Fieldfare is a fantastic pub. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and great deals on food and drink. The free pool is fantastic, as an avid pool player this was great for me! Definitely would recommend this pub!

What can I say about this place other than the entire team is so awesome!! They’re fantastic and I can’t wait to come back! This is the best food and atmosphere I’ve had in Norwich and I’ve been to a lot of places. If you want cheap, tasty food, get here now!! Congratulations to the who team for surpassing my expectations time and time again. This has to be due to the fantastic attention to detail of the manager. Been her 4 times and will continue to keep coming back! Thank you guys!!

Sitting here now in the Hungry Horse (Fieldfare) having just had a lovely Full English breakfast and latte - at a very good price under £9. Service excellent. Couldn't do enough for me. Atmosphere great with Sky Sports on and very relaxing. Will definitely come here again. About to order another latte. Highly recommend this place. Michael serving was brilliant.

I visited with my friend on Tuesday for the 'mix it up' deal. The food was excellent, the chicken skewers are very tasty. Staff were very accomoddating and friendly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Highly reccommend :)

Reasonable food, but many unknown limitations on Tesco vouchers

Popped in for a snack and drink. Playground is good for children with plenty of seating however table numbers not clear at all. Not a lot of staff working and wait times were high and staff could be heard arguing behind bars about their break times. It is good value for money but won't be in any rush to go back.

Normally we attend and have no issues however we attended today for my sons birthday and we didn't enjoy it so much. I specifically made request when ordering that I was using 2 payment methods but could all meals come together, we had 2 roast dinners arrive (without a gravy boat) and then 5 minutes passed and when I asked female server she was abrupt and said (it is coming together they are still half way cooking the rest) 🙄 We then received 3 other meals and a good 5 minutes or so later the last remaining meal came which meat it was staggered so we didn't eat together. The staff seemed very rushed around however the venue was not even busy, plenty of spare tables. When we asked where the sauces were which states on menu serverd with sharing dish, the same female staff member said "they are in bottles, if you want them as stated on menu we just take bottles and squirt into dishes" then she placed 2 sauce bottles on the table, very rude and abrupt and made us feel unwelcome. It took a very very long time for our plates to be cleared, several staff walking by and even looking at them. I ended up placing them together at the end and having to ask someone to remove them. It was lovely for staff to accept our cake and light the candles, thank you :) However at the end, I asked one male member for 2 takeaway boxes to take cake home and was told he would get them - 10 minutes later after he walked past our table several times we still didn't have them, asked a 2nd male member of staff who said "of course I will get them now" - he then continued to walk back and forth past us without them and eventually when asked again stated "I'm doing about 4 jobs at once I'm busy" This again made us feel extremely unwelcome and overall none of us really enjoyed the experience. The wait times at the bar were extremely long and frustrating. It's somewhere we attend regular however it doesn't seem we would hurry to come back unfortunately.

Excellent customer service, got my drinks and food at a very fast speed, and the staff are lovely. Will definitely come back again! 🥳

Great service from the manager Hanner, always very friendly, funny, chatty and willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Will be back every time I can for the great service and value the staff put in to everything they do. Definitely worth the trip.

Service a little slow but good food

Took the grandkids for lunch on the half term week. Very busy but service was excellent. Good value for money. All the staff worked hard but thanks to Michael for his dedication to service with a chat and a smile.

I come here very often with my friend for a drink & food occasionally and I must admit service is amazing! Team member Michael is always very welcoming and friendly. Always here to help & assist. Staff at the bar are very efficient and helpful and any request is not too much trouble. So if you are looking for a nice place to have some food or eat out definitely recommend Fieldfare.

We went for dinner with my girlfriend last Wednesday, February 5th, and it was a truly special experience. The place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. The dishes and drinks were well-prepared and full of flavor. The staff was courteous and always attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The pub’s cleanliness and organization also stood out, making our visit even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it!

I have Been in many times for breakfast and meals, food is hot and plenty of it, they are always very accommodating to your needs here, especially michael, very polite and goes above and beyond and behind the bar the staff are so helpful to and patient if you come in with a large party of guest. Atmosphere is lively and busy. My favourite meal is the sizzling steak, although the breakfast is great too.

In a word awful. Very slow service, forgot 3 of our dishes and didnt ring one in. Took 40 minutes to get our deserts. Cutlery was dirty. Food was not very nice and over cooked. Toilets were disgusting to say the least. I will never be returning and the main kicker i spent nearly £300 and received this awful experience

I went for an evening meal with my family. What made a difference, was Andrew’s friendly welcome as soon as we entered the pub. Even though he was busy taking food to another table, he still made a point of asking whether we had a table and said that we could take a seat. When we placed our food order, a few things were unavailable but Andrew offered suitable alternatives. Throughout our meal, Andrew checked that we were happy with our meal and we felt he went that extra mile.

