Gourmet kebab in South Cambridgeshire

I called here on my drive home as I had a long way to travel, I only had my work bank card on me to pay for my meal. They don’t accept cards and I said it was fine I would leave it, although everything looked delicious! The owner just said I will give you a kebab for free, I said oh no thank you but I can’t do that. He insisted and gave me a free chicken kebab! It was delicious and so kind of him to do! I am so grateful to him because I had a very long drive ahead of me and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat! Thank you again! And I will come back prepared next time I am working this way.

Needed halal food at 11pm around the area and got it here. Super friendly staff and great food.

The food tasted good however made to wait over an hour for food , ( was not told it would be this long ) was their so long will now be getting a ticket having had to wait their for so long as only realised car park an hour max or fine after waiting over that time . 5* kebabs everytime. I used to go here for a monthly treat, everything tastes fresh and full of flavour. Best kebab in Cambridgeshire! Recently had a refit. Would recommend calling to pre-order as both them and the car park gets busy both lunch and dinner. Beware of the potholes in carpark. 1 hour max free parking, AMPR camera upon entry.

Did a detour on the way from Manchester to London. Well worth it. The portion and the taste of the food.. Truly astonishing. I’ll need to find an excuse to travel somewhere around here to visit again. A real hidden gem!

Stopped here on the way back from a beach trip and had seen the sign while driving past so decided to turn around and get some food and glad I did as this is the best kebab I have ever had portion was very good. I had some left over which I ate the next day and still enjoyed it. Parking was a bit chaotic the time I got there and they were so busy took some time to get the food but it was worth it.

I find the food very bland, not sure how they can call it “shish” when the meat is fried & not cooked over charcoal. I paid nearly £18 for a large wrap & chips which I thought was expensive, a good portion but just greasy and no flavour, very bland! Head into St Neots for a better experience

Best Turkish Kebab in UK.. Excellent taste

I've been there for the first time. Ordered gyros chicken kebab in a plate. The service was amazing, and I got my food in about just 7 minutes. Chicken was really delicious and juicy, bread was super soft, salads freshly made.👌🏻💯 It's worth every money spent in there! Even my kid got a gift from the owner. The atmosphere is cosy, clean, and well looked after.🤗 They accept only cash, but no worries, there is free ATM. Biggest thanks to the owner and all of the team!🫶🏼 Wish you all the best and expansion for the business. I will definitely come back and will recommend for all my friends to do so! 🫂🙏🏻

Went for a 2 meat kebab it was cash only and had to get cash out of the ATM and had rats running all over the car park went I got the food went back to the hotel to eat it and the kebab was not good the donor meat was good the chicken was dry and cold and the pitta was stale the staff was nice and friendly but £10 pound for stale and dry kebab I will not be going back

Fantastic kebabs, best to ring your order through as it's insanely busy on a Friday night. We had chicken, Donner and lamb shish. All were absolutely delicious.

We ordered 2 halloumi pittas with fries inside. The food was delicious and good size portions. It was busy on a Friday evening and we hadn't ordered ahead so did have to wait quite a while. However, it was worth the wait and it was a fun atmosphere to wait in, with loud traditional music playing. We were advised to order in advance next time. Most people we saw had done this and seemed to collect their food quickly. There is AMPR in the car park, so be careful not to overstay the time limit.

Well, I finally have the chance to review Gourmet Kebab at Caxton Gibet - and wow! It was worth the wait. As a man in my late 30s, it's safe to say that I've spent my fair share of Friday and/or Saturday nights living on kebabs throughout my early 20s but I'm also partial to a kebab on a sober evening too and have been to many different places for a kebab or two. Gourmet Kebab is easily the best kebab I've ever had, we opted for a sharing box with 4 meats; Lamb Kofte, Lamb Donner, Chicken Donner and Pasturma Sausage - everything was incredible, full of rich flavours, the perfect texture and the portion sizes for the price is fantastic. I've officially found my new home for a kebab dinner. 5* for food and service. Cannot recommend highly enough! Keep up the amazing work!

We drive past a lot so we decided to visit today! A great decision, the food was amazing and the salad was all fresh! The bread was soft with a perfect crisp. The portion size is generous. The atmosphere was lively and definitely a great vibe for this weather. Ozzy gave us a 10/10 service and made us feel extremely welcome!

