Pizza Express in Epping Forest

We had a pleasant evening out with the family yesterday, the food as always perfect in taste, very friendly and attentive staff, will definitely come back. Thank you

Popped in for a quick bite. Needless to say would NEVER RETURN. The pizzas are so small and taste like something out of the freezer. They were the size of a 7 inch record, if that! To be fair the kids menu is a good deal £7.95. Whole place just did not feel clean either. £40 all in for a pizza and a drink each and kids meal. NEVER AGAIN.

We had a lovely dining experience. Itziar in particular was very attentive and efficient!

Unfortunately a women I guess was a manager was extremely rude and made me feel very unwelcome.

Menu was very dirty side plates are dirty. Needs better cleaning:-(

This is a shockingly rude place to go, the staff didn't serve us, I asked 3 times to order over a span of 20 minutes. When I asked if I could order a drink for my 5 year old who was hungry and thirsty I go told to 'be quiet and wait'. This was done by the person who takes the orders who he wears glasses and has a short beard. He said it so loudly and rudely my 5 year old got scared so we had to leave Do not go to this branch whatever you do. Shame on you pizza express, going to boycott these restaurants now. Went to pizza hut after and it was great and they were so polite, still in shock by what happened

Honestly, Pizza Express is usually my go to, USUALLY great food and great service, however, this one was pure rubbish, uncooked food served to me aswell. I ordered a pollo pesto, thinking it would be delicious, yet this had uncooked pasta, and I asked for no onions, yet they gave me extra onions which showed how they don’t adhere to customers needs as I could’ve been allergic. Service was bad too, didn’t check up on us once aswell.

Unfortunately our food was marked as delivered so upon learning this an hour later,. I went to the restaurant to collect for the food I had paid to be delivery. I can't fault thr resturant as I love pizza express, they event attempted to keep the food warm - despite their best efforts it was chewy. I have taken this up with 'Just Eat' as I don't think it's fair on the customer or the resturant however I am still awaiting a response!

Yesterday evening I ordered a takeaway for a collection time of 1900. On arrival restaurant was very busy. A older male waiter approached me and when he realised I was there to collect a takeaway, he walked off and ignored me, not even bothering to return to update me throughout my whole time waiting. I found this very rude. I did speak with a lovely younger female waitress who assisted me. I waited 40 minutes for my order. Online order stated 1900 collection time. I received my order at 1940. When I got home both pizza's were awful! Toppings were extremely sloppy and the base was undercooked dough! What a complete waste of money. According to owner review: "Every dish is made with care - and flair...." Well, NOT last night! Terrible service!

This is the second time we have been recently and the service is shocking. Incredibly slow, brought our starters before our drinks. I had to ask for our drinks. Waiter then forgot to bring the salad for my mains again had to ask for it. Then ended up paying the bill via the app as couldn't get a waiters attention. Very disappointing as we used to go all the time, but I'm not sure what has happened, new waiters not trained? We won't go back unfortunately.

The original time I was given was 6:55pm, and it kept getting pushed back (unsure if there was no drivers available), once we got the food it was quite cold (but had a very hungry toddler so could not be bothered with the calling and complaining) won't be ordering from Pizza express again, never had this from other restaurants, not even from ones that are further away.

We haven't been here in ages. But went recently and found the new bbq chicken pizza is amazing.

Lovely atmosphere with extremely friendly staff. Mia was helpful as always and all service was with a smile. The new smokey bbq pizza was delicious. Would definitely recommended.

The match day meal deal doesn’t specify pizza size & the sides are properly small - 3 tiny tenders is naff man. That being said, the pizza was fairly tasty.

I have seen that the guy junaid is absolutely right because i am also familiar with that particular person as junaid mentioned in his review. It was same happened to me he was so rude and he seems like he’ll eat the person who doesn’t follow his rules. This is unfair totally and i highly condemn this. This is my request to pizza express owner to change that person he should learn the manners and he should have control on his emotions and anger as well.

This is totally unfair , I thought it’s just happened with me , but there is another case . Pizza express management should take action against that particular man.

I have visited this shop two to three times and their staff behavior is very bad and their service is also not good so owner should take action against this thanks.

