McDonald's in Huntingdonshire

I used to avoid McDonalds on principle; junk food sustaining a junk culture. But I’ve mellowed/got jaded. I really like (love?) their cheeseburgers - esp’ the triple cheeseburger! - and their French Fries are usually very good (of occasionally a tad too salty). Service varies with who’s working, but is usually fast, efficient and friendly enough. Value for money? Hard to say… just very convenient, and seductively tasty!

By far the worst mcdonalds establishment I have ever visited. I popped in for a late night dinner after doing a 19 hour shift at work. Wasn't worth the money in the slightest. Chips were stone cold and hard, as though left on the side for a length of time. My cheesy bites were missing the dip that came with them. My burger was cold and terribly dry. Also contained onions when I specifically asked for no onions. It even says "no onions" on the box (luckily it's just a case of me not liking them rather than a serious allergy). And to top it all off, my coke was flat and warm. Dreadful service from the young lad there. Just shouted my number and pushed the bag across the side to me without a word. When I requested a cup holder he tutted at me and slammed it on the side. Absolutely disgraceful service and food. I won't be returning thankyou very much!

Always find the staff here to be cheerful and pleasant.

Ordered online and most expensive item missing on delivery, called and they are not interested.

Motorway services McDonald's what do you really expect? Service at times can be very slow, but fairness to the staff it gets VERY busy and I mean 50-100 people waiting about for their orders so it is to be expected.

6:50 am. Hash brown happened to be cold, also had person behind the counter without badge or MCd uniform. Joined toilets at Peterborough services smelly and generally not clean. Display screen not working. Good mcmuffin, lovely hot coffee, served by nice girl. Good enough for fast food. Quick.

It's a McDonald's like all the McDonald's around. You got there because you can't be bothered to cook not because you fancy a romantic meal out or a family reunion.

Typical mcdonalds experience. Quick service with limited interaction with another human. Ordered mcdouble and enjoyed it.

I visited McDonalds at the A1 Peterborough services in August en route to family down south. I had an extra large Big Mac. Much to my shock, horror and dismay, at 1am I awoke with terrible stomach gripes. I had to rush to the bathroom. I had the worst diarrohea I've had for years thanks to the extra large Big Mac at the A1 Peterborough services. I don't know whether the runs were caused by the food being undercooked or lack of hygiene? I would advise all travellers to avoid this McDonalds like the plague, especially if you have a long journey, as it could end in disaster!

Worst MC in the UK, service is terrible, managers are cocky and arrogant, tills never have paper for receipts. And they always mix up sandwiches. By the way, extra bacon for 80 pence? Seriously?

I would steer clear of this place if you're ordering from home. None of my orders have ever come containing everything that I ordered. After I questioned them they basically washed their hands with the delivery guy when the bag is sealed at McDonald's. If you are also on site check your orders because they tend to forget there as well proving my point for me.

Cold food, lot of mistakes. I waited over 25min for wrap

Very busy but staff helpful and seats available. Food as usual for McDonald's. Only problem was app on phone wouldn't work to order

As it's the school holidays the place was full of loads of unwashed spotty 14 year olds smoking joints, getting in the way and generally cluttering the place up. Service was very slow, not sure what the food was like as I didn't eat any of it.

Possibly the worst Macdonald's I've been to. Admittedly they were busy, but my number wasn't called and I was standing right near the counter. They just left it, when I questioned it they said "yeah it's right here" checked it and was missing my drink. Questioned it again and they didn't even know what the drink was, told them it was milkshake and was told I had to wait 5-10 minutes...... By this time my order had already taken about 25 minutes. Asked for them to re-do the order and the female manager just got snotty and said "yeah we are busy"!!!!!! I mean yeah I can see that, but when people who ordered 15 minutes after me are getting served before me it becomes a joke. Will unlikely return.

Do not, ever, ever, ever buy a milkshake until a real replacement is found for the soggy paper straw. Who thought this would be a good replacement for plastic? 2 sucks and the straw goes soggy.... I'm boycotting milkshakes til this problem is fixed

It's well naff like them all, easy and quick but it is what you expect a burger with nothing but lettuce and Mayo on the top.....please after all these years add some salad on the burgers!

