Not for us the fish smelt really fishy and tasted off wasted money for us had to get something else for tea shame as they had a lot of customers going in while I was there thought it would have been nice

New landlord and landlady doing a great job. Really lovely people. I do prefer real ale but the beers they have on are very good.

hidden gem of North London for indian food. I love the madras with chili garlic naan. they blast nothing but Phil Collins which is how you know the vibe is lit.

Not only was the food lovely, the staff could not have been more accommodating in helping us with the particular requirements for our family meal. Wholeheartedly recommend.

We arrived at 12.30 yesterday, Friday 10th, having booked on line and had received confirmation. We were told no evidence of our booking. We asked if there was a table for 4 and were told we could sit in bar area and order at bar. The bar area was most unwelcoming, cold and lacking in atmosphere. One other person there also said it was cold. Two starters came for friends, along with our mains at same time! Delay in certain items. Unpleasant attitude of receptionist.

One of the best real cask ale spots in Bedfordshire. A lovely pub with really nice welcoming staff. The atmosphere is great and a wide selection of beers and ales to choose from!

The best in everything they serve! The fish and chips are great , big juicy cod and perfect chips . You cant go wrong with any of the meat kebabs all high quality meat cooked perfectly :-) the ampthill special kebab will feed two hungry people !

Food isn't bad most of the time if hugely overpriced, air con is pretty abysmal in the hotter months. Staff work their socks off but clearly the management are absolutely clueless. Constantly hear arguments and you can tell the staff get disheartened from it. Just a shame that the management clearly only care about the bottom line and not staff wellbeing and happiness. In conclusion, go for food if money is not an issue but by no means work there and as a guest be prepared for some Jeremy Kyle sideshow at times.

Dropped in here today to have a drink & a bit to eat whilst having a debriefing meetin with a colleague, i had a frappe & panini, The staff were friendly & smiling, always a good start, the place is relaxed & clean with ample seating, the frappe & panini were nice, wish they did a bigger frappe but thats my fault as i seem addicted to them during the summer,lol, We were able to talk without disturbing others & unlike some establishments like this they didn’t seat you so your almost on someone else’s table, the table spacing gave you your own personal space,

Después de haber oído hablar de esta camioneta alrededor de Bedford, hicimos un punto de rastrearlo para probar su fayre, me alegro de haberlo hecho. Mi esposa optó por un Bacalao grande y papas fritas pequeñas, que se servía en pipas calientes con una encantadora masa crujiente y un suculento pescado servido con papas fritas para morirse, sal y vinagre añadido al placer, elegí los bocados de Bacalao ya que no tenía demasiada hambre y mirando el Bacalao rebozado grande me hizo pensar en similares pero más pequeños, de nuevo servido en pipas calientes con una generosa porción de papas fritas pequeñas. En general tan bueno si no mejor que lo mismo de una tienda de pescado y patatas fritas.

This was an amazing visit - the best scrambled egg on toast I have ever tasted. Latte was good & pot of tea excellent. Superb service .

Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast since the new owners have taken over! Decent cask ale location serving Tim Taylor’s Landlord. One of the best beef roast dinners I’ve ever had at a decent price! Compliments to the chef!
