The chef serving the meat wasn't very friendly or happy. Rest of the staff very friendly and helpful.

Good hot carvery food, very popular place, advise would be to book a table

My sister and I chose to enjoy a traditional English buffet breakfast for a very reasonable £7.50. It tasted much better than I had anticipated! We were greeted at the door by the delightful Naomi and her colleague Demi, who took our orders. Both were extremely polite and accommodating, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Finding a parking space has never been an issue, as there is a spacious car park available.

Absolutely love going to the village inn. Always greeted by happy staff. All friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious. Would definitely recommend

Carvery was poor the turkey wasn't cooked properly

We often come here and love it. Lee is a very sweet employee. He's friendly and chatty. Seems genuinely interested in the customers. It's nice. Martin is so lovely. Professional and kind. He couldn't do enough for me recently. Best Stonehouse I've been to. The food is always delicious as well and so nice to have thick gravy. I'm Northern and we take our gravy seriously. Nothing worse than having brown water with a roast. And lastly my son can't have dairy, even when it's crazy busy they're happy to make some cauliflower without cheese for him. So kind. Thank you.

A local restaurant in Little Melton, foods quality are quite good, they offer discounts on different foods throughout the week. The environment and atmosphere of the restaurant is good.

Food was average but service was good, lee was friendly and helpful.

Around 35 (Triumph) Stag Owners Club members meet here monthly. Due to the excellent value food, most of us eat too. Since Tuesdays are 50% off pizzas, my favourite 'Meat feast' is fabulous value at only £6.50. This week, as usual Pizza Chef, Simon made a lovely fresh pizza for me & the serving team were their normal friendly, helpful selves. We do feel sorry for the serving team though since they always seem rushed since understaffed ... but their customer service standards remain high. Overall, a great place to meet, eat & drink.

Good value breakfast and friendly staff.

On arrival, the lady at the bar serving drinks was helpful and friendly. Carvery chef served us meat, and afterwards, he told us that a couple of items would be another ten minutes, so it was a choice to eat a half cold dinner or go without some items. Some of the vegetables and stuffing looked dry and like they had been sitting for ages. Nice meat, nice roast potatoes and onion gravy, the rest was not great. Going by other reviews, it seems that we have just hit a bad day, so will give it another go.

Was an absolute lovely dinner. Great value for money and everything was fresh and hot. Manager Darren was absolutely wonderful. So friendly and attentive and was very helpful and helped me sort out the dinner. 10/10

Although a cheap venue the carvery looked second hand and no stuffing available.. Really came across as food for the masses, but as I say very reasonable.

Two of us had Breakfast here on 5 March. Both unwell today…… So many bad reviews about this place.

Tonight I tried one of their burgers for a change from the carvery. Very, very impressed. Could not fault it.

We have tried many carvery’s in lots of locations My Daughter told us about this one so we booked it,the carvery was well presented and looked and tasted fresh,the chef was polite and a good carver you couldn’t see through the meat like some carvery’s,in fact all the staff we polite and helpful,plenty of car parking Have just booked again for next weekend Sunday lunch Martin

Came for breakfast booking a table at 11am on Sunday. No one greeted us and we were stood waiting for 5 mins before asking then to be told to sit where you want. Not the greatest of selection of food available when we went up and I know the couple behind us had an even less of a selection and I think they made a point What we did manage to get was cooked well - though the eggs could have done with an extra minute. Went to the Gents by the main entrance - no toilet roll - at 1130am!! Place devoid of an atmosphere Wont be returning anytime soon.

A bit disappointing this time there. And we were so looking forward to it. Especially as we raved on about it to friends about the previous visit.. ok it was an 8 pm sit down, but my wife's order was wrong and when we asked to order deserts we were told they were done with service for the evening. I know it was quiet but that shouldn't matter for people willing to pay for food and drink. Sorry guys

After experiencing problems with customer service and food being served last year, I left an online review. I thought i would give the village inn another try tonight after not coming in for a while. After being in the restaurant for 10minutes and sitting down at the table with young children, I was approached by 2 members of management telling me I'm barred, Darren has gave them this information, this is all because I left a complaint online. I'm not the only one, I've noticed from reviews this has happened to a previous customer also. Absolutely disgusting customer service, can't complain or you get barred. Don't bother writing one of your stupid comments under this either.

