hidden gem of North London for indian food. I love the madras with chili garlic naan. they blast nothing but Phil Collins which is how you know the vibe is lit.

I've been going here for years and everything is always fantastic. I highly suggest the donatellos pizza it is incredible. It's a must visit for sure

We’ve been to Cicchetti in Ampthill a couple of times before. The food is great, tick. A great bar with plenty of choice, tick. Friendly and efficient service, tick! However, we’ve just come home from a very disappointing dinner. The acoustics in this restaurant are AWFUL - everything is a flat surface, making it even worse. The restaurant had accepted bookings for a 60th (a party of 40+ along one wall) and a 40th (a party of around 20+) and the noise was deafening. We were sat between the two parties and it was unbearable. My Apple Watch warned me that the environment was very noisy and that prolonged exposure could lead to permanent hearing damage. The staff were really struggling - the person looking after us told me she wanted to go home as well. We stayed an hour and left because we couldn’t take it anymore. Seriously, Fratelli Cicchetti! What are you doing!?!?! I’m sitting here having been home half an hour and my ears are still ringing…

Sadly, not as busy as it used to be & with less beer choice for the real ale enthusiast.

Helpful staff & delicious food. We always phone ahead to order. Our family have different demands! The staff are always helpful & the food is ready when they say it will be; cooked to order. The salad in the kebabs is fresh, the batter on the fish is crisp. When family visit from the states they always want at least one meal from the fish bar!

Después de haber oído hablar de esta camioneta alrededor de Bedford, hicimos un punto de rastrearlo para probar su fayre, me alegro de haberlo hecho. Mi esposa optó por un Bacalao grande y papas fritas pequeñas, que se servía en pipas calientes con una encantadora masa crujiente y un suculento pescado servido con papas fritas para morirse, sal y vinagre añadido al placer, elegí los bocados de Bacalao ya que no tenía demasiada hambre y mirando el Bacalao rebozado grande me hizo pensar en similares pero más pequeños, de nuevo servido en pipas calientes con una generosa porción de papas fritas pequeñas. En general tan bueno si no mejor que lo mismo de una tienda de pescado y patatas fritas.

Have been going here for years and have noticed a downtown recently. The bacon and sausage baguettes are still good but today we decided to have the “fluffy pancakes and seasonal fruit “ for £8.50. I can honestly say these were the worst pancakes I have ever had! They were definitely not freshly made, they were thin, hard and stale and barely warmed probably in the microwave , the fruit was frozen berries. For £8.50 they were inedible and I was not happy so I went to the kitchen and politely gave feedback and I was completely ignored! Also the “regular “ coffee is so small and the large is actually a regular. Very disappointed.

Once again their service is awful. Tried their takeaway by accident as my wife forgot how terrible they were last time. Still their management could not care if they miss orders, are late or get things wrong which they invariably will. Delivery an hour after suggested time. They do not deserve a spot in Ampthill and should be booked. Every single other establishment in a 10mile radius is better than this outfit. Stay well clear if you want even have decent service and food.

Food isn't bad most of the time if hugely overpriced, air con is pretty abysmal in the hotter months. Staff work their socks off but clearly the management are absolutely clueless. Constantly hear arguments and you can tell the staff get disheartened from it. Just a shame that the management clearly only care about the bottom line and not staff wellbeing and happiness. In conclusion, go for food if money is not an issue but by no means work there and as a guest be prepared for some Jeremy Kyle sideshow at times.
