Stopped by for a rest with our children and the staff here were really lovely and accommodating!

Lovely old hotel, delicious food, rooms comfortable & clean, beds comfortable, plenty of parking, some disabled parking, friendly welcome, good service, would recommend, fair prices

Great hotel.. lovely bar garden. The guy at reception was friendly and helpful.

Historic pub, good service but pricey.

Make sure you get your car parking validated, I didn't realise this had to be done and I just got a £100 fine for using the car park while stopping in for a quick pint with my son. Absolutely outrageous, I will never step foot in this place again. Shame on you.

Nice hotel, some areas look a little shabby, ordered a beer which was completely flat and the most expensive in town, service was very good though

Have an illness that required a visit to WC. Additionally, I wanted to have lunch. When I was offering my registration number, I was informed that they could not take it as I was not staying! So, I had lunch elsewhere. Very poor!

Went one afternoon for coffee with relatives . Pleasant bar and friendly staff spent an hour there .

We arrived on a freezing cold day in late April & worried about the temp in our room but didn’t take long to reach a comfortable temp. Friendly welcome, very comfortable bed & a great breakfast. Will return. Plenty of interesting places to visit in town & outside. Enjoy.

Lovely quick visit and v nice steak and cheese ciabatta. The barmaid was friendly and AM Adam was very nice and makes place very welcoming

Visited for the valentine's day offer,what can I say,service excellent,food absolutely fantastic, what more can I say,so much better than our visit at Christmas which was a total shambles

Popped in for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The service was good as was the food. The bar area although busy wasn't noisy. The food didn't take long to arrive. Would definitely go back if I was in the area again.
