Sandford House in Huntingdonshire

Visited the Huntingdon Wetherspoon many times, unfortunately the last few visits being ones not to remember, senior management seem extremely hostile to anyone that raises a complaint or concern, or even dares to question anything , this hostility seems to be rubbing off on the lower management too, customer service is well below what you would expect from a company like Wetherspoon. If I go again I’ll just use the app to limit interaction with the obnoxious, rude pub management. On a plus, I’ve never had an issue with the food and floor staff seem attentive, the management could learn a thing or two from them.

Magic from magic and a huge thank you for Dan … a lovely evening .. nothing but compliments to all the staff .. after my leaving his phone on the table .. they had put it safely behind the bar until we came back to collect it ..

Was accompanied by a disabled friend who uses a mobility scooter, and crutches to walk. On entering we both went directly to the left side of the bar where the lager taps are. We were told to move, impolitely as we wouldn't get served there, ..no compassion or regard was displayed to my disabled friend, the tall male (manager?) male, was rude, obnoxious, arrogant, and showed no regard whatsoever towards disabled people. Avoid st all costs if disabled, or simply just because they obviously discriminate against disabilities without even knowing.

Terrible service from the team leader Dan . No customer service, consistently agitated and treats staff poorly . Ordered a beer on the app. He slammed it down and walked away in a strop . Only been here 3 times will never return because of him . He makes me feel uncomfortable. He needs to go

This is a beautiful building and the outside area has a separate no smoking section which was ideal for us. The service was SUPERB. We had one particular waiter who was excellent and did magic tricks to cheer up our grumpy toddler! He really went the extra mile and made a huge difference. All the staff were very friendly, polite and conscientious. We were impressed. The food was excellent and it’s incredible value for money. We recommend!

Stopped in probably the nicest Weatherspoon's I've ever been in. The food and drink were (for the money) excellent and the ambience and decor equally as good. All in all for a very cost effective enjoyable time I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit. It's a great pity that the 2 Weatherspoon's here on the Island are poor comparisons.

I really enjoy this place, it's good value for a burger and a beer (sometimes it's just what I fancy). The staff are efficient and friendly and the building is beautiful. Happy to recommend it for a bit of fun, not fine dining, but we've always enjoyed ourselves when we've called in.

Me and my daughter came here for meal place wasn't to busy ordered food and my daughters burger arrived as she went to put sauce on burger lifiting up the roll underneath was a dead fly totally gross I complained to the manager who didn't say much exchanged the food it was a horrible experience environment health will be informed

Pub is light and airy with large ground floor, upstairs seating with nooks and large outside patio. We stayed for 2 nights in the adjacent ‘Spoons hotel and had evening meals and breakfasts - everything was cooked fine. Plenty of drinks deals but it can be a faff trying to wade through all the different leaflets. In the main it’s easy to order table service via scanning the menu card QR code, although some items couldn’t be found. Staff really friendly and helpful plus good priced drink and food but slightly disappointed in the poor range of ales on offer when we visited.

Service not too slow. Nice people working there. Food decent. A MASSIVE improvement on the spoons In St Ives. Huntingdon is all the things the st. Ives one isn’t

Been going here every other week, top place in Huntingdonshire. Definitely top night out in this quiet little county!!

All the food was cold and greasy. The table was disgusting, obviously hadn’t been cleaned. They forgot butter on the jacket potato and so I had to go find someone to ask. She called the manager over!!! He explained to HER that they charged for butter (even though it is clearly on the menu- and in any case why would any restaurant serve jacket potatoes with no butter or topping?) Yes-the manager was extremely RUDE and refused to speak to me when I wanted to show him his own menu that said “lurpack” with the jacket. In the beer garden there were women screaming constantly. And yet staff just watched the entertainment. Yucky, sticky and loud.

We went to sandford house huntingdon this morning for a early breakfast, around 7 30 am , about four people in restaurant including us. Ordered a large breakfast and a normal breakfast, two hot drinks , coffee was luke warm , breakfasts came , horror both eggs on my plate like rubber yokes and the same on the normal breakfast . First time I have ever had rubber eggs in a weatherspoons, l use them regularly from cricklewood to Newcastle. Not as if they where busy , why can't they cook fresh eggs, more staff than customers. Went for a second coffee, a bit hotter, ask by member of staff, how's your breakfast, told her not good , eggs over cooked, and to my amazement only 2 and a bit hash browns, should be three. Told her l knew we should of gone to St ives Cambridgeshire branch. It's not as if you're busy and overcooked eggs are a no no at any time . Did l want fresh eggs, no thanks, should of been fresh ones the first time. Cooked before being ordered, again four people in , as for the hash browns, no excuse, photos taken, can see it's been cooked as a part one.

