Great food great service and the manager Andrew is a great welcoming host of the place 10/10 would recommend

Was told by restaurant that there was no need to preorder our menu choices, so drove the 1hr and 20 minutes to get to Norwich, booked a hotel opposite the pub so myself and partner could have a drink to get inside and be told what we wanted was sold out. Staff slated each other in front of us saying ‘they could have told us stock was low’ and ‘he’s going to check if there anymore but it will take him half hour would be quicker to go myself’ We left in the end, no food, no drink and now where to go as it’s on the out skirts of Norwich. It ruined our weekend as i would have booked a city centre hotel had I had any inclination that what we wanted to order would be sold out - be prepared to be very disappointed!

We went there as a last minute decision. The staff were pleasant and the food was Okay. It is what it is.

I go on a regular basis, staff are always lovely, the food is always cooked to perfection and it’s a lovely restaurant to go to with your family or friends.

Great meal for 10 of us last night. Atmosphere was great watching the football and having some drinks and food. Food was good quality for a good price. Individually a big shout out to Micheal who was serving us. Smile on his face with a great attitude all night. He even threw some jokes in when clearing up the table which were brilliant and well received.

Popped on for a bite to eat and a quick drink as passing on way home will definitely be returning and would be more than happy to bring the whole family despite it being busy service was very quick and Michelle on the bar was very welcoming and polite as were the other staff but didn't get their names Michael was very welcoming which made our experience a whole lot better as my wife suffers from very bad anxiety but she agrees we will be returning Michael was so very funny and chatty which made it all the better was more like a family atmosphere than a bar / restaurant love this place and will definitely revisiting staff are brilliant and we was made to feel very welcome many thanks Duane and Sandra xx

Nice atmosphere, food very good and served quickly

Had a meal this evening at fieldfare in Norwich, food was lovely and very hot, we were sat near the kitchen and the language coming from there was absolutely disgusting, the amount of swearing was unacceptable, luckily we didn't have children with us, very disappointed, the kitchen staff,( 1 female in particular) really let the place down.

We’ve had several really bad experiences at Hungry Horse in the past. Unfortunately, we decided to try again some time later and it wasn’t great. The mains came out nice and quick and food was okay but sadly it was downhill from there. We ordered two large Americanos which didn’t seem to arrive before the mains. After asking a staff member, we received two small white coffees (we don’t have dairy). They took them back and then never returned. After asking again, we received the coffees towards the end of our mains. After mains, we sat for almost 40 minutes waiting for our deserts which never seemed to be coming (presumably because they weren’t collecting our mains away so they didn’t know to bring them). Confusingly, an array of staff members kept looking in our direction but never tended to us. Eventually, we had to flag down a staff member to clear away our mains and bring the deserts. I would recommend avoiding any Hungry Horse establishment as it is painfully slow service.

I come to this restaurant from time to time for breakfast, but today was probably the worst experience I have had here. I usually order via the app so I don't have to queue at the bar, but was unable to order exactly what I wanted due to an extra not being visible in the list of options. But as there were a few people queuing already and no member of staff to be seen, I had to order via the app anyway and settle for not having the extra item (I wanted to order scrambled eggs on toast with a side of baked beans but no option to do this). The food did actually arrive quickly but the food is often not as hot as it should be, and today was no exception. However the most annoying thing was the scrambled egg was served on unbuttered toast with a little dish of butter on the side. So I had to scrape all of the eggs off the toast, butter it, and then put the eggs back on. I do not understand why it would be served like this, if there is a reason for it at least give people the option to choose. I have given this place enough chances to get things right, and won't be coming here again any time soon.

Lovely manager who greeted us and showed us to our table. He then helped us with drinks to the table while others served. Great customer care by all staff even though they were short staffed. Well Done!

