A friend and I went for a meal last Monday 30th January. We arrived at 8.15pm and our order was taken very quickly, but not one thing was right. Both my friend and I ordered the vegetable and pasta soup, which on a positive note was delicious. However, my friend did not receive his at the same time. He waited patiently, then after ten minutes asked where it was. The waiter apologised, admitting he had forgotten. I had finished mine by then as my friend had asked me not to wait for him. For the main course, my friend ordered the vegan spaghetti bolognaise and I ordered pizza. My friend said his meal was tasteless and could have been hotter, and my pizza was barely warm, so I sent it back. I was promptly told that nothing could be done as the kitchen was closed (at 10 past 9?) so I mentioned that surely he still had access to a microwave. He commented that they don’t usually put pizzas in the microwave (Erm - I wanted it warmed up) but he did. For too long, though, as it was tough and inedible, so left it. We also asked for a jug of water. Along came a small jug despite there being two of us, and two dirty glasses, so we asked for two clean ones, which were then provided and should have been provided in the first place. Back to the jug, it was clearly a jug for one and not enough water for a whole glass each. For dessert, I ordered tiramisu and my friend ordered cheesecake, both of which were fine, but we had expected dessert spoons to eat with, not teaspoons… We had a 25% off voucher, which was why we chose Prezzo, but we will not be choosing the Buckhurst Hill branch again. The staff seemed in a rush to get rid of the customers who were left, so we didn’t order coffee, nor did we leave a tip, nor will we be returning, despite not being charged for the pizza I didn’t actually get to eat. Appalling service from a well-known and reputable chain.

We went here for New Year’s Eve. The food was great. The service was superb. There was a slight mix up with one of our starters but it was was sorted out quickly and efficiently. The staff were all very friendly and attentive checking if everything was okay. Great service.

We had exceptional service from Leya and Patrycja at Buckhurst Hill Prezzo this eve. Made our evening enjoyable. Thanx.

Today we took my Nan to prezzo Buckhurst Hill for her birthday, can honestly say the staff were lovely the manager was apologetic about our issue but overall the food not so great… the spaghetti came as just pasta with rarely any sauce and lacked flavour, my mum complained (which is rare) and the waitress agreed and said how that’s how it’s told to be served and they receive many complaints about this issue but can’t give more sauce, they did bring over some more sauce after the complainant however this still was a small portion not enough to top the spaghetti’s that we’re ordered, really disappointed about the meal quality, if it wasn’t for the amazing staff I probably would’ve rated 1 star. Photo was after my dad mixed hes pasta and flipped it abit hence the messy plate aha.

From the minute our order was taken it was a disaster. The electronic machine ran out of batteries half way through the order so the waiter had to get a pen and paper and start again. Then was then a very long wait. Two of our starters arrived (one missing garlic bread) before our drinks arrived. We were told that all the staff were new so would have to "bare with them" Still no food for our son and mother. Then the drinks arrived and the waitress didn't even know what they were and just dumped them in front of us to guess. Still two starters missing. The garlic bread and child's starter finally arrived but the first two starters had finished. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the final starter. When the mains came up the waitress again did not know what dish was what. I had order gluten free so was concerned that I was getting the right meal. Our sons was again last to arrive 5 minutes after ours. We asked for parmesan and it arrived after the bill! Then the waitress dropped a knife in my mother's drink but didn't offer to replace it. When we asked of we could have another she replied "it was the clean end" The attitude and excuses where unacceptable. I understand if there are new members or they are short staffed but the management was atrocious. The cost of our starters was removed from the bill and we decided to have dessert at home to save any more disasters occuring. Will not return. Ever!

I'm sorry the food was average, 2 of the 5 of us had to change our order due to not having certain products. Ordering chicken on top of a pasta dish (2 of our party) they received 5 small pieces of chicken between them and had to pay an outrageous surcharge for the privilege. The chef rectified the issue but by which time, taking the pasta away and putting chicken on then bringing pasta back out rendered it warm at best. Even with a voucher as far as I'm concerned the meal wasn't worth the money. I'm not sure why I actually gave 2 stars. Maybe cos I'm a nice bloke!