As we travel around the UK, we use Wetherspoons quite a lot, and without any doubt, this is the best one. Excellent service with a smile, So very clean, excellent hot food, good menu and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Often visit Weather spoons across the country as value for money etc, but was disappointed in the One at Huntingdon. Firstly I fancied a cocktail, there was nowhere where they were written was told to use the app. This is ok if you are competent with apps, but I feel that a written list would be better. A very nice lady explained them all and one was purchased. We then wanted steak with a sauce, which they had run out of but still had to pay full price which should have had the sauce included We got the meal which was cold so had it heated up. Then nearly wore my teeth out trying to chew the steak, which was full of gristle as was my partners. Staff were very understanding and gave us a dessert FOC. It all just spoilt the night and put us off Weather spoon staff were fine, but all the other problems weren't.

Very nice pub, friendly and helpful staff, affordable prices and good food with big portions. They have a kids menu but sadly aren't dog freindly

Great staff. They were very busy but still smiling. Good value for money. Quick service. Varied menu. Plenty of space to sit.

So so bad was served raw chicken I spoke to the manager she didn't want to know told me to go away basically and wouldn't even offer to change it what a waste of money will be speaking to council about this

Where do we start.... food is poor. Missing meat on mix grill then told we are lairs. So called manager over again and asked whats missing from the scampi tartare sauce was missing but he didn’t even know. Asked for full refund because it was poor service and attitude. And even then the attitude was like he really didn’t want to, but left all food after taking 2 bites. Only half a refund. Wouldn’t ever return to the Huntingdon site which was my first ever visit there and I’ve lived in the town all my life.

Brilliant bar with loads of nooks and crannies, booths etc. Exce!lent choice of drinks and amazing value. Our meal was lovely and tasty, hot and arrived quickly despite being quite busy. Looks newly refurbed? Very nice atmosphere also. Thank you!

Service was great! Food was really quick and came piping hot and we were checked on regularly. The facilities were extremely clean and well managed. It's Covid safe without going over board like some places we've been to do. It feels like a bit of normality again!

Spent 5 nights in Huntingdon & ate & drank here a few times over our stay & we were really looked after, one of the best Wetherspoons we have been to.

We enjoyed a fish supper their which is good late lunch of good services. The staff was very helpful and friendly being polite. The building was fantastic used be post office and church next door to each other is positive thing ever which they done good job on it. I will stay at the hotel soon when time is right to give it a try

We sat at table 66 very nice regular check ups and waiters were amazing food was great well worth the £12 tips that's for sure there a great team

So today was a bit of a mixed bag. I did not find the lady at the entrance checking everyone's masks were on and that everyone had filled out the forms particularly inviting or particularly polite. We had a multitude of problems while inside the first one being have finicky the happy and how unreliable it is and how when you press order the order doesn't go through or sort of goes through but then doesn't go through at all or when it does go through it goes through and gives you the wrong food either way when it all goes wrong the restaurant don't seem very interested in putting it right and absolutely will charge you are the difference between the lower priced order that the app put through and the order that you actually wanted even if it's just by £1 or so they won't just let you off they have to make a great big palaver over it because of the coronavirus and if it wasn't for us making a bit of a fuss we would probably have had to pay that £1.00 odd on the app not going up to the bar and doing it that way.Ths food was ok wasn't overly sure about the chicken burger that my partner had which looked a little bit... well it looked a bit poisonous and undercoat. Since when should you have have chicken that sort of flats around on your plate with pink bits in it I just cannot understand how they cooked it it was either super super XL poor quality or they just didn't cook it right I'm going with the later. It was like a squelchy thought of well that's what it was I just can't just tried it but it really wasn't very nice. On the menu it says that drinks come with your food but apparently if you order on the app you suddenly lose all of that and you have to pay for them separately as you do any dips and sauces looks like anything you doing there they will try and get as much money as I possibly can from you which I find quite disturbing. I could probably sit here and complaining all day but considering that we have been here on many occasions and it was a place that I could honestly say a really really good family restaurant with really high quality pub grub I can now honestly so handle heart combined with their poor food quality poor service and interesting covid policies will not be going back.Oh and I would like to add that if you're disabled I don't think limiting the entrance and exit is right even though covid restrictions say that that is how it should be because those that cannot walk that far should not have to walk around the whole building to get to their vehicle I think that's appalling it's a disgrace and on top of that that is a breach of both the human rights and the Equality Act for those who have a disability and the restaurant need to think about that because one day they are going to get sued for it. Sort it out whetherspoons Generally poor. Avoid