Slowest McDonald's ever, took over 15 minutes to get a simple breakfast meal. Some of the till points were not working and they had a poor lady try and shout out the order numbers when they were ready instead of using the screen system. Do not recommend this restaurant, you're better off driving to the next one or going elsewhere

Badly built sausage and egg mcmuffin... slightly under cooked hashbrowns ( worked for McDs for 10 yrs... so know what I'm talking about)

Could do with someone filling machines with receipt rolls more regularly. Last 3 times we went there they had run out.

This really is an appalling store, generally McDonald’s are well managed. But this one is something else, there are several different managers but all clueless. Visited again yesterday the self service machines failed to produce a receipt, the numbering machine failed to a single number. The food that I ordered a banana milkshake and a McFlurry took 40 minutes to be served. It’s pot luck here whether you get hot or lukewarm food. The worst McDonald’s I’ve ever visited. Uk head office of McDonald’s should send in senior managers to sort this place out

The food was hot, staff were grumpy and it was quite dirty when i went in

Self service payment wasn't working and when we were given our food it was missing two lots of fries which we had to go back for.

All normal eating experience @ McDonald's, the only downer was the sun outside had disappeared for the day and the air conditioning inside was chilled, so made the eating experience a little chilled.

McDonald's, cheap and tasty. Just wanted food and tea quickly and got it. Quarter pounder with cheese was excellent, fries hot and tasty. Tea decent and hot. Excellent value for money. Ordered at touchscreen. Only issue was the order screen was not working and didn't hear staff calling order numbers over the noise. But staff very friendly and helpful.

Dire established to drive the weaker class into more poverty and dependence.

I really don't understand how difficult it is to serve customers what they have ordered and paid for. Came home after picking up an order and some of the items which I had paid for are not in the bag! Can't rely on McDonald's anymore.

The first McDonalds to get the order correct and Fry's were nice and hot

Very friendly staff, although very busy when we went, so quite a long wait. The food was average I would say, but still enjoyed it.

A decent of times, there are items missing. Other than that, it’s McDonald’s, not much to add. EDIT: since reviewing a while ago. Every order has had something with wrong or missing. Just received a delivery with one wrong drink, no sauces that we ordered and no straws. That’s minor compared to normal. Too many low IQ kids who can just hide behind just eat and Uber eats. Gonna start walking there soon and see them get everything right when they know you’re there to complain in person.

Great outdoor play park for kids food is usually hot and problem free although staff do ignore and leave customers waiting, who want to pay cash.

I have never had such a good service at McDonald’s. A manager (I think) kept a close eye on all tables, made sure everyone was happy, and gave little flags to children. Top man!

Busy busy, stopped on way home from airport London late at night. Seems OK.

Just popped in for a couple of Mcflurries. Portion size even smaller than the mini and hardly any wispa bits and caramel sauce supplied! Rip off!!

Often stop here on our travels and we are never disappointed. The staff, specifically the elderly gentleman who is amazing with kids and brings activity packs and balloons for them, are lovely. Food is always good and fast. Can't fault them in this particular McDonald's.

Good little McDonald's this one pretty fast with the service no matter what time of day your there was plenty of seating as you would expect for a services.

One of the better macdoalds I've been too.. Loads of people but very efficient and didn't have to que long. Manager was very friendly and was even going round the tables asking people how the food was and taking rubbish for them

Check your order before leaving. Missing portions and cold chips. Won't be going back as there is a KFC across the foyer.

My worst ever visit to McDonald's today at Peterborough Services. Many of the self service order points not working, the one I managed to use didn't give a receipt but the staff at the counter said that was okay. When we got the order home (2 minutes later) one portion of fries was missing the other two portions were cold.

McDonald's is McDonald's you know exactly what you are going to get and very rarely do you not, clean and tidy the only food outlet open during the early hours of the morning.

Perhaps add breadcrumbs to your chicken selects, instead of giving me a chicken fillet. Or maybe, just maybe, some salt on the chips. Pretty rubbish MacDonalds. Letting the brand down people.