Good food, nice staff, only 👎🏾 side is the pungent smelly stagnant water in the car park at close proximity to where the cooking is. They need to do something, they will loose customers and if I should stop there again and smell the water I won't buy anything.

Phoned through order they said it would be about half an hour it was ready when I got there.

Honestly the hype is real! My favourite kebab, so different and unique. The halloumi and grilled veggies are a good twist, the salad is crisp and fresh, perfect harmony for that delicious succulent meat selection.

Always great food, and good value too. I had the chicken gyros this time and I'm t was lush. Plenty of fresh veg and the olives are a nice touch too. I only wish this place was on my high street rather than on a busy main road.

We pop by today on our way home from our day out for my birthday and without realising that we should have phoned first to collect an order but thank you to the amazing chefs and customer service although we didn’t phone we were still good to order and we had to wait as it easier for them to work quicker if you phone and order as they get ever so busy the gent at the cashier informed us that we would quite possibly have a wait of 45-1hour as he is a lot of phone orders to do. But I will tell you now although it is just a warning he said I will try and get it done quickly for you and low and behold he was a man of his word he got both our orders cooked and ready with in about 25minutes bless them and I said you didn’t have to we would have been happy to wait as it was our error. But he and his colleagues bless them got our order out and ready and the food was amazing as always well done on your performances under pressure and still service with a smile and thank you for the birthday freebie they were a delight to eat the food it’s self goes above and beyond any other food company we order from x

The service was poor I walked up they all took a look a not one person said anything even the the was not a line. Food meat tasted ok but was cold buy the time I got to my location 5min down the road Also they should let you know that they are serving garlic yoghurt and not garlic sauce when you ask for it they are completely different. Overall bad experience, which is a shame as the place actually looks decent. I’ve passed it a few times and finally got a chance to stop and was highly disappointed.

Stopped here for food at work break, have been back loads since, food is probably the best ive had from a kebab, fresh aswell, and to go along with it the staff are very welcoming and helpful, introduced me to new food. Portions are very generous aswell, Im very impressed, I would 100% reccomend

Amazing service and food!!! Ozzie the owner and Farook are such welcoming and warm people. Had a great chat and laugh with Ozzie which made the experience a lot better than most places. The food is great, fresh and delicious, portions are huge! There’s another kebab place opposite but not as good as this one! We weren’t sure what to order so the owner recommended a mixed grill for 4. We were served fresh hot bread with various dips and then the mains, after we had some freshly chilled watermelon which was welcome with the heat! The dips are moreish as well as the beverages on offer as they’re French and I do miss Parisian produce! At the end of the meal we were surprised with the pricing it’s very good value for money! You’re sure to leave bursting at the seams with some left over to take home! It was so good that we’ve been there three times in one week to sample other items on the menu for lunch. They were consistent each time… If there’s anything else you want they’ll be sure to cater to your requirements and create something that isn’t on the menu, providing it’s not too busy. A new go to place to grab a quick lunch after a gym workout.

Avoid at all costs or you risk FOOD POISONING ☠ 7 of us visited yesterday for lunch and all of us have been extremely sick all evening and night. I am only hoping that none of the team got infected with salmonella. Avoid this place at any cost and it will be reported to the local authorities and food hygiene inspections will need to be completed. I don't think these people are going to pass. To the owners: refunding in full what we paid for that subsequently caused us to vomit would be a decent thing to do.

The food & the service is the best I’ve experienced from any take away service. Food is prepared fresh every time and they even answer my calls with my name now. Great people who make even better food!

I would say at one stage. This was the best kebab in the country however The last three times I have had it it’s just been getting worse and worse not flavour anymore. Seems to be cheaper ingredients. Maybe I would love to see these guys get back to the way it was as it was the best is such a shame this is gone down hill way it has. Guys, what are you playing at? Exceptional! What more can I say. This place truly lives up to its reputation. Food is on point, service is fantastic, and it's very busy. Ordered the doner meat and chips, great flavour to the doner and not salty like other places I've tried. Burger was really nice and the lachmacun was delightful. This place is busy especially on the weekends. As this was our first visit we learned how busy this place gets and you will have to wait a while for your food as everything is cooked fresh. I can't wait to go back with a few friends to try there 5kg platter. If you not been, then give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of the food.