Food, not bad at all but order a short? Supposedly Haigh Clubman,don’t think so. Replaced but not much better. Optics?

Stay here every year for 2 weeks.I live in the states. Very clean and comfortable. Just wish people would pay attention to the signs not to slam doors!

We stayed over night at the Hotel, decided to have breakfast as it was close to the Hotel.Hubby's full English breakfast was good, I had scrambled egg on toast, you could not call it toast very lightly toasted so it was more like scrambled egg on mushy bread.Coffee was good and plentiful, quick service, clean tables.

Lovely hotel and good, predictable Wetherspoons lunch. As always excellent value in interesting surroundings

The hotel was basic but clean, the drinks were a very good price. So all seemed good until I ordered some food, i had a large mixed grill and I knew I would only be getting a basic meal due to the price and venue but I did not expect to get food poisoning from it.... I spent the next 24 hours on and around the toilet, I have honestly never felt so bad.

I stayed at the hotel here whilst visiting family in Huntingdon. Coming from Aberdeen, I booked this hotel based on the fact it was very well priced, and close to the train station.The hotel is very well presented, clean and tidy from the front door all the way to the rooms. My room was a double, and was very spacious and comfy. I was overly impressed by the service of the hotel staff, and the quality of the room too.I went to the bar for food and a couple drinks, and was very impressed by the quality of the bar, and choices of food and drink. The food and drink was very well priced, and the staff were good at mentioning drinks that were on promotion.The hotel and bar exceeded my expectations, given the price of each. Overly impressed, and will be staying here next time I'm in town.

Really can't go wrong with a Whetherspoons and this one is no exception.Quite nice food and probably most important of all, not badly priced :)Whats great about this place is that you don't have to talk to humans if you don't want to. Just use the app, order from your table and 30 seconds later food turns up! Whats not to love!! :)

We eat here regularly and never had a problem..today we decided to come in as a family . Food was out really quick however my food was only just warm , 2 out of 3 of our desserts were over done and tasted burnt.. the dessert was sorted quickly no problem..now my major complaint is a member of floor staff ( bringing food to customers) coughing without having her hand over her mouth and around the food.. I would expect behaviour like this from a small child still learning not a grown adult.. it’s absolutely disgusting. I do hope they improve things as it is a nice place to dine normally... today not so good

Sandford House is run by the Wetherspoons Group and comprises both a restaurant and a small hotel. Parking is extremely limited on site but available via pay and display close by.The food is standard Wetherspoon fare of decent cheap eats and drink and follows and trusted National menu.Sandford House is certainly one of the better appointed Wetherspoons establishments. It is busy but clean and invariably you can get a table on arrival.Staff are friendly, welcoming and pleasant and food service is prompt and food welll cooked.

Booked into this hotel thinking that at £39.00 it might be no better than ok, how wrong could I be, Sandford House is absolutely superb, brand new rooms, beautiful bathrooms, comfy beds, honestly, in the past I have paid £100 for accommodation that just does not compare.

Wetherspoons are going downhill. No longer have a Gluten Free menu, and cannot offer anything suitable for Coeliacs / those with Gluten Intolerance (luckily other venues are more forward looking).Also seem to focus too much on App orders, ignoring people stood at the bar waiting for service. Member of staff told me that they have a target for fulfilling app orders, but not for serving people waiting at the bar. Staff do not seem that knowledgeable about the drinks they sell (barman who eventually served me was clueless about the real ales, and Gins. I had to tell him where they were!). So, a pub with cheapish drinks, but there are far better pubs not far from here, with better atmosphere.