I had a wonderful dinner with my family at Fieldfare. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The food was delicious, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. What stood out the most was the excellent service. The staff was attentive and friendly. The manager was incredibly warm and went out of their way to make us feel special, checking in on us throughout the evening. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Devon? I think that's his name. Absolutely top lad. Remembered my name, my drink, my last small talk. Took an interest in asking me about the life events I'd briefly mentioned. Always has my drink half poured when I stand at the bar waiting to be served. An asset to the establishment.

Our waitress Freya was so lovely to us. Made sure our meals were okay and made us feel really looked after

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and the bar man was on his own, taking orders and serving the food. However this didn't stop him from being attentive and friendly and providing excellent service. Thank you Hanner.

Forget the negative reviews about staff shortage, it's not the Managers fault, it's Green King not giving him the financial support to be able to pay for extra staff. Went here boxing day with my family. The lady bringing out the food was absolutely lovely and welcoming. The food was served quickly and well prepared. The whole experience was great.

Warm and family friendly place, foods always good even more so for the prices they charge, when you think a mcdonalds is comparative to most of their meals. Don't know how people complain.

Came here with my family at last minute as hadn’t been out in a while to dine so we thought we would make an evening of it, I wish we hadn’t bothered it was rather busy which wasn’t the problem as we weren’t in a hurry what we did have a problem with was the manager we could tell he was flustered the way he was stomping about the restaurant with a face like thunder barking orders to his staff there are ways to speak to people and that’s not one our food arrived which we enjoyed and we heard people from the other table saying how the manager was rude to them and to another member of staff. The staff were working so hard and remained polite and helpful it was the manager that spoilt our experience if you don’t like the job then find another one we don’t come here to hear you moaning about your staff to customers getting on at them and walking around with attitude it’s not pleasant to see

So disappointed came in with my family including my in laws for food the new manager was just walking about doing nothing while his staff was running about busy. I didn’t like his attitude towards Michael in particular talking down to his staff and not even caring about the restaurant that he’s representing by being a manager as I felt rather humiliated after saying how lovely the place was to the in laws and seeing the lovely manager seli had been replaced by someone who doesn’t even treat his own staff with respect!! would love to see seli back he made the place the atmosphere was so much nicer with him there he was so polite and helpful unlike this new one. What a shame they changed the manager not sure I will return again now

Fieldfare norwich what a mistake booking up for me and the wife for Xmas day......and we're booked up with the family for new years day too. Short staffed and not even half full so they weren't that busy. Heard everyone complaining about waiting times, heard manager say to table next to me pc crashed so had to retake their order. I spent nearly £200 up front for both days meals. Our experience became so laughable for the amount of errors that we made a list!!! - which is gave to team leader. 30min wait from being seated to starter which was only a third full restaurant. Starter - Wives prawn starter had lettuce sitting on plate, no bread and butter underneath. My ham hock had no chutney and little butter, asked for more as pre warned when booked I have a throat condition-20min wait for butter- asked twice. So I ate on my own as wife had finished. Main course - wifes beans and potatoes nearly raw.... looked like the prawn were the same still flesh colour inside. Bearing in mind I booked with a throat condition. Ordered a rare steak that was med to well done - 20mins to replace so ate on my own again. Sweet - suley they couldn't go wrong with a frozen dessert, put on a plate and serve it? The sweet was still frozen the cherry's solid. Chill hit my bad tooth so could eat anymore. Each course had to get up and ask for cutlery as not served when brought to table. Not a team leader or manager asking if every thing was all right. Just one young barmaid trying to everything and coming up to see if your happy - she should be team leader, the only one that cared. Spoke to debhan team leader on way out and said I hope it's better and your staffed when we visit new years day with the family. Yours, a very un-happy customer Mr s.pannell

Came with 2 other people service was nearly non existent had to wait over 40 mins for food no fish for fish and chips no pitchers as was told they keep getting stolen if that is the case why don't they take pitchers off the menu. skeleton staff for very busy time of year However the food we had was good quality and we all had different dishes.

Food arrived promptly. Food was tasty and all of it was hot. Staff were pleasant and just the right amount of presence not pushy. Would recommend. Will go again.

The new manger half feels the drinks and is very rude about it talks to staff like there below him which made me feel very uncomfortable as my kids notice it jot a good experience

Updated review. Haven't been in a while. Whilst one member of staff here is great, friendly and infinitely helpful, another was blunt to the point of rude. Food took quite a while to arrive and when it did 2 dishes (Burger platters) were stone cold. We did get refunds for them but rather disappointing.

Went here for a work catchup. Listen, it's not Michelen but they have great deals and there was nothing to complain about. Special shout out to Michael, working the tables. He put a massive smile on our faces and was a credit to the restaurant, working his backside off with such a great attitude and excellent service. Thank you.

Cheap and cheerful, good selection of breakfast and lunch menus. Also great deals on particular days ranging from 2 for 1 burgers etc. you will have to check the menu as it might have changed. They show sports and also have a pool table so a great start before a night out !
