is a record playing sending out some music that hits that nostalgia button for all. There is a section with some organic soaps and various beauty products up stairs - as well very handily a wooden nail brush- and some curtains and cushions. At the back downstairs is a cafe with furniture from the past - and yes it is mismatched and all the better for that - where you can sit an order cake and tea or coffee or tea. Lunch is also available which is something I will return at a later date to explore. There was even an Elizabethan Gluten free cake - which is great to find - to go with the coffee.Well worth a visit and it would be interesting to visit the bar at a later date.If you have visitors this would be a good place to visit.

If you park at Budgens pop into the Bullock Fair charity shop also, then cross over to the book section. In Cornucopia there are independent sellers so there are a lot of individual stalls to suit all price ranges. It is very well set out. The cafe serves the usual lunchtime fayre, nothing special, but the staff are nice, if a little flustered, but the surroundings are comfy and relaxing. Put this village and Cornucopia on your things to see list if you are holidaying this way. The scone was supposed to be cheese and caramelised onion, it tasted sweet like a fruit scone and I have no idea where the cheese was! The coffee was bitter like it had been brewing for a while. All in all not an enjoyable experience and I won't be returning

The tearooms at the Harleston Cornucopia Exchange are really lovely, with old-fashioned favourites on the menu from light lunches to traditional tea-time treats, wonderful service and a welcoming, homely atmosphere. The Exchange has been transformed by the new owners into an Aladin's cave of antiques and vintage collectables, so you can browse round the 30-plus stalls and shops in comfort, and either start or end your visit with a tasty little something from the tearooms - Glen's scones are to die for, and the sandwiches are simply yummy.Do please make a point of going to see for yourself - I promise you will not be disappointed!

A wonderful eclectic collection of vintage and retro shops and stalls, mixed in with some delightful gifts for sale. And to top it all the Parlour Tea Rooms offers real home cooked food produced by Glen. An absolute delight eating food just like your gran used to cook, from crockery like she used to use, in surroundings like her home. And there's the 50s style bar too! A true place for nostalgia!

A new life for this Waveney Valley market towns historic Corn Exchange. 'Cornucopia' is a Victorian shopping arcade and tea shop recreated, and done beautifully. Well worth a visit if you are having a day out, or are visiting from the coast. Even the music is played on an old Dansette record player!

Visited this delightful place today.... it is fantastic to see what has been done with the building after it was left empty for several years. It has a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed with some interesting bits and pieces on sale in the various little shops. The tea-room is very quaint too with lovely vintage china - gorgeous cakes on sale and delicious coffee! I love the little "snug" style bar which isn't quite finished but it will add to the charm of the building. I can't wait to visit again.

Browse the old fashion street scene (a feel of the Charles Dickens theme with authentic stain glass windows, impressive lighting and of course fountain!) of vintage goodies ranging from bric-a-brac, clothing, furniture etc. The Parlour Tea Rooms certainly on par with their sister business Loddon Vintage Tea Rooms all served on traditional china (just like granny used to use on our Sunday visits when we were small). Mmm the cakes (yummy) a hard decision as to what flavour to have, result we all had a different flavour and shared.....an enjoyable experience

Thanks must go to two very enterprising young men, David and Glen, who have given life back to a very historically important building in Harleston, The Corn Exchange. Apart from the tastefully decorated and furnished Tea Rooms, which was packed when I visited it with people enjoying tea and cakes in delightful fine bone china crockery, there is a wealth of other artifacts to browse round too; set out as a street with shops from different eras of the last century which will eventually house more things to buy when all units are let. Go on a Wednesday so you can look round the market and museum as well in this dear little market town. I am yet to visit the Loddon Mill Vintage Tea Rooms which are also owned and run by David and Charles but if Cornucopia is anything to go by I know I won't be disappointed!

The food the staff.. Everything perfect.. A special thanks to Willow the waitress.. I'm 72 and never seen anyone as fast working. Efficient and service with a smile. We were amazed.. Not saying this because we might know her which is not the case.. It's because we stay in Wyndham once a week from great Yarmouth and always praise people and establishments when they deserve it.. Thank you ALL at the White Heart.. Will definitely be back regularly and recommend 100 %.

It's a lovely little pub in the middle of the village and at the end of Rockland broad where there are around 8 free morning's, it's great for a overnight stay, so back to the pub great people who make you feel welcome and a nice little area for outside seating on those summer evenings, so yes I'll be going back
