Have been going here for years and have noticed a downtown recently. The bacon and sausage baguettes are still good but today we decided to have the “fluffy pancakes and seasonal fruit “ for £8.50. I can honestly say these were the worst pancakes I have ever had! They were definitely not freshly made, they were thin, hard and stale and barely warmed probably in the microwave , the fruit was frozen berries. For £8.50 they were inedible and I was not happy so I went to the kitchen and politely gave feedback and I was completely ignored! Also the “regular “ coffee is so small and the large is actually a regular. Very disappointed.

The coffee has definitely been changed within recent months, realty poor quality coffee which means whenever we go now we have soft drinks only, such a shame as it used to be really great coffee! 😔

This was an amazing visit - the best scrambled egg on toast I have ever tasted. Latte was good & pot of tea excellent. Superb service .

Throughly recommend their Tapas evenings on Thursday and Fridays throughout the Summer. Absolutely delicious and a very reasonable price. Outside eating only but on a summer evening it’s a lovely setting in Ampthill Country Park. We will be back. Also a nice place to grab a coffee, cake and ice cream after walking the dog around the picturesque park. Oh and our dog, Roo likes their Pupachinos.

Had two coffees and two Cornetto's. Had to take the latter back as cones were both soft and soggy. Replacements no better so binned cones and just squeezed ice cream out to eat. Upon leaving, advised staff again that cones were not crisp but soggy and was told we'd left them on the table too long (3-4 minutes) when in fact the batch must have been poorly stored or freezer too warm. We've been going to this coffee place for years (well before the current occupiers took over) so as loyal customers wouldn't expect this poor level of customer service. I wasn't even asking for any cash back but merely advising that the storage of the ice cream be checked!

I have been here a few times and always been impressed by the service and the food. The menu is not extensive, but I have tried it all and it's all great. There is also a small selection of cakes which change every time. However, today when I visited I was so disappointed. The seating area at the patio level is surrounded by loads of large (open) rubbish bins. They are full, and attract a lot of wasps. Therefore all the tables on the patio level were covered in wasps, and we did not want to eat our food whilst being bothered by them. So we chose to sit on a table on the edge of the grass. We were told we could not sit there and eat food bought from the Coffee Lodge. That is just weird. Surely I can eat my food wherever I like, particularly when I am the only customer? I reluctantly moved to one of the other tables, but after two minutes of battling wasps, I gave up. I emptied my food into a takeaway box and took it further afield. I could understand choice of table being important if it was busy and if there was a sign telling me where I was allowed to sit and eat. The attitude of the serving staff made me feel very uncomfortable, and I felt very told off. One of the staff shouted at me "we can't do anything about the wasps". Well, you could try having less bins right next to where the food is served, for a start.

Tapas night on a warm Friday was really good. With no expectations for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised, the food variety and quality of food and the service was great. We'll be back!

If you are looking for a quality coffee around the Ampthill area then look no further. Forget your generic high street brand and go to The Coffee Lodge I’m Ampthill Park. The staff were friendly and helpful with service also being really quick. The food was also amazing with loads of choices for sweet options, I was spoilt for choice. The chocolate orange aero brownie was amazing. Gooey and soft and so tasty. It’s also in a great location to pick up a coffee and go for a walk. Dog friendly as well I simply can’t praise them highly enough.

I’ve been to this lodge 3 times now. The first time was long ago barely rememberable. Few weeks ago we came here with friends after a dog walk and the coffee was lovely however my wife and friends were verbally attacked by the manager when they tried to raise the parasol at the bench to get out of the sun. I heard him shout at them to not touch it because members of the public have broken 8 already. He could have politely asked them if he can do it for them. The next encounter we had, was last night. We had gone to the EAT festival as we have done the last 3 occasions it’s been on and then gone to eat at the lodge’s bench’s as there is no where else really to sit. The manager again came out and stated to everyone that we shouldn’t be sat on his benches in quite a loud manner. This man does not come across polite whatsoever. Everyone seemed to shift to move and then he said “no, you can stay for now” what was the point then? Just wanted to be an a*se. Everyone stayed and he came back later again saying the same stuff except this time adding that he had to be seen to be doing it on the CCTV. Come on, who is watching the cctv to make sure this guy is telling people to move on but then saying to stay. Again, another way he could of gone about this is to offer all parties some drinks from the lodge so therefor us becoming customers and this issue not being there. Maybe in future he needs to put out a sign rather than just throwing his weight around.

The aroma of golden-fried chicken fills the air, promising a delicious experience. A crispy, seasoned crust gives way to tender, juicy meat. Each bite is a burst of savory flavor, a comforting and satisfying sensation. This classic dish is a perfect example of simple ingredients transformed into something extraordinary. It's a meal that brings joy and contentment with every mouthful.

Sunday roast was terrible, potatoes dice size hard and inedible vegetables went cold very quickly and meat tough (what little there was of it) won't be going back