Never expected to give 5 stars to a Wetherspoons pub but deserved. Everything right. Roaring fire in the middle room, nice environment with individual cubicle, good prompt service from all staff. A large and very good Spicy meat feast pizza with a lot of topping ( far better than the pizza chains in Huntingdon), quality ham, egg and chips plus well kept Abbot Ale and soft drink for less than £15.

J D Weatherspoons sometimes get a bit of a bad press. They are mainly a cheap and cheerful chain. Sandford House in Huntingdon is possibly one of the best and probably my favourite, as I no longer go up to Whitehaven (The Bransty Arch), and as it’s local, has an interesting history and has very friendly staff (like Andy) we will go back again... and again!

Called in for a coffee this morning (Sunday), but it too long to be served (again), so I left before dehydration set in.

We stayed in the adjacent Wetherspoons hotel for 3 nights and had our breakfasts and evening meals in Sandford House. Hotel and pub good in all ways and staff in both premises were very attentive.

Really surprised to see a pub in a church!

I have to say, we were somewhat disappointed with Huntingdon. We were passing through and were looking for a late lunch and quite frankly couldn't find anything but uninspiring cafes. It was a hot day and we went inside one of the pubs for a much needed drink, but there was no food available. We started to talk to one of the other customers and he told us of Sandford House, which we had missed previously, as it was just on the edge of the town. We made our way to the area and found it. What a fantastic building, obviously a former church or chapel. We weren't too hungry and decided on a pizza between us. It was great and just 'hit the spot'. Obviously, Wetherspoons can vary tremendously, but I have to say, that this was one of the best and as usual, they always deliver cheap drinks and food.

Went to Sandford House today (06/07/2019) for a late lunch. The food quality was much better than on my previous visit (see earlier post in January). Another improvement was not having Tim Martin's Brexit literature everywhere*. My only criticism (directed at all Wetherspoons visited recently) is an apparent "shrinkflation" in the food; in particular, fewer chips and the loss of a salad garnish on some dishes (e.g. wraps).

Seat 118 is the best. Food and drinks such great value. £4.50 for a curry and pint, really can’t grumble. Double gin with mixer less than a £5.

I've been to this pub in Huntingdon several times now. Each time has been a pleasure. Just what you expect from a Wetherspoons pub, good food excellent beer and friendly service. I come to meet the family by train and it's a short stroll from the station and makes the ideal place to meet up. It's a very big pub so there's always space for us to sit together however busy they have been, and we spend an hour or so catching up and chatting. I lived near Huntingdon for a while and I wish this had been open then, it's a big improvement on what was available in those days,

What you would expect from a Weatherspoons. Not Michelin Star but does the job. Fairly modern, and reasonable service during non peak times.

We arranged to go for a meal here with our family for our daughters 19th Birthday last night 30/3 (6 in total) we sat at table 52 at 6pm. Firstly the table was not cleared and had to ask, one waiter rolled his eyes and only half cleared it. We ordered from the table on the app, the starter arrived promptly, but no drinks we asked about 3 separate waiters for our drinks, and eventually they came 30 minutes later! When the drinks arrived the waiter said and I quote "what is she having " whilst looking directly at my daughter, we said she is sharing the cocktail pitcher with her boyfriend, he then asked for ID which is expected, and was shown. We eventually got our food after a long wait, which was plonked on table by a shaved headed scruffy looking waiter who then also asked my daughter for ID even though he was serving the food, me and my husband said she has been ID'd by the waiter who brought the drinks so you can ask him. The arrogant cocky waiter then started! that any waiter can ask for ID at anytime (?!) So my husband/her dad who was very mad at this time said so we are going to get 20 waiters come to table to ask for our daughters ID. The extremely mouthy waiter then proceeded to say ok then I will remove the drinks and took them away from her! My daughter was almost in tears and her boyfriend went to try to find a manager after about 20 mins he came back and the waiter bought the drinks back and proceeded to say very sarcastically "enjoy!" , by this time our food was cold and my daughter upset. So what should of been a nice family meal was ruined by the horrendous service by arrogant, cocky, unprofessional waiters (the only nice one was a young waitress with red hair who was working extremely hard and lovely and polite). Please all think carefullly before going here and being treated so badly! Do not go there for a special occassion!

