It's a lovely little pub in the middle of the village and at the end of Rockland broad where there are around 8 free morning's, it's great for a overnight stay, so back to the pub great people who make you feel welcome and a nice little area for outside seating on those summer evenings, so yes I'll be going back

We visited this evening for a meal with our toddler. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We both had different burgers. They were filling so we had no room for dessert but wished we did. They had a high chair for our toddler and welcomed us all.

Called in on our boat for the 1st visit to this pub. Scampi - very crunchy, little filling. Fish n chips - my Dad said the best he can remember at a pub. Pulled pork burger - just as expected and didn’t disappoint. Dad is 86 so wanted a small portion. Bar staff arranged a child’s size portion which was perfect for him and he was grateful for the flexibility. Very hospitable staff. Music playing started with Dolly Parton and ended with Nirvava. Perhaps a differing appetite was feeding the jukebox? Furnishings basic and not particularly homely in terms of seating, tables, decor but a pleasant place and friendly staff. I’d go back.

I have had two meals here and I must say I have not been disappointed. The fish and chips were lovely, thin crispy golden batter fish, light and fluffy chips and peas with a good dollop of tartare sauce. The Sunday roast is what I call a “good honest roast” no frills just home cooked. Not this fancy stack up veg and a spoonful of gravy. As for price both are value for money.

We visited The New Inn Rockland St Mary on 7th July for a bithday evening meal. We've been visiting during our summer holidays for a number of years. It was a warm evening and the outside area was packed. We sat inside which was airy and comfortable. The food was delicious, the service was second to none as always and their prices are very reasonable. The Inn is a village focal point for residents, boaters and holiday makers and is highly recommended. We were sorry to hear that the current landlord/landlady are retiring later this year after nine years. We wish them well for the future and thank them for making our holidays a nostalgic visit every year.

Lovely local pub in a gorgeous village. Would highly recommend The New Inn for a pint or two, or drop by for a alcohol free drink as it’s one of the few pubs in the area I found serving them - as the designated driver this was much appreciated! The staff were top notch, and the food was lovely too!

Both were absolutely beautiful the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Service was very good and everyone so pleasant - happy to chat too. Look this one out if you are on the broads it is definitely a lovely place to eat .

Great locals pub . We enjoyed the excellent live singer on a lovely sunny afternoon from the staithe basin. We were unable to eat their food as the kitchen last orders on a Sunday was 1745. However we could buy drinks & order an excellent curry takeaway from the Raj at Loddon and eat them there. Brilliant arrangement!

Superb service with friendly welcoming barman. Meal though was disappointingly bog average. The southern fried chicken was like a bullet on the outside, the crispy coating was armoured. The chicken inside though was amazingly juicy and tender and the spices were flavorful. The battered fish looked like part of it had lost a battle against a blow torch Burger was tasty but with a light coating of burn. Shouldn't have been issues with food as we were the only ones eating so kitchen wasn't rushed. Given great staff, timely arrival of food and good ale (latte tasted like it used UHT milk though) and fair pricing we'd give it another go at a later date and hope the food is better.

I've had the Wednesday fish and chips takeaway from The New Inn here at Rockland St Mary 2 week's running and I think that it is fantastic! I pre-order, and collect at the agreed time, and its perfectly cooked in homemade beer batter and comes with a choice of chips or fries, garden or mushy peas, and tartare sauce. Gluten free batter is also available. It's a warm and wonderful environment to collect from, and you can keep dry even if it's raining! Wednesday fish and chips takeaway or eat in is every Wednesday 6pm - 9pm. It's delicious, and now the Wed fish van has retired I can still get my fish fix.

Brilliant pub - quality food and decent place to moor and watch the daily happenings of the river. I spent pretty much most of the day here, casually drinking by the river side enjoying the sunshine and talking to many other holiday goers that decided to pay the mooring fee for a spot to moore in Horning. Please note - I would advise phoning ahead and reserving a mooring which will cost you a full £16 for overnight. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I thought the support with mooring was also worthy of note. There was plenty of seating outside, with spaces in sunlight, under shelter or even by rivers edge. There is notably a wasp problem in Horning - it was nice though that this pub were taking measures to limit the impact on customers which I found reassuring. All in all - if you are stopping (either for food or overnight) I would highly recommend this pub. Also the chocolate fudge cake was delicious.

The food the staff.. Everything perfect.. A special thanks to Willow the waitress.. I'm 72 and never seen anyone as fast working. Efficient and service with a smile. We were amazed.. Not saying this because we might know her which is not the case.. It's because we stay in Wyndham once a week from great Yarmouth and always praise people and establishments when they deserve it.. Thank you ALL at the White Heart.. Will definitely be back regularly and recommend 100 %.

Food was very nice… chef service was very poor😡 we stood in line at the Carvery along with about 6 others waiting for a chef to appear to carve for us… 2 chefs appeared from the kitchen.. walked through the carvery totally ignoring us… we waited for about 8-10 minutes before one of the chefs mentioned came about and served us… Apologies for the wait… well tbh it was downright rude… We won’t be back…
