I stopped in here on the way home, with my daughter and two friends and we felt welcomed immediately… The facilities were clean and checked regularly… The service was quick and we were greeted with a friendly smile. The atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating to someone with a young child. The food was lovely and the staff are friendly, & even made me laugh. Will be stopping in again soon.

Took my two nephews here for an evening meal where the bar staff politely and patiently took their orders was great for my nephews confidence :) Then we sat in the restaurant playing games at our table while we waited for our meals which came out faster than expected and were very yummy that we sent back empty plates and ordered desserts and another round of drinks. After our yummy desserts my nephews spotted the pool table and they were welcomed by the staff to play. They had such a great time that they have requested to go back every weekend! Thank you very much to Zoe & Dale for making my nephews feel so welcomed and included, was indeed a great confidence boost for them both.

Come by today for some lunch and was served by the amazing Zoe! Her service was nothing less than perfect, she recommended some amazing cocktails and the food was absolutely brilliant. It was honestly a pleasure, we will definitely be returning. A massive thank you to Zoe for making us feel so welcomed. Great place & even better staff!

Came here for a family birthday meal with my wife and kids .. food was delicious and service was excellent as always. Will return again soon.

I was extremely disappointed with the service at Ewe and Lamb. While they advertise themselves as child-friendly, our experience didn’t reflect that. Our children, who were being supervised by an adult and encouraged to sit quietly, were told off twice for simply moving around. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere, and we felt unwelcome as a family. Because of this, we ended up leaving early and didn’t order dessert or an additional round of drinks as we’d planned. I hope they reconsider how they handle situations involving families, as the experience left us reluctant to return. we brought colouring books, stickers and cars to occupy them. Crayons were provided. They could not remain seated for the duration of the wait and eating the meal. They were not loud at any time. No one complained. Infact, customers commented on the fact the children had been told to stop walking/running around twice by the staff. X2 adults were happy with their meal however my meal was cold. Food is fairly priced but we will not be returning

We’ve been coming here for a few weeks, on a Wednesday and we have not been disappointed. It was lovely for the staff, Luke, Micky and Sheila to introduce themselves to us. Zoe was not working tonight but she also introduced herself to us last week. The food always comes out fresh and piping hot. We shall be visiting every Wednesday for the foreseeable. Thank you guys

What a super, friendly place! Food was filling, plentiful and cheap! I ordered the chicken and ham pie, which was delicious and I scoffed the lot! A heartfelt thank you to Shelia, who made me the best cocktail ever! To Caroline and James the chef, we loved the food and hospitality 🥰

Been here a few times and each time is met with great service, friendly staff and HOT and tasty food!! It's so rare to go to a restaurant and receive your food HOT! the Ewe and Lamb keeps doing it well. Good selection of drinks and plenty of places to sit. Sports on TV and a big car park. What more do you need? Great job! 👏👏👏👏👏👍

What a great place . So there was plenty of parking spaces. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, they gave us the freedom to choose where we sat. The venue is quite small but it was clean, and there was a calming atmosphere. There was a sport area , which I would image can get very busy. The food we order was great, there was a great selection of food and the sirloin steak was cooked perfectly, which has been an issue we us at other venues. I would definitely recommend taking a visit and we will definitely be returning. Thank you guys for a great experience,

I have had the Fish & Chips previous and its always been very good. On this occasion it was hard to find the actual fish? Lovely crispy batter as per usual though.

A wonderful welcome as always from Kerry, Dale, Sheila, James and of course Caroline. Stopped over in our motorhome with Fin, our dog. Thank you for treating us as family. You create a truly welcoming atmosphere. You are all a real credit to Greene King. We will see you again soon.

Average food but not an average price, people swearing out loud drunk during early afternoon & as the staff couldn't care about that I told them myself to stop swearing as I had my 2 young grandchildren with me which in all fairness they did so & told the problem individual to show some respect for other people,he then staggered out of the pub into the carpark where he proceeded to get into his van & drive out onto the road, would not recommend this establishment & will not return.As with regards to your reply to my review there is nothing that you can do for me to change the situation & circumstances ongoing at your public house it is what it is & I have no intention of returning,the resolution is within,a simple matter of preventing unruly behaviour of occurring.

Everything was great apart from my lasagne was like a rock it was overdone. But the lovely lady bringing our food out quickly sorted it out for me. Her name was Sheila and she is the reason I will go back there. Her customer service skills are amazing. The man Dale serving behind the bar was also lovely and helpful.

We hadn't been in many years and decided to try it again after hearing good things. We were not disappointed. Bar staff were friendly and Chatty. The food was cooked very well and tasty. Place was clean. We would definitely come back again

After not visiting for a long time to the poor food and service, I have to say its really improved! The food I had was cooked well and very enjoyable, especially for the good price. The service was fantastic and you can tell they are working hard to keep a good standard. The only downside for me is the football being on TV, although if you're into it I can see it would be enjoyable.

