The best restaurants in Hertford Castle East Hertfordshire East of England

Went there for a few drinks for the first time, the staff was so so nice and welcoming to us all and our little dog, felt so heartwarming and homely, the best service I have ever received in any pub, thank you so much team for being fabulous people !

Lovely little cafe, albeit gets quite noisy when it's packed as it's in a small space. Served by Bethany, who was a great waitress and very knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. Food was great, and I appreciated the gluten-free options! The oat latte was maybe one of the best I've had, so good job there, too! Definitely would return.

Fantastic bread - especially harvester farmhouse - also great doughnuts and buns!

An oasis of calm near the town centre, and has lasted longer than Bircherly Green shopping centre did. Now with added Kevolution and garden stage. The new chef is very good and the Sunday roast is most satisfactory

Very rude customer service, we asked for no tomatoes, obviously we had tomatoes inside. Meat is very odd

Ordered through Just Eat, which clearly states that Combination Grills are "All served with salad, bulgur rice, pita bread, and sauce" I ordered the "Mix Grill", which is the first option under the "Combination Grills" section. I did not receive bulgur rice, which was irritating. I called the restaurant and explained. The restaurant informed me that, if Just Eat says it comes with rice, it is wrong, and that it doesn't come with rice. I made the point that, the meal was clearly described and was what was paid for. The man then became abusive. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

This is my go to in Hertford for decent coffee, always served how I like it. I ask for mine extra hot. Love the atmosphere inside and if the sun is out, it's always nice to sit out and watch the world go by. The food is nice, not a massive choice and all pre prepared so can't be modified. The cakes however are really scummy. Love it, my go to 😍

A LOT of people are reviewing the wrong establishment here. If you think you dined here in the evening - you did not. You went to Il Vino's RESTAURANT on St Andrew's Street towards Hertford North Station. This is a café that closes at 5pmon Fore Street in the town centre Been here numerous times, nice spot for lunch after a stroll round Folly Island and Hartham Common Park, they do excellent medium size pizzas (amongst many other things), and the prices are reasonable. Good service, piping hot food, tables outside for the vapers and smokers, and a room at the back for additional space.

Delicious as always. Haven’t ordered for a while as moved away from are but knew exactly where I was getting my food from when visiting! Everything fresh, tasty with brilliant portions. Thanks

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was lovely - bedroom was good, bed very comfy. Food was really nice. Staff that I met were lovely too

Really enjoy this Japanese experience. Not so many veg options though

No where to sit good if you're a teenager though.