Today, (Tuesday 29) I visited prezzo for some lunch, food was great but I noticed how the manager on duty was absolutely lazy. The waitress working was running the whole restaurant by herself, including the bar! I noticed that the manager was holding a piece of paper for more than an hour while the only waitress was constantly pacing from one end of the restaurant to the other, trying to serve all the customers by herself. This is unacceptable!

Used this restaurant as alternative with outside seating area available. Was not pleased when texted and told it was going to be cancelled which I found out it was because of short of staff. Certainly not appropriate in this climate, after suffering for so long without clients and business to be proud of, one would do the utmost to ensure customer flack in as much. Hiwever due to shortage of waiting in the catering industry this restaurant suffer badly. Food was just about ok, with improvements necessary to create the whow factor for success in the future!

Well worth a visit local to Buckhurst Hill just from the Central Line tube and easy five minute walk. Good food and welcoming service.

An absolute disgrace from start to finish. Table booked at 5pm only two other people in there. Explained I had a voucher (buy a gift.com) so was given alternative menu. Ordered a vodka and coke got a coke! Then we had starters which was very average (bread) I had pizza For main which was pretty awful then I looked underneath and realised why it was pure black. I showed the waitress who offered a free drink. Two hours later I had to ask if we could have desert despite two waitresses and no customers! (It was a set three course meal or wouldn’t have bothered) then there was several attempts at exchanging the codes and one of the waitresses was rather rude about it. When I got up to leave after being robbed of £40 I noticed someone else’s cooked pasta under my chair! Yuk. If your chef can’t even grill a pizza without burning it in an empty restaurant then you are in big trouble and he needs to rethink his career. And the Manager might need to turn up and question where it’s all going wrong before u go bust.

Visited with family. Nice food and staff friendly and helpful. Pizza was freshly made just after order. Highly recommend

I gave it a try twice and I will never return. The first time I tried the pizza, as a pizza lover; and I cannot say anything good about it. Maybe slightly better than Dominoes. It was just lifeless. But I returned tonight as I had hankering for Chicken Parmagian., and Italian classic. But no Chicken Parm on their menu. So I ordered the Chicken Marsala as well as a mixed salad to start and a side of Penne with tomato sauce on the side. The salad came out immediately and it was acceptable. But immediately after it was put down, out came the chicken. This was in less than 3 minutes from when I placed my order with the server. How can it have been cooked fresh in such a short period of time??? The Grilled Chicken Breast was wafer thin, 1 piece of wilted spinach was on top, and 2 slices of mushroom all in a brown mushroom sauce. So where was the Marsala??? This was to Italian cooking as McDonalds is to a quality hamburger. The chicken had to be pre cooked to be served as quickly as it was. Plus my side of penne was lukewarm at best and the tomato sauce was bland. For £14.90, I certainly did not get my money's worth.

Four of us visited this branch last night. We ordered the mushrooms. There were 6 tiny little mushrooms for £6.50 that's just over a pound each...they were burnt too not what I would expect from Prezzo. I had fish, the vegetable were undercooked and hard. My husband couldn't eat his pizza and left most if it. This wasnt questioned when yet came to pick the plates up. Then I woke up in the early hours with a terrible tummy ache. Decided to go to work and thought it would wear off...alas no. I passed out and vomited the first aided said its something I ate which is what I thought as I was fine before this. My hubby has had the runs all day. I havent spoke to the other couple yet, but I wont be returning to this awful place. Get your act together Prezzo. We paid a lot of money for second rate food.

Simply cannot fault this place, staff are lovely and the restaurant is spotless! Always a good meal and normally offers on via app.

The majority of my family ate pastas for their mains which had clearly been microwaved and were not hot all the way through and cheese/pasta was hard and had looked like it had been cooked a long time ago and was being reheated. Starters were also not impressive, One of us had meatballs and it was clearly processed potentially also frozen or out of the tin definitely not freshly made as well as the sauce. Houmous did not look like houmous and definitely did not taste like it . On the bright side , service was lovely , it’s very spacious also with outside seating . Won’t be returning!

We visited here as a family yesterday evening and we couldn’t have been more impressed. We arrived late for our table and rather stressed as we had two tired and hungry children with us after a long day out. The staff rallied around and got our food to us promptly. They made us feel welcome and we’re friendly to the children. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant ambiance was good. We will definitely be visiting again.