Clean tidy, staff lovely, answered all question found best option for my food restricted child even though they were short staffed on a bank holiday weekend. Love this place anyway but they went the extra mile even though they were short staffed, manager was lovely when we arrived got us to the table quickly and even helped us to the table with drinks, while staff served other people

Main meals were yummy just avoid the dry donut horse shoe service was brilliant. Favourite place to go good price with decent portions. Even a waiter with a host of jokes. Brilliant

Reasonable service, apart from the chap who seems to think he's a part time comedian using customers as his personal audience and test subjects. I am pretty sure he kept a notepad with his bad jokes on behind the bar. Heard him tell the same bad joke three times to different tables. Bacon was thick but stringy. Sausages were cooked, but weedy. Egg yoke looked like it had been hard boiled, not sure how you do that when an egg is fried. Bread was tough on the outside. Butter frozen solid. Mushrooms tasted tinned. Beans cheap quality.

Friendly staff, food is great value for money with generous portions and never had any issues with it. It can get a bit loud when the football is on but otherwise it's a nice place to dine any time of the day.

After a not so great visit a couple of weeks ago and speaking with the manager we returned this evening and had a much better experience The manager on duty was very helpful and took our order and explained what wasn't available before ordering which was fine for us. Server Micheal was also amazing, helpful and really friendly. Our meal was fine, came out hot and tasted fine. We had a better visit this time and would consider again in the future.

Had an amazing experience at this pub, every member of staff we encountered was welcoming and friendly, food was excellent, timings were even better. So, so impressed with this place and highly recommend a visit.

Michael is our regular server who looks after us each week. Service is good and we don't have issues with our orders. Usually a table is free.

I had the chicken wrap and chips and my other half had the mixed grill then I had the millionaire cheesecake but had ice cream as you don't supply normal whipped cream and more and the other half had the candymaina but needed more in it as didn't seem much.

Came just after 11am and had the Steak and Ale pie, They did not have mash resulting in me having chips which made it a subpar meal to what i expect, the price was good the staff were friendly and the meal arrived to me fast, Will not return unless i get my meal as actually advertised,

I’ve visited this restaurant a few times recently, I can’t stay away! The atmosphere is incredible. The staff are amazing and well motivated always going extra mile for the customer. I spoke to manager Hanner with my visit today, he is very chatty and friendly, It’s been an absolute pleasure eating here and I’ll be back very soon!

Fieldfare is a fantastic pub. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and great deals on food and drink. The free pool is fantastic, as an avid pool player this was great for me! Definitely would recommend this pub!

What can I say about this place other than the entire team is so awesome!! They’re fantastic and I can’t wait to come back! This is the best food and atmosphere I’ve had in Norwich and I’ve been to a lot of places. If you want cheap, tasty food, get here now!! Congratulations to the who team for surpassing my expectations time and time again. This has to be due to the fantastic attention to detail of the manager. Been her 4 times and will continue to keep coming back! Thank you guys!!

Sitting here now in the Hungry Horse (Fieldfare) having just had a lovely Full English breakfast and latte - at a very good price under £9. Service excellent. Couldn't do enough for me. Atmosphere great with Sky Sports on and very relaxing. Will definitely come here again. About to order another latte. Highly recommend this place. Michael serving was brilliant.

Prompt service, food well prepared as usual, good value for money

I visited with my friend on Tuesday for the 'mix it up' deal. The food was excellent, the chicken skewers are very tasty. Staff were very accomoddating and friendly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Highly reccommend :)

Popped in for a snack and drink. Playground is good for children with plenty of seating however table numbers not clear at all. Not a lot of staff working and wait times were high and staff could be heard arguing behind bars about their break times. It is good value for money but won't be in any rush to go back.

Great service from the manager Hanner, always very friendly, funny, chatty and willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Will be back every time I can for the great service and value the staff put in to everything they do. Definitely worth the trip.

Took the grandkids for lunch on the half term week. Very busy but service was excellent. Good value for money. All the staff worked hard but thanks to Michael for his dedication to service with a chat and a smile.

Service a little slow but good food

I come here very often with my friend for a drink & food occasionally and I must admit service is amazing! Team member Michael is always very welcoming and friendly. Always here to help & assist. Staff at the bar are very efficient and helpful and any request is not too much trouble. So if you are looking for a nice place to have some food or eat out definitely recommend Fieldfare.

We went for dinner with my girlfriend last Wednesday, February 5th, and it was a truly special experience. The place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. The dishes and drinks were well-prepared and full of flavor. The staff was courteous and always attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The pub’s cleanliness and organization also stood out, making our visit even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it!
