The best restaurants in Loughton St Mary's Epping Forest East of England

We booked a midweek evening meal for my friends birthday when we arrived we were told there was no starters, no burgers, no salad and no chicken plus limits on other meals!! We should have left at this point but instead we ordered our food. 3 dishes took over an hour to arrive and food was cold! I sent back the rack of lamb as it was cold and undercooked despite asking for medium well the lamb was red and bleeding. I was told food would be replaced but instead it was heated up and give back to me as the lamb still had the bits I had cut on the plate. They didn’t charge for the lamb but food choices were awful and preparation slow I felt sorry for the waitress I could see she was very embarrassed I am afraid I will not be returning

We only used this as a takeaway service but the food was fantastic and generous portions. Shame it didn't get a chance to be established.

This is without doubt the worst Indian in the area Shocking staff Shocking service Shocking food We will never come here again and have told all of our friends and family to stay away from this restaurant Disgusting

Nice quiet space and a good variety of pastries, toasties abd great variety of hot drinks, frappes, iced lattes, smoothies. I ordered the pistachio and salted caramel frappe with whipped cream on top. It was sweet enough for me so asked for a bit more syrup and they did. Very nice.

My “around the way burger shop” never lets me down, tastes better than kfc and the service is better too.

We had a pleasant evening out with the family yesterday, the food as always perfect in taste, very friendly and attentive staff, will definitely come back. Thank you

Eggs were sent back as not soft but completely undercooked. I explained I liked them medium and they cooked them again and one was fine but the other one was undercooked again. I explained that I was in a rush and did not want them cooked a 3rd time. They said the eggs were poached soft, I explained I did not request this. They still insisted on charging me full price for a half eaten undercooked breakfast. Moles used to be so nice I will not be returning.

Ordered a takeaway via Uber eats, the order turned up wrong and stone cold. Quality is terrible. Avoid. No one to contact as there isn’t a contact number. Will never use them again!!

Usually this brunch is good but today I ordered from just eat and the chicken had raw guts left inside the pieces. It came late and cold and my dip was missing too I just hope to god I don’t get food poisoning

I placed a order and forgot something called up and there was no way off cancelling order so a lovely staff member ateeq added what I wanted to the order and paid out he’s own pocket thank you

high quality food. Large pieces of beef in beef chop suey, fried rice delicious. etc etc was nervous as building doesnt look great from outside but food absolutely delicious.

Waited 20 minutes to get served then told they wouldn’t take the order at the counter and I had to use the self service machine . They were too busy serving Uber and Just Eat to bother with an actual customer. Went over the road to Morley’s, they were happy to take an order , chicken pieces were bigger , chips a full sized portion AND it was cheaper !

very rude service, very arrogant staff, it's a shame, I went with my family and I'm ashamed, I understand the lack of work.