Visited sandford house this Sunday afternoon and even though it was extremely busy the service was great . Used the app to order all drinks and food and all the staff were very friendly and courteous . Service was fast and the atmosphere was very pleasant .

We visited Sandford House, the first time we have stayed at a Weatherspoon’s hotel. the rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was no on site parking but there was a lay-by road in which to drop bags and the railway station car park was close and reasonably priced for an overnight stay. The duvet and pillows were feather as default with non feather available. Unfortunately there were insufficient for us available and I think the default should be non feather. The room we had was shower only which we found quite weak like a rain shower. A trick was missed to include a hand held shower as well as the overhead one.

A really nice place, with a lot of charisma.

Random car ride to Huntingdon. Stopped at Wetherspoons for breakfast. 3 traditional and 1 vegetarian. All cooked nicely and plenty of refillable coffee.

Wow, so busy when we called in for lunch on Saturday - always a good sign. We had to split up and hunt for a table. The area away from the open bar space is is nicer to sit in - roomier & less hectic. Our food arrived promptly and, as expected from Wetherspoons, was really good and fantastic value for money. One complaint, there’s obviously a crowd of regulars that the bar staff know well two of whom were served before me when I had been waiting at the bar long before them. Overall though it’s a really nice pub with a good atmosphere.

Visited Sandford 3 times during our weekend in Huntingdon, first lunch on Saturday, halloumi wraps and corn on the cob ( yuck but Mrs C loves sweetcorn!), second coffee and chocolate after Remembrance parade and lastly good pizzas in the evening.

We had a lovely lunch, the service was quick and the staff were very helpful, we would definitely go there again, the only downside was the Toilets are upstairs and my Mother-in-law has Arthritis in her knee, we found a lift but when we got out there was 2 more flights of stairs.

Vengo qua ogni settimana, sia per le offerte dei drink che per mangiare, ogni giorno c’è una diversa offerta per il mangiare. Burger, steak, pesce, pizza! C’è di tutto e tutto costa davvero poco!

Popped in for breakfast with wife and daughter had 3 standard breakfasts good portion size, but had a strange taste and not very nice to eat although the toast was good!

Ate weekend lunch 2 times here while on business. One meal was BBQ ribs, and the other Chicken Tikka Masala. Great seating options. They have 2 quiet dining rooms off to the side, a big open bar-type area, and a nice outdoor garden. I used the 2 latter ones, and had quick pub-style service. They have menus for dietary restrictions. Both meals were very good and reasonably priced, and the menu had lots of other good options. Since I was staying at the Huntingdon Marriott, it was a 2-mile walk each way for dinner, but well worth it.

Great little pub and nice atmosphere. In terms of food it was one of the nicer wetherspoons I have eaten at - the food wasn’t overly greasy and they have some good options.

Popped in for a bite to eat last minute as it had been a long day. Just so happened to be Thursday evening and that is curry nite at Sandford House. We had no intention of going out for a curry but the smell was wonderful so we decided to give it a go. My partner opted for chicken tikka which he very much enjoyed he did say it was spicier than expected but still very tasty. I opted for the sweet potato chick pea and spinach curry which was fantastic. All in all very nice evening meal

Great selection of real ales, good food and good service, all at great prices. Nice atmosphere and good value. Decent selection of mains, but not many desserts.

A HOTEL WITH NO PARKING. Extremely poor access to food areas. Worst Weatherspoons I have ever been in

Popped in for a late lunch yesterday, not too busy, whilst eating meal, I had to pop to loo, gents was in poor state if cleanliness, would provide a photo, but would be considered offensive, on return my food and drink had been taken away, I spoke to waitress and response not very great so just left, what I did eat of food was hood and what I drank of my drink was OK, but only managed about 2/3 pint and food. If venue was busy I would have understood, but to have cleared away my order in about 1-2 minutes, and yet have a filthy loo with excrement over the floor that didn't look that "fresh" is not great

Came in late and had a burger just before the kitchen closed at 10pm. I have never tasted a burger so bad. The bread I suspect had been in the microwave. The fries was soggy and it was one leaf of lettuce. Very disappointin.