The service here is always friendly and the food is always reasonable taste and quality. I do always go with a discount voucher though as they always seem to be available. I’ve had both the pasta and pizza and they are both good but the large garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onions is amazing!

Thanks to the lovely Ola, and her staff this restaurant, seems to have turned around to how it should be. with good service and good food as it should be. My friend and I opted for the summer 2 course menu, which came with a choice of drinks including a very delicious mocktail that we both opted for.My burrata caprese salad starter was delicious and my main of pasta with with prawns in chilli and garlic was also very good. Such a vast improvement on the last time I went. Keep up the good work. Will be back.

Great atmosphere and nice simple Italian food. We have such a nice pizza and they have outside area so we could enjoy weather. I would never expect chain restaurant to have such a great service.

With generic chains it always comes down to service. There are so many places to eat in London that restaurants that fail to grasp this will not do well. Food is average at best. But unfriendly staff who feel they are doing you a favour and cannot be bothered to offer even a smile...... that is prezzo Buckhurst Hill. Maybe hospitality isn’t the best career option. Only two serving staff but no matter as only 3 tables including ours the entire time. Didn’t seem to want to let us sit outside. The waitress had not explained the menu and when we pointed out at the end in the nicest possible way that perhaps she could do this next time well..... wish we hadn’t bothered trying to help, rude, didn’t even want to listen. Won’t be going there again.

Food is what is expected from a chain, although the added value is that this one is very spacious and if there's sun out there, grab one of the tables with parasol in the back patio! Service is very good, prompt and attentive. Good place to rake the kids

Somehow this place always seems to be empty. The food is standard Prezzo, nice enough but expensive. Feels too large and lonely inside. Staff very helpful and friendly though

My wife and I had a late Sunday lunch (or early supper depending upon your point of view). We had sharing flat breads to start: four different varieties kept us both happy. I really enjoyed the Penne Gorgonzola as my main: if you like strong tastes as I do then well worth considering. My wife was rather disappointed with the puy lentil salad with roasted beetroot and butternut squash as she thought it was rather tasteless. For dessert we had tiramisu and the cannoli mini dessert. Both were very enjoyable. The restaurant was quite quiet and atmosphere was ok (sadly it was quiet enough to hear another diner who had a vocabulary which employed a high ratio of profanities in his speech) and the service was efficient, not pushy, and therefore good. All in all a good meal.

Never been to a Prezzo before and we were very very impressed with both the food and the staff both were excellent (highly recommended). We will definly visit another Prezzo when we can.

It was my first time in this branch and I must say amazing atmosphere. I came here for lunch with my family on Friday(bank holiday). We decided to sit down in the garden as weather was beautiful, was quite busy but staff was great very polite and attentive. Truly recommend, amazing place to eat.

We decided to order a take away online and collect it from the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was that the take away menu was extremely limited. Wanting a salad, I could only have a chicken ceasar. When the food arrived, the salad did not look edible, the chips were half a box and cold, and the pizza was under cooked. We arrived on time for the pick up time so I cant understand how the food was already cold as we only live around the corner. I will never order from here again and I will certainly not spend time in the restaurant if the food is this bad. Sorely disappointed.

Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Went for lunch. The 2 courses for £11.50 seems good value but the calamari had way too much batter, and although the batter was tasty it did not seem to contain much calamari.

Took the family to lunch and found the staff very attentive, the food very good and the cost reasonable. Only quibble was the parking, that was quite difficult. Will certainly be going again.

we were back in Buckhurst Hill after a year and decided to re-visit Prezzo on Sunday night. A much better vibe than last year, the place seemed buzzier and the food seemed at least as good if not better. We had a terrific Italian waiter who really looked after us and thanks to him.

I recently wrote a report that stated the standard of service was very poor having lost long established staff who were replaced with staff who frankly had no idea. I'm pleased to advise say they no longer work there and normal service has been restored. I hope they have found employment elsewhere and taught the basics of waiting.

It was a lovely dinner , nice and fresh food and very well looked after , nice and warm enviroment , we had just enogh light and the candles every table just made it look really welcoming . We will definetely return for dinner . Thanks guys for looking after us.

