The best restaurants in Huntingdon West Huntingdonshire East of England

Popped in here for our dinner one evening, it had been a long time since I was here but I have heard good recommendations about this chippy, so we thought have a try. Ordered our dinner to takeaway, which turned out to be very expensive and sat and waited and waited and waited. My wait was over 20mins which is excessive considering there were only a man and lady (partner) in front of me. I was annoyed that a lady came in 10mins after me, ordered 4x what I did yet her order was prepared before mine and who then left with her family dinner and then it appears that my dinner was cooked. Not great service from a chippy that has outstanding reviews. That said, the fish was delicious but dry and hard on the ends and the chips cooked to perfection. We will pay another visit just to see if the waiting time has improved and the hard and chewy part of the fish is better.

When entering the restaurant it was very clean and pretty inside with lovely colourful lights. The food was absolutely amazing, me and my friend had absolutely no complaints and we loved it, I 100/10 recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was so full of flavour and tasty, the meat was fresh and moist, potatoes were lovely and soft, it was the perfect amount of spice, the naan was yummy, everyone should go here if they want an amazing Indian dinner!

Food was great, overpriced, but good. The staff totally rude (especially the lady behind the bars ) when whe came in i asked her a few questions about the breakfast, and she answered very angrily “Let me Speak! Do you have any alergies?”

I have never had a kebab without salad, nor have I ever had shaved, not skewered chicken meat?? The meat arrived cold, slathered in mayo, not garlic sauce- and the stuffed crust pizza was a misnomer as the ‘crust’ was raw dough!! Binned….🤮

Met up as a group for Lunch and had a really excellent time. OK it's a Wetherspoons, but possible the nicest Wetherspoons that I've been in and it certainly knocks spots off of the 2 local to me, which are more what the name suggests. The quality, content and value were all really good and value for money, and in fact far better than other places had to offer.

In desperate need of a refurbishment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A credit to the lacklustre maintenance of the property and furniture - they deserve better. The inside is jaded and faded. Paintwork peeling, carpet rods missing screws.

Today I waited 10 minutes outside they opened 7:30 but they didn’t open

As the latest takeaway open in Huntingdon you should shout about it a bit.

Horrendous service Rude Over charged Food was awful couldn't eat it

What a fabulous lunch. The staff were delightful, I thought I had ordered side dishes for my friend, only to realise I’d just asked for a burger. Almost immediately, a small bowl of fries were bought to our table. The food was delicious. We will be back. Thank you.

Always have a great experience with the team at Hodson's. Fish is always freshly cooked by Bob and served up by his helpful staff. Both the quality and quantity of the food is excellent and I highly recommend you pay a visit when in Huntingdon, you won't be disappointed.

Simple food and drink cooked well and served with a smile. Don't be prissy, accept this establishment for what it is - a great traditional cafe, run by a passionate Italian who has had cafes for more than 40 years (so he tells me!) Great sandwiches and jacket spuds. Smooth coffee. Reasonable prices. What's not to like?

good varied menu ,helpful staff & management. wide range of drinks at the bar. This pup is now known as the COACH HOUSE !