Was very disappointed with this place. Lovely from the outside and looks like you would have a good meal. The food we had was disgusting the chicken was obviously heated in a microwave as half was so dried out you could even cut it. We had 1 mushroom on our meal. We also ordered a mixed grill but was told sorry it's not available now after we had ordered at least 10 minutes. Tables not cleared. Bar staff more interested in chatting to each other than being aware of people waiting. Never return. Had better response and food in a simple cafe.

Attempted to make a reservation in the restaurant for severely disabled family member - request was refused. Duty Manager said she wouldn’t make a reservation as there would definitely be space. I asked how she could be sure and was told, “If there isn’t then he’ll be in the same position as everyone else and just won’t get a table.” GREAT work Wetherspoons! Nothing like going that extra mile to accommodate disabled visitors, whose lives are already hard enough. Needless to say we didn’t bother even attempting to have lunch there. The George Hotel is far more accommodating!

Came here with my folks recently for breakfast.

Having had a good meal on a previous visit, popped in for a quick early dinner . It seemed there had been an earlier power cut, one of the waiters told us how he was hoping it had put customers off and it would be a quiet evening. I went to all the effort of putting in an order via their app. , but then had problems with payment. Only when I went in search of a member of staff was I told that any orders would take at least an hour due to the earlier power cut. No apology, no effort to contact customers in the building. Disappointing. We left , still hungry. Really annoying when had already paid for car parking in town and walked there.

Took myself off for some quiet time today. Latte and a laptop ran into lunchtime. I ordered a chicken wrap and chips. Wrap was lovely, lots of chicken and chips were perfect. Staff were incredibly polite and competent

Great quick service, I would really recommended the garlic pizza!! They also offer free refill on coffee for only 1.50 will be coming back soon

Prices seem to be about 30% higher than when it opened last year. Red wine by the glass now down to one choice - Merlot- take it or leave it. And pretty tasteless stuff too. Had to reject it on my last two visits. Rapidly losing its charm for me.

Sandford House is a good all rounder. If you can't get in anywhere else, there's always spaces at Sandford. This is important key point as you often find most restaurants are fully booked over the weekend, and families need feeding...The food is quite good, excellent selection of beers on tap. Well worth a visit! In the summer you can sit outside.

Ordered two meals fish and chips and Tennessee burger.

This is a very modern establishment, clean tidy and airy. The staff are friendly and professional. An easy place to walk to, but will have to park in Sainsbury’s. A good selection on the menu for pub food and the prices are good. Will come again.

It was a great visit nice place very helpful staff I used the app but made a mistake with my food order which the tall gentlemen running the kitchen sorted out for me and was very helpful telling me what I had done on the app wrong It was an amazing visit.

I love the food and the service is quick/ Also very good toilet facilities as well. the best I have seen in Cambroedshire so far. Especially for disabled people and in wheelchairs.

It was Mother’s Day and my son’s birthday when we visited for lunch and we expected it to be very busy. It was, but we used the app to order and our food arrived very quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite the fact they were very busy. The food was lovely and we will certainly be visiting again soon. Such a beautiful building.

Ordered 2 steaks on the steak night with a drink included..they informed me that they had none available..as this was the only beer I drink I was not impressed..the management decided to allow me to upgrade to a cocktail bless them so made me happy and only had to pay a bit extra..recommend Wetherspoons for me and deffo visit again

Pop in saturday for a few drinks.lovely place.ladies toilets were massive .glamorous.went to bar a few times.served well twice.third time server was not pleasent .more intrested in the young girl waiting next to be served.i never got a thankyou or smile.very rude.beside him nice pub.

Use Wetherspoons frequently because it is family friendly, good value for money and has a good choice of beers. Went to Sandford House today (20/01/2018) about 2pm for a late lunch with my family. Three meals were fine but my Highland burger and bun were extensively burnt (well beyond my preference for "well done"). It looked like the chef had trained in a crematorium. Would have sent it back but the table next to ours had just returned their food and I didn't have the time for any additional delays. Hopefully the staffing issue will get resolved quickly. Haven't had any problems in the other 3 Wethies that I use.

We had a great visit to this pub, which was formed by two historic local buildings. It is clean, light and airy and covered in paintings to document the history of the town. The ladies toilets are fabulously grand with a wonderful view of the city from the panoramic windows. We enjoyed fresh pizzas - better than any local Italian restaurant could muster - and at exceptionally good price with drinks. We even had a cosy booth to enjoy it all. Well worth a visit.