Majority of the staff are friendly. Its great that you can usually get deals through phone apps, taste cards etc. This does make a big difference to the cost as get 2 main courses for the price of 1 etc. Food always hot. Atmosphere is nice too

Was originally served by a woman named Christine who kept forgetting my partner’s and I order. Our food was bland and missing half the ingredients listed on the menu. When we asked Christine, she told us that we are wrong and that those ingredients do not come with the order we made. I then showed her the menu she gave to me. She came back and told us they had run out of those ingredients. After this she never came back. Not even to check on us or to give us the bill. However, she didn’t hesitate to add £10.15 tip for herself on the bill, which I gave her anyway.

Staff could hardly speak English. Food was absolutely terrible and cold when arrived. I actually had a stomach bug for days after visiting this restaurant. Will never visit here again. Total waste of money. Absolutely disgusting vile place and food!

Yesterday we decided to take a quick lunch at Prezzo and we didn’t regret at all. We love your new menu and manager Yovita been very helpful and provided nice service. We been recommended to try some new dishes by her and we love it. Definitely will be back soon.

We have been regulars at Prezzos in Buckhurst Hill,in fact Sunday night regulars. The service has always been excellent and the food good withour being spectacular - good value for money. I regret to say that the over the past three months the service has now become extremely poor with the waiters not able take an order and then taking ages to arrive. It is clear that some staff lack basic training, it is no coincidence that a couple of long standing managers have left. We now go elsewhere and hope that we hear in the not too distant future the service returns to normal.

Poor service. Below avaerge food. Have been a regular at this restaurant for many years but service and quality of food dramatically dropped in last 6-12 months. Now forced to go elsewhere for our local dinners sadly.

Not first time visit at this Prezzo, unfortunately will be the last - the waiter did not understamd our order so instead of just having one starter to share we got 2 - we were not given any side plates to eat our starter - the main course was not at the correct temperature nd the coffee was cold - the service we received was very slack and not organised.

Lovely meal in nice surroundings, staff very attentive. This restaurant is within walking distance and good for a family meal, especially if there are children with you.

Went to prezzos on a Saturday morning to celebrate my sons test results and was served by such an amazing waiter named marrco. Worked very hard and was nice to talk to. Would definitely come again. :)

I went to prezzo in Buckhurst Hill with my friends after work, and we were greeted with an excellent service by a waiter called Marco. He worked very fast and diligently, was super polite and funny. I have never been greeted with such a great service.

I have been there 3 times as We`ve visited last sunday in the afternoon with my Family. We’ve sitting in a beautiful garden. the meal was very tasty and served quickly. we'll all be back there.very nice service for us and for children. the food was delicious.

We visted last night for a family meal before going to the cinema. There were 6 of us and we hadn't booked, however at no point did anyone advise they were unable to seat anymore tables. We were sat right at the back of the restaurant which regrettably does not have air conditioning despite there being a table for 6 at the front of the restaurant. Once seated no-one came to take a drinks order after 15 minutes I had to go to the reception area and request to order. A waitress finally took our drinks order and we ordered food out food at the same time. In her defence there appeared to be only the 1 waitress covering the whole of the back of the restaurant including the patio area. The starters took about 20 minutes to arrive. We had to request a jug of water 3 times before finally receiving it which is when the starter plates were finally cleared. Another 40 minutes later and still no mail meals, we called a lady over who it transpires was the manager to enquire where the food was. Her name was Elena and quite frankly she was surly, completely non plussed when faced with our complaints and did not once apologise for the poor service, in fact she told us that if we stopped talking she could then see where our food was. At this point the table behind who were having the same issues began to vocalise their complaint at which point Elena shrugged her shoulders and said well don't pay for the food then! A further 10 mins at which point we were stood up and leaving, the waitress arrived at the table with the food we thanked her but told her we were now leaving, she apologized and began to cry, we reassured her we did not blame her in any way however her manager was entirely to blame. We walked to the front of the restaurant with the intention of paying our drinks bill but sadly Elena did not even make the effort to collect that. We left just as another customer began to complain and then whilst getting in our cars a further 3 tables walked out, and the poor assistant manager could also be seen crying. Shame on you Elena, greed, poor management of service, even poorer customer service and a total lack of communication. I sincerely hope this is read by the management and that Elena is dealt with accordingly and your assistant manager and waitress are recognised for their outstanding perseverance in the face of numerous complaining customers. We will not be returning!

