Great service by Carolina very professional well mannered in a world where I wonder ifpwoplw actually enjoy the fact they have a job. I'd come back and eat here just for the good service alone.

Después de haber disfrutado de un fin de semana en París y dos restaurantes Michelin - esto era mejor, aunque no París. Equipo bien hecho.

Usually this store is ok but on 27 December 2024 it was useless. Poor service. Nothing to eat and the serving was useless. Tried to feedback on feedbacktocosta.co.uk but it wouldn’t let me search for the location. Probably best to avoid Costa about a bank holiday

Nice looking pub. But I’m afraid it was a disappointment. Staff didn’t look like they could be bothered. It was very over priced I’m afraid. Food was nice but I thought limited menu. Not to everyone’s taste. Room was nice. But very very noisy on a night and in a morning when other people started to get up and using the shower which sounded like it was in your room not there’s. Yes I know it’s a pub and can’t help noise. But they do need to warn people when they put them above the bar area it was very loud indeed.Not to everyone’s taste if they told people then they can ask for a quiet room when booking and not above the bar area.Shutters in bedrooms need blinds as well because when it is getting light . light shines through. Cosmetically look great logically not practical.Some people want to sleep. Nice touch with fridge. I have stayed in a lot of rooms priced the same and I’m afraid this place just wasn’t up to the standards that I expected for that price. So yes very disappointed. And yes I write a lot of reviews and yes I always say what needs to be said. So things can get put right for guests in the future. Because at the end of the day they are your bread and butter. And when paying a lot of money things have to be spot on.

Really convenient stop on A1, opened all day, great coffee. Serves food all day long, as well Hawkstone beer (see “Clarkson’s farm”). The service is fantastic - one feels very welcome. Comfortable bar and lovely old fashioned restaurant. Summer is the garden is great, but disturbed by the relentless noise of cars and Lorrie’s on A1. However, inside is peaceful and cosy. Haven’t tried the accomodation but it also looks very comfortable, warm and quiet.

Great place for a comfort break and a buttie.

Ordered online, then got a notification to say they cancelled order for no reason, so me and kids deciding what to have as a treat for then the delivery driver to arrive with the food at the door kids happy they have what they originally wanted , I said I thought it was cancelled so he went back to his car to see what was going on then nothing so I rang them to see are we actually getting the food we wanted as he drive brought it to the door and the kids saw it for then to say there mistake it was cancelled they didn’t mean to and then said the driver has brought the food back and nothing they can do, talk about dangling right in the kids faces and taking it away again. Not happy poor customer service will not use again