This place is a beautiful building. It is welcoming and also clean for wetherpoons. My partner ordered eggs Benedict which he said was nice but lukewarm. I ordered the small breakfast. I was shocked when it was bought to me and quite frankly amazed looking at it anyone would think it is acceptable to serve to a customer. I complained to the manager who kindly ordered me a new one. I had to wait 25 minutes extra as the kitchen apparently had not been told I wanted a new one. I understand mistakes happen however knowing i had complained they should have been on top of it. The fresh breakfast was ok and hot. The thing that really ruined the experience was the blonde curly haired older lady waitress. She was heard moaning about customers to a colleague. At 12 o'clock she decided to collect the breakfast menus off the tables as it had finished. This is understandable however she was snatching it off everyones tables without saying a word. She went to ours and unfortunately she snatched ours sent my partners drink over and still just walked off. No sorry etc. Pretty shocked they employ this sort of member of staff. Given my experience I will never return and the waitress should go on some training and learn how to be polite! Disappointed.

We visited the weekend of the 2nd of December while visiting family in Brampton . We all chilled and enjoyed a few cocktails and the lads had some unusual named beers . We all ordered a main meal including pizzas , burgers and gammon . All our meals were great for the price paid and the atmosphere and building was great . Over all great value all round

Very interesting architecturally. A Weatherspoons place which is a former Chapel and a former post office. Standard Weatherspoons menu. Safe good value.

you cannot go wrong with a weather spoons. you should be able to find something on the menu to suit everyone. cheep and cheerful.

Ok we know it’s not a gourmet restaurant but good choice on the menu for both adults and children , some good deals including a drink and always cooked well a presented nicely . Staff always pleasant and offer good customer service . If there is an issue it’s quickly sorted

When this place opened it was very good, hence my first review, but now it seems to have gone downhill very quickly. The last time we are there we tried the breakfast and it was cold and disgusting, this time the food was just ok - the portion sizes seem to have reduced by a third.

Love this place. Regulars now. Great clean fast service. Beautiful building and great prices. So lucky to have this in our town!!!!

Nice friendly pub/restaurant - lets be honest, with Wetherspoons you know what to expect - good value meals plus cheap beer - without any frills.

Must say this is a very well done out Weatherspoons, they've made a really good job of it. Nice atmosphere and great staff.

This is one of the best places to get a drink in Huntingdon now, although its not difficult to get onto that list.

We have never been to a Weatherspoon’s before so didn't know what to expect. It was good to see some craft beers on as well as some familiar names. Nice pint of Hobgoblin washed my lunch down. The Steak & Kidney Puding was small but just the right size for me. Unfortunately the gravy was cold which I didn't know until after putting it on my lunch. This cooled everything down so took away some of the delight. The chips were light and crisp with no grease. I might try another time. No parking at the venue so be prepared to park and walk.

We chose a family lunch to your the restaurant. Food was very tasty, lots of portions. The only point to note is that the entire order was not given at the same time for all of us. Service very nice. We will come back to you. Thank you!!!

Stayed at the George across the road but this place has more drink and food choices.

I have never been to a Wetherspoons before but if this is normal then I won't go again. It's just really quite a depressing place. Unwiped tables, fruit machine, screaming kids. If you want cheap, low quality food then you may not mind. My food was poor. The pasta was cold and hard. I left most of it. My mother's lamb dish smelled unpleasant- think hospital / care home. My son said his burger was fine. The service was fine.

excellent quick service, food was hot and arrived quickly. Beer garden smoking area was lovely to sit in after our meal for a chat

Found this very large Weatherspoons in Huntingdon, and opted for the special on the menu on a Wednesday night. I was not disappointed as to the fast and polite service I got. Plenty of ales and lagers to choose from. The food was good, as are most weatherspoons. I will look forward to a return visit, possibly trying the breakfast on my next visit....Note:- No car parking available at the premises, but a large car park opposite.

Love going for a meal and a drink here. Food comes out quick along with the drinks. Using the app seems to make drinks and food come quicker. Download it!!

I was prepared to be un-impressed, however it's a nicely executed building with a good looking bar and was pleasantly busy. Table was sticky but wiped on request...the Lamb shank was really very good, the Lasagne less so but service was fast and the beer good, pretty good value too...
