If I didn't have any money, I'd sell a kidney to get some lemon drizzle cake. It was so good, I often dream about it.

Went on Saturday and brought some lovely cakes. The queue was a little long however customer service was great and young girl behind the counter did an amazing. Will come again!

Great service great food as always

Usually when I have bought prawn rolls in the past from here they are filled up with plenty of prawns and salad. This time very stingy with putting any amount of prawns or salad and asked her a few times to add more which is very embarrassing and the roll wasn't cheap for what was in it. Very dry roll awful.

Bought a sausage bap to be charged £5.10, in Knebworth. When asked to clarify why this was so expensive the girl behind the counter said “yeah, you asked for a 4 piece bap so you’ve got a 4 piece bap”. We actually asked for a sausage bap and were not at any point asked how many sausages we wanted. The price of this ‘4 piece bap’ is not displayed anywhere in the store - when asked, the other girl pointed to the display and explained the 3 and 4 piece bap prices are not displayed and couldn’t at all explain why. This is ridiculous, not only have we been quite obviously taken advantage of by the art of up selling and being charged for the highest priced item, this price is not actually displayed anywhere. Assuming someone wants the most expensive option is simply rude and terrible customer service. We would’ve appreciated being asked how many pieces we wanted prior to being automatically charged the highest price possible, with no opportunity to choose. The irony being, the bap actually only had 3 sausages in in the end so we were overcharged anyway! Less of the teenage attitude also would’ve been greatly appreciated - won’t be returning.

Had a bacon sausage roll. Bit expensive. Nice friendly staff. Good choice of food and drinks. Very tasty. Set me up for the day.

We’ve been going to Simmons Knebworth for a decade. Lovely pastries, bread & mince pies. Their sandwiches used to be the best around but in the last year the sandwich fillings have gone from being nice and fat to far too thin. I recently went in and asked for a ham, lettuce & tomato sandwich. They put one slice of tomato on the sandwich and when I asked for another I was told that they couldn’t do that “because the salad is free”. My wife (whom it was for) complained that there wasn’t much ham. And it wasn’t cheap. Clearly the wonderful staff are under strict instructions to be stingy. Very disappointing.

Has been a while since I last visited. Service was good and the food was great. The pain au raisin muffin thing was soo good.

Always cheerful and helpful staff but sometimes quite busy with long queues. Never any Pain au Chocolat whenever I visit.

The best bunch of staff you could ask for at this branch. Can't do enough for you. Gorgeous cakes and pastries, yummy bacon rolls.

Our local high street bakers. Love to walk up there and get a nice coffee and breakfast. Lot of options to choose from. Weekends sorted!

Great choice! Very tasty sausage rolls!! Good coffee. Cash as well as card payments taken. Limited to 4 customers in store at a time as aisle is quite narrow. Limited roadside parking outside.

The 2 cafes in the high street are both closed, so Simmons was the only place left for brekkie. 3 bacon and egg rolls, (cold), 2 teas 1x diet coke and a brownie tray...... nearly £30,,,, ouch lesson learned, however best brownie ever. Just too expensive and not cooked fresh.

Although this is a lovely bakers with rolls and sandwiches made to order it is not cheap. Tend to only visit if I want something a bit more special. Dropped a star for the price

Great cakes and lovely homemade sandwiches and rolls if not slightly overpriced. My biggest bugbear is trying to park anywhere near here is an absolute nightmare at certain times. The shop isn't much better in size. Queues are usually out the door and by the time you get to the front of the queue there isn't any of what you want left and it is only still lunchtime!

The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to acquiesce your request..they have a variety of options and are conscious of people dietary needs. It's very busy and most popular sweets and bread are gone early. Unless you reserve your items beforehand which is nice to know. They also are local people so are familiar with their customers whom are regulars. I recommend them as one of the best bakeries around. Just hands off the "Swiss buns " 😉

Breakfast and lunch in one early morning stop. Live it. So tasty.

Simmons now seem to ignore their long standing customers when it comes to buying bread. They now prefer to make sandwiches. I have visited quite a few of their shops and have been kept waiting for a ridiculous amount of time to be served. To date the longest wait to be served was in the Knebworth shop. On my last visit I had to demand to be served.

An ever-reliable great bakery. It hasn’t got as much of a selection as Stevenage or Welwyn Garden City does, but it’s just as nice. The cakes are often too sweet, but the gingerbreads and biscuits are excellent. Hot food is quite cheap and excellent. Sandwiches are good, but not worth the high price.

Always superb quality. Fresh bread selection is the best in Hertfordshire. Famous crusty rolls, doughnuts and ginger bread man are a Hertfordshire staple. Sandwiches freshly made.