We visited here today, Myself & 3 friends. We enjoyed a wonderful meal & drinks. The atmosphere was great even though it was very busy. The staff were all very helpful, friendly & gave great service. A special thank you to Darren behind the bar who went above & beyond for us, he has a wonderful personality & great humour too!. Thank you all so much & especially for getting my Dear friend Linda a big one (latte) 😁 We thoroughly enjoyed our time there & we will return soon. Please do go to this brilliant place.

We had a fabulous bottomless pizza, cocktails & Prosecco here for £30 and honestly the food was fantastic, staff were amazing. We were served by Ellie, Chelsea & Lee, as well as the chefs. Fully recommend. Also dog friendly in the bar area which we didn’t realise & they said we could book with special request to the bar so we can have the dog with us! Good to know!

The evening was very busy, the staff coped very well with the demand. Sadly the WiFi is not great to order from the table, had to order from the bar. Service was good and the food was lovely

Had a lovely family meal here, food was lovely and came quick and we was served by a lovely waitress called Lohan. Very friendly and polite! Great place and service!

The waitresses name was Lohan who served us this evening. It was an amazing service and she made sure our food came quickly and overall was a lovely and friendly young lady. 10/10

Was completely surprised by how cheap everything was despite quality. We came in for carvery’s and left satisfied. We both had gammon which was lovely and the veg was great too. Demi brought our desserts over and they were just as nice as the food. Stuffed! Absolutely recommend!

Loved this evening. The meal was lovely and so was Demi, our server. She was friendly and very helpful and quick to clear the tables. We enjoyed a brief chat. She was lovely. The village inn is in a lovely position and was very clean. We had a nice table near the doors as we had our little dog with us. We were made to feel very welcome. We were very full when we left. A lovely place, plenty if food and very competitively priced. We will come again for sure Thankyou

I went tonight to the pub for dinner with a few friends. Demi was great. super attentive and sorted us more drinks without even having to leave the table. Food was great, service was great

The only negative was the kids 'free deserts' have to be added rather than included. But not a deal breaker.

Easily one of the best pubs in the area! The drinks are reasonably priced, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. Demi highly recommended we try the Full works Carvery!

What can I say? Absolutely awful place unless you expect poor quality cheap food and diabolical service! Booked a table for 2pm as mum had been in hospital and housebound, so wanted somewhere close but 'nice' to have lunch. After nurse visit we popped along asking for a low foot traffic area so she wasn't bashed about. Put next to walkway with loud group of women. I collected our drinks and placed a table order service. After 30 mins, yes, that's right, still no food. So I had to hunt for staff as bar tender blanked me. Found someone eventually. He saw mum distressed so we were moved to the quiet area , which was much appreciated. However, out of sight, out of mind attitude meant still no food 20 more minutes later! Again, I had to hunt for staff, as the only person we saw was the cook, eating his lunch near us! Finally, we were approached by TWO members offering a free drink! They'd 'lost' our order! Mum was so hungry and sore, so decided to stay as she didn't fancy looking for another place at 3pm to eat! We eventually got our food at 3.15, just as the local school closed, so we're faced with those using the Inn as a shortcut staring at us through the windows. It's undeniably the WORST experience ever, and I've eaten in restaurants around the world! AVIOD if you have any standards, as they don't!

Had a lovely breakfast with friends & family. The waitress Lynn came to check everything was OK & to clear some of the plates as we had 2 small children with us who had made a bit of a mess. She was very friendly & made us feel really welcome despite the mess!! Well done Lynn, we will be back

Good service and food alot more than I expected the pizza had alot of peperoni and was a good size the xxx cookie sundea was alot and would recommend for 2 people, the staff was good and joked with us

Friends and I often meet here for Sunday morning breakfast. The food is always fresh and our hostess Lynn is so welcoming and friendly! Great value for money too.