My family and I visited this branch, we arrived at 6:30pm whilst we hadn’t made a booking the restaurant at this point did not look very busy... the assistant manager managed to sort us a table promptly, we were sat at our table a good 15mins (6:45pm)before anyone came over to which point we were ready to order our whole meal, our drinks took 20mins (7:05pm) from ordering not acceptable in this heat as the back of the restaurant was open there was no air conditioning and our starters took about 30mins (7:15pm) to arrive by which point we were very hungry, between our starters and wait time for our mains we asked for a jug of water 3 separate times only when the assistant manager put one on another table that sat later than ourselves got one it was noticed we still hadn’t received ours. At 8pm we decided to raise that we were still waiting for our mains with the manager Elena she didn’t seem fussed and said that they were fully booked, unfortunately if this was the case why were you still accepting walk ins? And why hadn’t she been round to the tables (as we were not the only ones to complain) to apologise had this been done we wouldn’t of been so upset, I myself am a general manager of a restaurant in Romford so I have the up most understanding of a busy understaffed shift but this was so badly handled, which reduced two waitresses to tears! At 8:10pm our food finally arrived and looked like it had been sitting there at this point we decided to call it quits and leave as we had just had enough! We had arranged a family meal and cinema planned for 8pm as normally your restaurants are very sufficient, my nan is a diabetic which we explained to Elena when we spoke to her about still waiting for our mains and again all she said is she’s fully booked! As you can see we left the restaurant about 8:15pm after being there for nearly 2hrs and only having had drinks and starters! No we did not pay, but we did say to Elena we would pay for our drinks but again we got up waited by the front door and were left waiting so we left as this is unacceptable. We had a lovely evening planned, missed the cinema time and as we all have full time jobs it’s hard to get us altogether. Have also emailed this to them hopefully will get a response!

Why can't this place get it right!!! The food is good (although my chicken was lukewarm at best and an extremely small portion), The service was beyond awful, with a surly and probably overworked waitress, and food being served firstly with a selection of flies on one of the main courses, and mine coming out a good 5 minutes after everyone elses, and a side salad for one the girls bought up (despite of asking several times where it was) when we were more or less finished. We asked for dressing for our salads and a spoon for pasta, however as they were not forthcoming we actually went and helped ourselves. Sort it out Prezzo or you won't last in the area.

I have visited the Prezzo in Buckhurst Hill many times over the years and I must say the food is always excellent. The waitress offered us a table at the front of restaurant but we declined as there was a party of about 20 people with very noisy children - in fact as we passed one couple said to us it was like a kindergarten! Anyway we sat at back and the children were just running and screaming around the restaurant with no discipline from their parents. I did complain to the waitress who just shrugged her shoulders. The table opposite us was empty the next thing three young boys from that table proceeded to scream and shout underneath the table. I then said to the parents can you please control your children to which the father said shall I put them in a cage - I said I have children but wouldn’t let them behave like that in a restaurant he then told me to F..k off. I was very shaken by this and told my husband to not retaliate as we are both in our mid 60’s and this young guy was very aggressive. I do think the management should have done something but it looked like the people were spending lots of money on alcohol etc. I can’t fault the food in Prezzo but this has certainly put me off returning to this restaurant!

Been to this place few days ago with fiends. I've had pizza margherita, garlic bread and king prawns as a starters . The food was really amazing and tasty. I really enjoyed so my friend did. Will visit it for sure someday.

I'd like to share with you my experience in that lovely place. Went there 3 days ago with my friend. We botch went for Tropicana pizza and Italian hummus which were really good I really enjoyed my food.

Went to Prezzo today - wouldn’t bother again! My friend was Gluten free and said this numerous times and they served her normal bread!! Not good enough! I asked for steak and tomatoes, they must have a tomato shortage I got 2.5 small cherry tomatoes. No high chairs for the baby when there was ONE other table in there! Waitress so so rude! Waste of money! Asked for tap water and was told no a bottle is what they give!

We were with my boyfriend in this restaurant a few weeks ago and the food was delicious. Yesterday we went back and it was a good decision! Food again delicious, fast and wonderful service, We recommend this restaurant!