I have visited pizza express Loughton on 4/may/2024 around 19:00pm. I don’t know how to explain that scene it was so much bad, i just took a order from there when i came to one of there staff member he said do you have bag? I said yes! He said show me i show him and i received order and put it in my car. He came back and he said you can’t carry in this way and started abusing. I were shocked about his behaviour when i start my car and drive he was running towards me like he is gonna kill me i just ran away from there. But it was so embarrassing. The man with beard and he was healthy as well but so much mad he can even do this to anyone please be safe to go there and i request to pizza express please hire employees who are polite and cool not killers. Anyone can see video of this scene i am not lying i am afraid to go there.

Sadly several promotional items were not available which was very disappointing. The main course I had was tasty Italiano Chicken Calzone.

Waited over an hour for food. I only ordered as the delivery time was firstly stated as 25mins & time just kept on being added to it ended over a hour wait. Usless

So noisy and stressful, we left with headaches. The restaurant was only half full at most, yet the noise was terrible. This was partly due to a children's party and another table with a screaming child, but we feel the decor also lead to the noisy acoustics. We'll go to epping in future as its much nicer

Ordered a Caesar Salad which took around half an hour to arrive, had around 5 very small shredded pieces of chicken and the rest was lettuce with loads of Parmesan cheese. Left feeling underwhelmed having spent £30 on one salad and 2 drinks

Absolutely incompetent. Avoid and order from somewhere else.

Pizza Express Loughton does not accept Tesco vouchers. They tricked customers to download App and pretend the voucher is not scannable. I told them to bill me as a non pizza express reward customer, but the waiter pretended that the voucher is not scanning. Please do not get tricked by this restaurant. Dough balls was flat and burned and the pizza was very cold.

We were five peoples, we had two pizza and it were great. Stuff was very nice and professional named Mehedi, he was very well mannered and very concern about our comfort. Food was so good. Love to visit again.

The service here is sooo slow. The waiters get the orders wrong and forgot to bring the drinks you ask for. If you go here be prepared for a very long wait for your food.

Visited on Saturday afternoon as we had 1/3 off vouchers. We had no issues with walking in. I had the Romana Hot, which was delicious.

we had polo pasta and it was delicious. Waiter Mehedi was so well behaved and professional. we got our food on time.

Itziar’s service was excellent and we enjoyed our visit.

Met the nicest, friendliest and most helpful staffs. Gone out of her way to bring the plates over just so I could see the difference between a Romana and classic pizza. Definitely recommend coming here.

Been to the restaurant recently and the food was great so we ordered it at home and Jesus, what a mistake! Food was luke warm, no garlic butter with the doughballs, none of the three pizza's had been cut and one of the sides was missing. Apparently good service doesn't extend beyond the restaurant door. Fuming!

AVOID! MANAGER IS ATROCIOUS. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Single handedly the worst service I have experienced in a restaurant in my life. The "manager" is extremely arrogant. Waiting staff were busy (we waited for 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the door with a restaurant 90% empty) and so he pointed us to a table "over there in the corner". The table had no cutlery or glassware. We were completely ignored and decided we would just leave after 30 mins. No offers of drinks or even menus! I told the manager we were leaving and my reasons, and he replied, "OK, bye". We decided to drive to Pizza Express South Woodford where we had fantastic service by comparison.

Had a lovely experience, the waitress was so so lovely, it was my sons birthday and she went out of her way to make him feel special. The food arrived in good time and was gorgeous.

Ordered at 7pm, ETA kept changing, arrived at 8.40 after I phoned the shop..! Pizza was cold

We went in on a Sunday at 8.35pm and we were turned away as apparently it was take away only. Even though empty seats all over and it closes at 10pm! Online bookable slots form 8.45pm until 9.30pm. Then called in and checked and they said last orders at 9.15pm and when we told them we had been turned away they stated chef resigned last minute. If that was the case then why were we offered takeaway then!? Absolute joke of a place, service and staff. This chain will not survive with incompetent and useless staff that turn away paying customers because they are too lazy to work hard. We will be taking this complaint to HQ and the local newspaper due to the sheer disrespect and lack of hospitality, in an industry that is supposedly in dire need of customers! Whoever this Charlie manager is, needs to looks at themselves and their staff and make some executive decisions to remove incompetent and rude staff.

Delivery never showed up although app said it was delivered, so I had to go the restaurant and guess what - it was just being made. Manageress indifferent. Deleting app - this has happened too many times.

I ordered to arrive for my lunch break it arrived over 2 hours late. Very unhappy and now will not be able to eat until I finish work. Pizza express said this was down to just eat. And to take it up with them.