Needs decorating inside and outside. Green King should be ashamed. Food average but not a lot on the plate. Won't be going again

Spent New Years Eve here with 3 friends. The food was amazing, the service was always friendly and very efficient, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We all had such a good time and will definitely be visiting more often!! Thankyou to all the staff. You should be very proud of yourselves xx

Having had a phenomenal Christmas Day dinner we visited again today and the chef James did not disappoint! The roast potatoes are the highlight! Roast dinners were excellent!

myself and my family, have been long term customers of this pub for many ,many years ( from when it was first a pub ) , we have had many a birthday meal , Christmas meal , our late grandmother and grandfathers wake have been held here . Over the years we have been loyal locals and always thought of our local pub first in any of our family plans ..... until recently... we had a table booked and confirmed for our elderly fathers birthday on new year's eve afternoon, the ewe and lamb a couple of days later cancelled, explaining that the person that booked it has left & shouldn't have, as its a big booking and they can't accommodate for this on such a day .... we understood this , and reduced the numbers and booked online at similar times separate tables ( the tables were free ) We followed the bookings with a phone call to the ewe and lamb said we were fine with being served as separate tables , and not all at once ( all that matters to us is to make a nice day for our father ) . The lady at the ewe and lamb was happy ,and said see you all tomorrow.... we offered to pay a deposit ( she said it wasn't needed ). Tonight at 9 pm ( the night before) we all get an email cancelling our bookings! We rang the pub again only to be told the manager that cancelled them has gone home & although it was 2 minutes after our tables got cancelled, the tables are all full ! This is very unprofessional and as a family we feel very let down by the ewe and lamb ! I understand this is a busy time of year , but we have never had this problem at any point throughout the years ! And at no point have we asked for special treatment, They have ruined my father's birthday, the same customer & family that have stuck by you for years ! Rest assured we will no longer be visiting or recommending the ewe and lamb to anyone.

Came in briefly on a Saturday afternoon and it was very chaotic. We brought our small dog. After wandering around both entrances for a bit wondering if we needed to wait to be seated, an older lady behind the bar told me my dog is allowed to be by the entrance but not in the restaurant. So we left. Not dog friendly at all.

I adore this place. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and helpful. The atmosphere is great, sometimes busy, sometimes quieter, but it's always lovely. I highly recommend it. Bring your friends, or bring your family, it suits Everybody xxx

Lovely place for a drink, nice atmosphere but I ordered Scampi and chips, a standard plate and the portion was very disappointing. Even the waitress commented at how tight it was. Very poor.

Very friendly family oriented pub. It's run by Greene King so the range is fairly standard but it means when you're catering for vegetarians and people with allergies it's reliably safe. The staff are really very friendly, chatty, and bend over backwards to help out. Live music and quizzes in the evenings apparently, and there's also a wheelchair accessible car park.

Always have a decent meal. Have been coming here for years. Nice staff too. Often pop in for a drink too.

Pleasant pub/restaurant. Friendly team, good selection of drinks, nice environment, food was ok. Not as nice as I expected but that's my opinion. Definitely go back as there's plenty more to try on the menu Just gutted there's no more Pina colada!! 🤷😁👍

First time using this Pub. Booked a table for 2,day before, arrived a bit early, all good. Ordered food and beer. The food was great, service excellent, just have to get a better Glass washer ooops.

We tried the new menu today. Really recommend the Pulled mushroom chilli. It is delicious. You don’t need to be a vegan, vegetarian to enjoy it. Not overly spicy thank goodness, as I am not too good with chilli heat, but had bags of flavour and depth. Served with beautifully soft avocado. Thank you to the head chef for recommending it. Hubby had the Katsu curry which also went down very well. We are looking forward to trying out the new lunch menu tomorrow. 😋

Good friendly service but the food was very poor, i know the food is reasonably priced here but i still expect something that is remotely edible. i ordered the Fish and chips, i got a plate of batter with stale chips and peas that tasted off, i needed a microscope to actually find any fish within the rock hard batter. Very very poor experiance i am sorry to say. I was given a refund .

Went here today with my elderly mum... From the get go, the staff were very attentive, offered us alternate seating as we potentially were in a draughty area... Food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious!!! Dessert was just as good as the mains .... I was also really surprised and happy with cost of the meal, given today's economic climate. Overall, I can't fault the service, food or entire experience. Well done everyone, we'll definitely be back.

Lovely pub, great service, cheap drinks. It attracts a sports crowd as well as locals so there’s always a group who feel their conversation should be heard by the rest of the pub! Ample parking, clean toilets, lots of seating and space at the bar. Definitely worth checking out for a week night drink.

Nice pub staff always so friendly and work so hard went on a busy Sunday and still didn't have to wait long fast friendly and efficient and clean would definitely recommend the roast.

Friendly staff wheelchair users do have to enter front of building I managed through back because I used crutches good value for money

Dunno what happened today. After initial fiasco with the bill and using my blue light card being less of a discount than the 2 meals for £12.49, my food and the service wasn't the best. No knives and forks, except the dirty one on the table when we arrived, had to wait ages after going to search for them myself. They failed to tell me that half my meal was missing with no coleslaw or onion rings, so I asked for popcorn cauliflower instead, needless to say it never did arrive. My hunters chicken was not much bigger than a chicken nugget. A shame as this is my local, but it won't be for a while. Disappointed.

Was visiting family who live nearby. Went in and confirmed that they accepted CAMRA cards. So I ordered a pint of Greene King IPA. Got my 10% discount. Then landlady/ barmaid took additional discount off. £2.34 a pint. Bargain. Stopped for a second pint and still same price. Bargain. They do food but I ate at my sister's. Would recommend.

I used to love going here for a meal but i have moved to Lincolnshire but the ewe and lamb is excellent 👌 recommended