Arrived at the door we were ignored by the woman behind the counter until she decided to great us in a not so pleasant manner. Got shown to a table it wasn’t busy and we were ignored for quite some time. Unpleasant staff and dirty menus and tables. Got up to leave after being constantly ignored and no one was bothered. Very off putting and uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. Not nice.

I invited my girlfriend to this restaurant last sunday and we was really surprised by delicious pasta and really nice service. Manager - Iana was very helpfull and caring. We will come back there and not once for sure

On saturday evning i was with my husband and son at Dinner in prezzo. The food was delicious and the service was very nice. Our son very much liked the waitress name Magda. Definetly we will come back to this restaurant. Pizza Fiorentina was the best pizza ever, we recommend IT!

I popped in to eat as I was hungry and this prezzo is near where I live. The staff were very welcoming and the service was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend people to come here and I will definitely come back !

We meet with our friends to celebrate the birth of their daughter. Our initial booking in a Greek restaurant was canceled due to a gas problem. After a long walk in the rain with two infants we felt terribly cold and thought that nothing could save our day. Fortunately we opened the door of Prezzo. We Were welcomed warmly by the the manager and within just a few minutes felt like we were home. From the first second we seated, everything was perfect. The drinks were fresh And quickly delivered.The food was delicious, bright and colorful like in Italian movies. The best sea bass and carbonara in the City!!!!

We take our kids here sometimes after school as a treat and to take a night off from cooking or making food. The chain is always decent, good and service is noticeably improving each visit. Its very local to us but the parking outside might be limited in peak hours so try the supermarket car park a few mins walk and for 90 mins stay. We love the kids meals with a pasta/pizza, starter, drink and pudding option which they love. HTe staff are ok to customize the dishes a little to the kids specific style and tastes which really helps. The mains for adults are all good and the wine list is very good value.

I always enjoy visiting this Prezzo restaurant as I am always greeted with a warm welcome and the food is always tasty and well presented. The staff are efficient helpful and friendly, just wish I knew all their names! The manager/supervisor tonight the 18th April was especially welcoming.

Sadly disappointing. Choice of pizza margarita prestigio disappointing. Barely any mozzarella. Goodness only knows how much they put on Classico.

We have eaten here on a few occasions & found it relatively good. However tonight, I took my wife, daughter & young granddaughter.

We had amazing experience again! From moment we walked in till the moment we left! Service was very attentive to our table and manager was really friendly asking if its everyting ok.

Do you want impress your girlfriend? Then this will be the best choice. Great service, tasty food and excellent wines. We really enjoyed this place. The food was delicious and it didn’t break the bank either. I have been several times and have loved it every single time.

I came here with family friends on Monday evening and had such a great night! Lovely decor, amazing pizza & we had great service from the waitress Karolina! (So much so we asked her name!) only downside was the dry calamari starter & hot chocolate made with skimmed milk! But would definitely return for the mains and service!!

We enjoyed a family dinner here last night and were very impressed by the quality of the food and very attentive service. Our waitress, Karolina, served us with a very friendly and helpful attitude, always with a smile. The only reason I haven't given five stars is because they didn't have any Cointreau for my husband's liqueur coffee.

First time in ages for this particular branch but I personally have never had a bad meal at any Prezzo. I like the decor and choices on the menu are reasonable. Not huge portion sizes but ample. Value is moderate but especially good with a voucher!

Lovely evening all together. The ambience in the restaurant was very pleasant, quiet and unobtrusive. The meals we had were very enjoyable, and the waitresses catered to our requirements in a helpful and friendly way.

I didn't expect a lot of great things, given the price and the location, but I was very pleasantly surprised, lovely and very friendly staff, good food, even if a little bit too overdone, but all in all, I would certainly come back again

My last visit last night was just amazing! I have never had such a great and friendly service and food was really tasty. Recommend to everyone! Thank you guys we will come back.

It was delicious! Staff were so kind and caring! They brought us our food nice and warm and bought us what we requested! Especially Jena was lovely! She served us with manner and kindness! Couldn’t of asked for a better lunch!

Second time coming here and it was great experience. From the custumer servis to the food! Seabass was so delicious.
