The best restaurants in Ampthill Central Bedfordshire East of England

A very busy Coffee Shop, with lovely cakes, milkshakes and of course coffee. Saturday morning and not a spare table to be had outside, nor on ground level inside. This large coffee shop was exceedingly popular despite plenty of competition. The five of us sat downstairs and enjoyed our visit, food and drink. Would definitely return. A 10 minute queue did not spoil the occasion.

Dropped in here today to have a drink & a bit to eat whilst having a debriefing meetin with a colleague, i had a frappe & panini, The staff were friendly & smiling, always a good start, the place is relaxed & clean with ample seating, the frappe & panini were nice, wish they did a bigger frappe but thats my fault as i seem addicted to them during the summer,lol, We were able to talk without disturbing others & unlike some establishments like this they didn’t seat you so your almost on someone else’s table, the table spacing gave you your own personal space,

We recently had breakfast at Sunnyside. The service was friendly and efficient (Sharon) and the food was really good. Everything came to the table quickly and as ordered. The portions are ample and the coffee is delicious. We have never been disappointed at Sunnyside! Great little restaurant!

Bienvenida amable de la camarera, pero eso fue tan bueno como se puso. Los sándwiches eran horribles y me recordaban al paquete de 99 p que lamenté haber comprado en poundland hace un par de años. Capa muy delgada de huevo insípido en un orden y la gallina de coronación estaba hecha de carne delgada de oblea que se cortó en diminutos cuadrados. Muy extraño y como ningún otro que hubiera tenido antes. Incluso las patatas fritas estaban demasiado cocidas y de color marrón oscuro. Íbamos a probar el menú de la noche otro día, pero después de probar los bocadillos no creo que nos moleste.

Primera vez, pero no será la última. Vino con mi compañero a almorzar. Personal amable y acogedor. El servicio era genial, la comida era de calidad y grandes porciones. Realmente disfruté todo sobre esta pequeña joya de un pub del pueblo.

We always love playing at The White Hart and last night had the pleasure of DJing for Cassie & Alec's wedding. The venue is beautiful and we used our rustic DJ booth to fit in with the lighting and vibe. All the staff are really cool and helpful and we had a blast!!

So disappointed.. after using this restaurant for over 25 yrs .. eat in And take out .. I am sad to say we won’t be using again. Has it changed hands? We had a delivery tonight .. it was 15 mins later than the maximum stated time despite the fact that we are a 5 min walk away. We had tandoori mixed grill and tandoori king prawn. The portions weren’t great not like they used to be. The salad between 2 dishes was a couple of slices of ice berg lettuce- no cucumber or tomato and 1 tiny piece of onion. The garlic naan as insipid… dry and might as well have been plain . With 3 other Indians in Ampthill why would I choose this one again . I’m sad as it was always the best .

The cottage bakery made a birthday cake for my daughters 8th Birthday. It was made exactly to my specification with matching cupcakes to go with it. My daughter loved the design and both the cake and cupcakes tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend.
