The best restaurants in Thorpe St Andrew South East Broadland East of England

Finally visited and can't wait to return. Wonderful service from really friendly staff. Delicious Thai lunch. Sitting by the river in the sun. What more could you want. It's just such a lovely spot. Search it out, it's worth it. But there's only a couple more days of the season. We'll have to be patient and wait for the spring to return. Can't wait!

Edited my review on this and marked down. Food isn't to bad in there but had a large takeaway fr there for 6 people the other night and every dish just looked cut back for takeaway, so much sauce the chicken was drowning. If you get takeaway and do t eat int he restaurant the quality just isnt as good, please sort it out as this used to be my favourite Indian. I will be going to the Raj of India next time

The New Posh Menu is splendid. The old menu was great if you wanted a meal deal or a reasonably priced lunch and that is still available. Now, in addition, Dave has created a Michelin star type menu for us foodies. Among the new delights are harissa salad,oysters,cromer crab various steaks and my favourite whole sea bass.This beautifully cooked and I suspect locally sourced fish comes with usual and 'Heritage' beetroot,slightly sweeter and more fragrant. Nicely presented salad and succulent saute potatoes.Well worth the price. Ithouroughly reccommend you try it. Welcome back Dave.

Have been to The Terrace a few times over the last couple of months with both friends and family. It’s a lovely place, staff brilliant, very friendly and efficient. The drinks and food we had were perfect, my favourite place to go for hot chocolate in Norwich.

Came for works Christmas lunch £25 for 2 courses, I had pate starter this came with a large white roll no butter or garnish, I then had the Roast Turkey, this came with carrots which were cold, sprouts a parsnip and roast potatoes all the vegetables were frozen and tasteless and the turkey to me looked like turkey roll?? There was no cranberry sauce!! The staff were scruffy and the person serving our table did not have an apron on, no one came and asked us if everything was alright or if we need anything. No table service for drinks we were put on two tables to which we asked if we could move it and were told there wasn't enough space?? We ended up moving it ourselves so we could all sit together!! We were a party of 17 paying £25 per person for a frozen meal extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend this pub for food. I didn't eat mine as I was dubious how clean the kitchen was after seeing the staff that brought it out, total rip off!!

Very nice place. Shame about the service, staff were very friendly but unfortunately couldn't cope with amount of customers, hence our order not once but 3 times either came out wrong or missed. There was a wedding & 2 parties there at the same time we were, perhaps they needed to have only taken a few public booking or none at all to cope the the volume. May try again & hopefully they will either have more staff or not so much going on.

Mark and mandy were friendly and chatty as were all the staff. Food was nice would be better if there were more choice of veg like normal cabbage and broccoli instead of pickled red cabbage (can't really moan at the moment as only £6 instead of £9.50)

We've been here many time and have never had an issue. Pub grub style restaurant, fish & chips, pies and Sunday roast type of menu. Friendly staf , good service and pleasant atmosphere.

We considered both the River Garden and the Rush Cutters and decided unanimously on the River Garden. We visited for a post Christmas meal with friends. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere was friendly, pleasant and the food was really nice. The pub was decorated well, needs a bit of love in places but its a proper old pub!. We had a really nice time! This is the third time I have visited this year and the third time we have enjoyed ourselves.
