We liked this place and would have made it a more regular haunt until we were turned away because they already had a table of four and a table of five to serve! So ??? We are just two, were in no rush, would have been happy to wait a while and have a drink at the bar. Owner handled the occasion badly, poor attitude and we have not been back since. Shame, as food is good.

I have found going to East hills Bakery and cafe to be a really hit or miss experience. I went mid October with my friends and had a really lovely time. The blonde woman at the till was really friendly and we had no problems with the service. Though we only ordered drinks. However, I did buy a loaf of bread to take home (I didn't check the date as I assumed that a bakery would have fresh loaves). I discovered that the date on the bread was for the following day. It had visible mould through at least 5 slices. I did not complain because I thought this had been my mistake. I also went with family today. There were 5 of us and we ordered drinks and food together. The drinks were relatively quick, however the food took ages. For a bakery that mainly services cakes, baps and waffles, they seem to only be able to make waffles one at a time. Two of us ordered the vegan sausage rolls and as we asked for them cold we assumed they would be quick to be plated. We waited for nearly half an hour. After the last waffle plate arrived I asked about them and our server said they were on their way. More time passed. I then went up to the bar and thought if I just hung around and looked like I was waiting then they might be quicker. The server said she'd bring them to my table so I sat down again. When they were eventually delivered they were warm round the outside so they clearly had been heating them. Upon eating it the vegan sausage was fridge cold on the inside! I decided as they were vegan to just eat them at I didn't want to wait another half an hour. The Bakery are also frequently missing stock of items. Today they were missing: oat milk, bananas (for waffles), gluten free cakes, gluten free shortbread for the gluten free strawberry shortbread waffle. Though they did not tell us about the latter until it was at our table. We received no discount for this.

Food, non EXISTENT........ but they are happy to give you a plate, knife & fork if you want to bring food into the pub !!! So I'll order food elsewhere & get it delivered........ how weird is that !! If I wanted to get a take away, I'd order one, go to the shop, grab a couple of tinnies & stay at home. This is the whole point of going to a pub..... couple of pints & food. As for the geezer that runs the place..... ..... god help us !!!!! Sort ya lives out.

We went one Christmas so booked a Sunday lunch. Walked in and was told place was now closed - no contact at all. Told we could go to another one in Norwich but it was rammed and food all gone. VERY disappointed. Place was excellent and staff brilliant. It will be missed

The Reedcutters was the mid point on our walk while holidaying in Norfolk. We had a warm welcome and a substantial lunch, good old fashioned pub grub. No complaints at all, it's a 'what you see is what you get' kind of pub, nothing fancy but friendly, clean and good value 👍

Waited about 20 minutes to get a portion of fish and chips this evening. I've recently moved back to the area having lived in Brundall as a teenager. The fish and chips here used to be excellent. I'm guessing it's changed hands as the shop looked dilapidated, signs for cash only everywhere which just looked tacky and crass and after the long wait the fish was burned, as in the batter was black on the outside, I've never seen that before in my life. I even worked in a chippy for years as a teenager and never once saw burnt batter. That's my first and last trip in a long time I think.
