Took my Nan here for lunch. Friendly helpful staff. Food and drinks we're very nice.

Nice garden with a little space for kids. And a tasty Sunday roast.

Like this pub. Do not mind coming here on my own as it is not a blokey pub.

Just a quick lunch for 3 of us. All day breakfast, chilli con carne with a jacket and a baguette. All delicious meals, reasonable value in a pleasant country location.

Went here for lunch recently with a couple of friends and was pleasantly surprised, food was really tasty and reasonably priced. The music wasn't too loud so we could sit there and have a good catch up each other. Would definitely go there again and would definitely recommend.

I recommend this place 100%, the service, the food are delicious and the prices are really very low, I will definitely come back to this wonderful place

New landlord both are very friendly and chirpy and the food was excellent and the dessert was very nice. Also just one little problem. The plate was cold otherwise fantastic I will definitely come back again and again Mr Parr

I eat here very regularly. If you want no nonsense traditional simple pub grub then this is the place. A nice selection of food and drink served by friendly staff. Nice garden and comfortable setting to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend 🙂

A Lovely cosy atmosphere.. The food is great value for the money. Looking forward to going there again very soon.. They are making every effort to keep going in the present climate. Everyone should support their local businesses or they could be gone forever.

If you like straight forward unpretentious food at sensible prices then this pub is worth a visit. Whenever our in-laws visit they always ask to come to this pub. Staff are friendly as well. Slightly limited choice of beers.

Not what we expected. Dreadful lighting and very old fashioned. Food was mediocre. Lovely lady behind the bar. Wouldn't go back to be fair. Thought it was going to be a lovely oldy world pub.

Had roast lamb and beef and you can taste how fresh the meat is and so flavoursome! And the roast potatoes are the best I've ever had! Would highly recommend and will be coming back! The staff are really friendly too.

Visited Saturday 10th July for an anniversary meal . First time visit, very happy with food , hot , very well cooked and very tasty . Service was excellent and very polite . First pint of Doom Bar tasted a little vinegary, but landlord explained it was the last of the old barrel and a new one was just on , and replaced it without question. Can't fault anything, and will definitely be back . Thank-you.

I recently ruptured my Achilles tendon, so got taxi to drop my daughter at Scout hut in Wymondley woods and then me on to The Green Man. Unbeknownst to me, the pub shuts at 2.30pm on a Saturday, yet the landlord, Michael, in a beyond call of duty kind act agreed to drop me down the road at the Fox so I wouldn't be left stranded. What a Gent. And the Doom Bar I did get in was delicious.

They do the best food and they are a great pub to go to with familys friends and kids. Even for small weddings

A lovely country pub serving proper pub food at a good value price. I had a delicious cheese salad which is so hard to find these days. The fish and chips looked great too. Basic good food , friendly service, covid rules adhered to. If was nearer, I'd eat there regularly. Puddings delicious too!

Visited Oct2019, mid-week. Superb little pub in a great village location. Good beers - at least two real ales on tap - with a modest menu, great value, superbly cooked. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Image is of a meal-deal burger & chips with (what's left of) a pint of Doom Bar.

I go to the Green Man every month with friends. We've been going there for years. The food is good and the staff are friendly and polite.

Always busy and you can see why, good size pub, good size beer garden and a great team behind the bar!

Cannot comment on the food as I didn't have any hence only 4 ⭐ A small group of us used it for a meeting. We felt welcome, probably because it was quite. We were helped to join a couple of tables together. Good selection of drinks no one felt left out.

I brought my dog, Buster here to celebrate his 10th birthday. I had phoned ahead and arranged with the helpful bar staff to arrange a bit of a surprise party for him. There was a nice water bowl laid out for him, an assortment of sausages and meaty snacks and a nice comfy blanket near the fire place. I even managed to keep the surprise from him for the two weeks leading up to the event and all the times I'd struggled to hold back telling him were more than worth it when he walked in and saw what was laid on to celebrate him reaching a decade! It was after he had swallowed down the last sausage that he glazed over, keeled over and then life left him. I later found out that it was a heart attack that took my buster away from me. He lived a good life, full of excitement and love. He was a good dog. The staff were very kind after that. Two of them carried Buster out to the car and laid him in the boot, while another ensured I was alright to drive and handed me a packet of tissues. Would recommend.

Booked for 15 guests for my wife’s 40th. Gave us our private area. Fantastic country pub with genuine sincerity and exceptional service . Great menu choice with 4 options for a Sunday roast ! Frank and his team were amazing . Thank you and we will return !

Good customer service. I like real ale. Bought a pint of Broadside. It was vinegar. Took it back, was offered a taste of the Doom Bar. About the same. Unfortunately this was one of those places where no one behind the bar drank beer, so no one was prepared to taste what they had just sold me. This is wrong, if you are not prepared to taste what you sell, then you shouldn't be allowed to sell it. How do you know if the beer you are selling is any good if you're not prepared to drink it? Some people will put up with off beer, so the staff are none the wiser if the beer they are selling is not good. I got a refund and left.

Hired bar for my wifes60th birthday party. Land lady very accomodating, freindly helpful staff. Buffet very good and plentiful. In all a great evening

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, great welcome and you can have a good giggle with the locals! Much nicer than the hotel I was staying at and the food was excellent value with a good choice. You can get a steak done properly too, which is rare (excuse the pun). Would recommend it.

Very warm and friendly pub. Menu is varied and very "pubish". On the heavy side. Excellent living beers and Frank serving them makes life more bearable after long flight, airports and driving. Take IPA. Mixed grill is huge, cant even imagine what the bigger version, mammouth, would be. Will visit again.
