We visited for coffee and cake as it had been recommended to us . We had barista coffee which was good and not too strong . Americano and a skinny cappuccino . My hubby had a warm sausage roll, pastry cooked well with flavour filled sausage meat. I had lemon drizzle cake which was a decent portion. It was moist and not too dense with plenty of flavour. Staff were friendly and they bring the order to your table. Seating inside and out. They do rolls and they do pizzas in the evening(havenāt tried these)

So I thought Iād try this place today as passed it so many times and today 08/03/24 thought Iād treat the family to it and it really wasnāt disappointing because they was so busy cooking everything fresh to order we waited around 20 mins didnāt mind this as we could sit in the little table area and catch up on everything while waiting for our food to be cooked the food arrived and was cooked fresh and was a good size portion off food that filled me up and Iām a big eater and itās very reasonably priced the staff was polite and friendly and all in all it was a lovely experience with the family I would definitely recommend this place to everyoneā¦ā¦ I think in my personal opinion what we loved was the little table area they had because we could sit as a family and catch up. With what we all been up to BUT itās to open to the cold and we was pretty cold I personally think and I would make this area enclosed to be able to keep some heat in for customers wanting to eat in this area. But still next time I could maybe put an extra layer on.

I have been coming here for years now. Friendly service, enjoy the food. I usually have the chicken kebab that comes with a good salad. Quick service, space to park your car. Takes a card. Good value.

Stopped here on the way back from a beach trip and had seen the sign while driving past so decided to turn around and get some food and glad I did as this is the best kebab I have ever had portion was very good. I had some left over which I ate the next day and still enjoyed it. Parking was a bit chaotic the time I got there and they were so busy took some time to get the food but it was worth it.

I've wanted to have a classic high tea for a long time and share the experience with my husband, who has a different cultural background than mine. After searching various places, I decided on Carridges. The quirkiness of having a high tea on a classic pulman train carridge looked exciting. As this outing was for my birthday, we went for the high tea and booked a private compartment in their Oliver carridge. It did not disappoint. Walking through the display gardens onto the station where the Carridges are set is lovely. We were greeted by warm, friendly staff, who checked your booking and confirmed issues around any dietary issues. We were shown to our compartment, which was lovely. A small bottle of bubbly to share and our choice of tea ordered, and our high tea arrived. The staff were very attentive about allergens, and there were no issues with what we had. There was a lovely selection of finger sandwiches, warm savouries, little desserts, and then followed by the scones. We swapped out the savoury scones for the sweet ones, and this was no issue. There was more than ample for two people, and we were offered boxes to take the remaining items home. My husband loved the tea and was furiously searching the Internet once home to find some. The one thing I would advise on is that if your sat nav is not up to date, it would be better to use Google maps on your phone. As the though the new roads can confuse. Once near, follow the actual signs for Banolds as you immediately turn left into the car park for carridges. I say this as Google Maps got confused at this point and was trying to take us into the driveway of a house. (Carridges was directly behind here).we also had the 3.15pm sitting, so bear in mind the tea time rush hour traffic when you are finished.

Booked a Sunday lunch for 2. Good service and the food was excellent. The only observation was that I could have done with a little more meat but that didnāt spoil the meal at all. Loads of vegetables and cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. All washed down with a splendid pint. Itās not the cheapest but itās not the most expensive and Iād say you get good value for the cost. Very much recommend a visit.

Steak was extremely good, staff were very friendly. Overall, a great meal and experience. Lager was nice, however there was a limited selection. Also, they had ran out of lobster which was disappointing, we will be back to try this in the future.