I saw a dog had messed on the floor in the main bar. The owner of the dog cleaned up the mess and handed it to the bar maid over the bar. He collected more and did the same thing. What a disgusting place !!!!

I went out for a meal with my family this week, we were served by Demi at the bar, who also ended up bringing out our food out as well. I had the bacon & cheese and everyone else had carvery’s, and they said theirs was top notch, great meat and veg. Felt too full for dessert, but fab mains. We will be back

Had pizza, which was very good, and beer for which there is a big choice. Friendly and helpful staff.

Went out for dinner with the girls tonight. I had a carvery and they shared pizzas. roast potatoes were gorgeous, so crispy and fresh. Pizzas looked delicious will definitely be trying one next time. Staff were friendly and welcoming. my carver keel was chatty as he always is. Overall lovely night out 5 stars from me.

Great little place, always has been but even better since its been done up. My little boy decided he wanted pizza with his family on his 5th birthday, luckily his birthday fell on a Tuesday so we took up the brilliant offer of 50% off pizzas on a Tuesday... the staff were very helpful and attentive all the way through. We have been here for breakfast many times but only been for dinner once before... we were all thoroughly impressed with the staff, service and the pizzas 👌 Thank you! We'll be back.

Amazing food and lyn was incredible

Went for breakfast. Apparently care workers (Bluelight card) don't get a discount on a weekend. Maybe they shouldn't be out eating and should in fact be working extra hours 🤷 After paying we took our plates and joined the que. We waited along with the other sheep for a good 10 minutes before staff realised that there wasn't actually much of anything left. One poor guy at the front of the que had actually been waiting longer with his plate half loaded with the food that was actually available. The toast production line machine either burnt the toast or under toasted the bread. And to top it off the coffee jug was empty twice!! Utter shambles with staff not having a clue how to let the kitchen know that the que was long for a reason although a well run kitchen would probably send someone out to check more than once during a sitting! The food was passable apart from the eggs that were drowning in oil! No doubt the excuse will be people arriving for breakfast which caught them out. Will we go back? Who knows.

Just finished a Calzone Pizza and a Carvery, and enjoyed our meals. Layla served us with a friendly smile; nothing was a problem, including my request for some BBQ sauce, because as she said, everything tastes better with some BBQ sauce.

Lovely carvey there's been times where I gone there 3 times a week haha not expensive tasty and spacious decent menu size aswell but I always go for the carvey. Nice location out of the city also

Tuesday and Wednesday both worth checking out. Can't beat half price pizzas. Or 8 quid gourmet burgers. The deserts are huge too.

The best carvery in England without a doubt. Have travelled far and wide sampling just to see if anywhere could even come close to the levels of this place, and have still never found one. Monster plates, self pick on everything but the meat, allowing for amazing portions 🔥love this place for what it is; a great place to eat a carvery!

Typical "Charlie Chalk", inexpensive and filling food, don't expect haute cuisine. Looked very dated inside, but welcoming and friendly service. In fact, since I last wrote the above the furniture and furnishings are looking really worn and as for the carpet, bordering on " sticky" 😒 Same friendly and welcoming service from the staff 🙂

Very accommodating for a large table of people, great service and good food! We unfortunately had to cancel our table over Christmas due to illness, and they were very understanding.

Myself and family came for Christmas day dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Upon arrival the customer service was excellent, the host showed us to our table and the table was beautifully set and all of the staff helped us feel welcome. Once we settled the waitress came and took our drinks order and she was lovely and polite. The starters came out once we said we was ready for them and the food was delicious and nice and hot. Quick and efficient service made our Christmas Day so perfect and allowed us to sit back and relax. The carvery was amazing as always, fresh and just the perfect Christmas dinner. The staff were always checking everything was okay and making sure we had enough drinks, the puddings were also incredible. The whole time we were there it was great service, great food and all around a really lovely Christmas atmosphere. Everyone did an amazing job. So thankyou very much

Great night out, Turkey was a bit dry but was virtually the end of the joint.

Had a lovely meal. Staff very helpful especially Lee who took great care to understand my grandsons allergies and get him safe food whilst being totally respectful. This is one of the few places we feel safe taking him because they take so much care.