If you order from here, just know you have to baby sit the staff. You will have loads missing if you don't check your order, so they like you paying for stuff and not give it you, so just make sure you baby sit them and let them know what they have to do because they don't.

Motorway service mc d, stopped in early one morning and seamed to have very minimal staff, took ages for a very small order to actually come out even though we were only people waiting

Whilst I don't expect much from McDonald's, it would have been nice if my hot chocolate was hot and my cheeseburger wasn't drowning in tomato ketchup.

Food was cold, when I ask for replace I was treated badly and they just heat bun and give it back to me

Fast service, correct order. You can order via app. Very busy but quick service.

We have stopped here a few times,either when travelling on holiday or for days out. This is one of the most organised mc Donald's I have been too, and every other franchise should come here for training. Even at the most busiest time , and like some one else has said a very well oil machine. Friendly, well organised and food was good.

Always a decent coffee, even better at those prices.

I ordered a just eat amd when it arrived it was not the right order it had the order we had on the bag by not the food when we rang the store whoever answered the phone was very rude to us and was very disrespectful I would happily say I’m not ordering from here again

Clean and tidy establishment with the same consistency you'd expect with a franchise. Not much more to really say at this point it was a smooth service and the place was tidy.

Another McDonalds, another place that forgets the dips. It's almost as though they are told to leave them out?!

Hard and gummy pancakes for breakfast. Plastic fork and knife given but I encourage staff to try to cut them. Impossible.

Broken ordering machines, had to quickly get an order in to make it work otherwise it would have been a half an hour queue wait as the machines was glitchie. The machine didn't even work properly making it difficult to order and staff wasn't polite mainly the guy who checks the orders.

This particular store does not have a drive-thru. They have also chosen to turn off the order number screen. I'm assuming because it's always so busy that they get inundated with queries from customers thinking their order is ready, when it's not. The one issue is that on the weekend, and being a services outlet, the place gets extremely busy. And customers don't think about anyone other than themselves, and tend to stand and wait in the middle of the walkway. Other than that, I've ordered countless times and never waited too long, nor had a wrong order.

Taking the fast out of fast food.

Very quick and efficient, but the speed of service/delivery compromises a meal that looks like it was literally thrown together! Hence squashed burgers and mangled chips. Good value for money though. Suggest you eat with your eyes shut !!!!?

Would have given it no stars if I could. Ordered a delivery and when it turned up the order was wrong. Ordered a chicken sandwich and it was delivered in a chicken sandwich box but when opened it was a beef burger. Had to go back to change it. The manager said its a chicken sandwich so I said open it, oh she said its a quarter pounder. They would not reimburse the delivery money and said I would have to claim from the delivery company. The delivery company were not to blame as they delivered what the macdonalds staff packed. Macdonalds what a bunch of useless cowboys.

Quick service, and the taste you love. Apparently a shortage of napkins, ketchup, and receipt roll; but the staff are helpful.

Breakfast doesn't taste as good from this McDonald's as it does at others. It can take some time to get your food as its a busy service station.

Very efficient & quick service..polite staff..

It is a McDonald's, however it was very well run. A lot of people and a lot of orders but the team were a well oiled machine, producing the food efficiently. Not all the machines had paper for receipts so you did need to remember your order number, but otherwise all good.

We only had two cartons of tea. Ordered it via the order screens ( a pain) Then had to wait as orders came out in turn. However tea was excellent and good value. Probably the best tea available at Peterborough Services.

Best McDonald's ever. Very friendly staff. Politely direct you to the menu. Answer obtuse questions. Sadly lacking in English Mustard, but the ketchup was excellent. Good vegan options. Clean surfaces. 23:00 is a good time to visit.

Absolutely ridiculous, i am an employee of mcdonalds and was on a road trip was denied of my employee meal after showing my employee deal after a long drive by a bald manager with glasses named ‘pete’. When i finally paid and received my meal it was cold, fries unsalted and the 5 selects cold. Disgraceful experience do not visit this mcdonalds.

We went for country weekend which our friend Steve Chase organised and did a brilliant job as always
