Great location - set in countryside. Nice, cosy atmosphere. Food was tasty and well presented.

My wife and I have visited this garden centre a few times over the past 3yrs ever since we moved a 10min walk away. Never been to the cafe until today. Sunshine out... a walk down and a quick lunch to test out the cafe.. the coffee and quality of food. People tend to review things when they have a great experience or a below expectation one. This experience was way below what we would expect from the nearest cafe to Fairfield Park and the surrounding area. Expecially if you want to be able to recommend it or take family and friends visiting. My wife and I sat outside, had our order taken and proceeded to wait.. firstly to get a cappuccino instead of an Americano, then a coke without ice on a very hot day then the water we ordered never came....and then waited almost an hour before being served our food. So not the quick bite out for lunch. I will allow the time delay on a busy sunny Sunday.. as long as the food makes up for it. It didn't. A greasy cheese and ham toasted wrap, a few plain crisps and a few salad levels for £8.50 was extremely disappointing. No tomatoes...no cucumber! It either needs to tick the value for money box or be worthy of paying that much for. £23 for a coffee, a warm coke and two wraps is poor, should have stayed home and done it myself. I'm writing this review as a local and because I know this is a family run business so it's important you are aware of this experience. As a customer why should I come back? Lastly, there were a number of younger staff helping out, but kept walking past dirty plates on our table. Lots of work to be done before I come back I'm afraid.

Excellent as usual, except for the lobster which was rather tough. It was either frozen rather than a fresh one, or it was overcooked. Everything else was great.

I don't have too many issues with the food served here, but the value for money seemed amiss compared to the quality. If you're staying at the hotel this isn't a bad place for dinnder.

If only I could give 10 stars, I would! We celebrated my future father-in-law's 80th birthday with about 20 people. Catherine served us, and she went above and beyond to help us. At the last minute, I told her we had someone with a gluten allergy, and she went into the kitchen and provided sandwiches and a cake that were absolutely delicious. The food was great, and we had a nice buffet with a lot of choices. I would definitely recommend them! THANK YOU AGAIN, CATHERINE! 💓

Fab lunch. There was an amazing deal for just over£11 we had a cheese and coleslaw baguette, chips and salad and blackberry and apple crumble with custard. It was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again.

Took my Nan here for lunch. Friendly helpful staff. Food and drinks we're very nice.

Best place in the local area for good food at a reasonable price in friendly pub. Always good food and service.

Awful place got there and no welcome. Was over run with kids just racing around and screaming. Parents just seating there. Place was dirty. Carvery needed better roast potatoes. And 2 other members of the party had to wait over an hour for thier meal. While kids screams run around crashing Into us. Nothing was said or done about it. Waited ages to be served.

This saddens me to send this but I am so upset with the quality of the Chinese food you have served to me today Monday 20th May. Sadly this is not the first time I have had a VERY sub standard meal from you recently.The food was always delicious full of flavour but time after time it’s now it looks awful & it’s flavourless bland ! & Expensive & just not worth it. 😡 I will no longer be buying a take away from yourselves as Lee Hings in Bedwell is far superior in all areas of value flavour & how it looks

Paying performers would be a nice idea instead of misleading and then ghosting them. They did the work. Pay them. Simple.

We went here for my husbands 60th birthday meal. The service was great and the food was amazing. All staff were friendly and attentive. Kerry-Anne was excellent. Well done to everyone we will be returning.
