Unfortunately I found the food not great, the pineapple fritters were lumps of dough and the main savory dishes tasted strange. There was good service though.

We just order for seven people, 5 adults two children, tons of food, superb quality, we've all just said the best tasting for a long time from any Chinese takeaway, will 100% be returning, the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating with our extra requests, lovely thank you 😊

Fantastic service and excellent meal. Order was on time and delicious. I am annoyed by the negativity with some of the comments. We’ve been using Top Chef for ages and never any problems.

loved it. i went to the actual place instead of ordering online, maybe you guys should just go to the shop instead of ordering online because it naturally will take longer for the meal to arrive! the food tasted lovely 🥰 i had egg fried rice and prawn crackers, the crackers were very crispy and the rice was literally the best. idk what you guys put on it but i wanna know it’s SOO good!! as the portion sizes are pretty big, i shared an egg fried rice, but if you like to eat more, get your own portion. service was lovely. the owner came outside, very chatty and friendly, a teenage girl took our orders, also lovely and chatty. i don’t really know what there is to hate about this takeaway..

Probably the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had in 40 years. Bland food. Slimy chow mien. Batter not cooked properly on prawn balls. Avoid

We use this Chinese regularly and normally it’s nice. Tonight tho our rice was stone cold and our chow mien with chicken was just as bad, called up and was basically told oh well never mind!!!!!! Thanks. Our tea was vile. Now looking for a new Chinese if that’s how they look after regular customers.

Been getting takeaways from Top Chef for years and years but this was totally awful. Slimy chow mein, doughy and undercooked (yet very oily) pork balls, dry egg fried rice and stodgy and slimy sweet and sour sauce. The chow mein was so slimy it made me feel sick. Totally inedible. The service and the guy on the phone was very polite and the food was delivered quick but it was really horrible.

We have been using TopChef for a few years now. The last couple of take away have been below average food cold and not up to standard. It’s a shame as was really good and used every week for a long time. . Have they changed chef ad really gone down hill. Such a shame 🥵

i ordered at 6:15 precisely said to be delivered by 7:30 8:05 and still not been delivered!!!

The food was hot, and the person behind the counter was fab, but the noodles had no flavour, and the veg curry had too many veg in it and no sauce. Everything tasted ok, but nothing had any strong flavours Would use it again if my regular one was closed

Best Chinese in Norwich. Quick prep time, great quality food and fair prices. Staff are always friendly and welcoming too.

Excited as this was delivered quickly but it just didn't taste fresh. It was almost slimy. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Recently started using Top Chef and the food is lovely, always prompt and everyone here is extremely nice.

Absolutely fantastic service and food. The young lad on the phone is helpful and enthusiastic and has good knowledge about the food available Portion size is generous and the chips are just awesome! Highly recommended

Thought we would try this again but disappointed no flavour it was very dry and gave us what we didn’t order and the young lad didn’t give to hoots not again

Singapore vermicelli had no heat, and didn't taste woked...more like heated. House chow mein, again none of that aithentic wok flavour. Shredded crispy beef, lovley, bravo. Chips, good. Generous portions Lackluster curry sauce. Person taking orders.... lackluster. he didn't really care if I had the meal that would make me happy. simply there are too many decent Chineses to spend your money on lower quality take aways.

After using this place off and on for 30yrs I was sadly disappointed tonight,our order arrived wrong,when ringing to say it was wrong we was passed onto someone else,who told us we didn't add the missing items to the order,I said the guy read it back to us,it was on the order,he said he would reorder but at an extra cost to us and said would be with us as soon as possible,an hr later it still hadn't arrived so I rang to find out where it was and was just told it hasn't left the premises yet but give them 5mins and it will be on its way,I said that that was unacceptable that they've made us wait all this time,the rest of our food is now cold! His answer was thats not his fault that we didn't order the food right in first place!! I repeated what I'd said earlier and he talked over me saying he's not argueing with me,we didn't order it! I told him to forget his food,we will never use this place again. Disgusting attitude and customer service.

Great food at a good price. Can be a bit busy - cos it's good!

Used to bee the bees knees. Chips weren’t far off being cremated. Went in and ordered. Then for some reason my order was given to the take away driver. Luckily some one managed to save are food from being delivered to somebody else. Just before the driver left. A bit annoying after waiting for 45 mins

A great quality Chinese takeaway. Delivery is free if you're local and prompt, 30-40 minutes on a weekday.

Had sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style it was awful chewy unpleasant 1 piece out of 6was edible very poor I feel cheated

Can’t fault this place one bit. The food is always steaming hot, they are always so accommodating to substitutes/fussy orders we have! It’s always our go to and I don’t think we can change from it now as nothing compares to how good and friendly they are. Thank you!

First time used this place, wasn’t blown away as thought I would be based on reviews, was good, but not amazing on this occasion, will try again for sure and give another go, chips were a bit dry, getting used to another Chinese is probably the reason

Nice king prawn chow mein, plenty of it and good flavour, the beef in blackbean sauce is part good part bad, the sauce is excellent, and the onion and green pepper are perfectly cooked, but the beef is like chewing gum, i just couldn't chew it, it was like a lump of rubber in my mouth, not one piece was edible, i will go to Top Chef again, i will just avoid the rubbery beef.

Purchase favourite Chinese takeaway. Plus they know us so good to be greeted by a friendly hello Mr Williams when calling our order through. Highly recommended but can be busy at times. Not a bad thing mind you.

Placed an order last night. I used to order from Top chef regularly when I lived closer to them but in moving house I had started to order from other places closer to home. The food was AMAZING. We ordered a selection of dishes to have an almost buffet style selection, and every single dish was so fresh and delicious!!! Now this place is back on our radar and we will be ordering from them again in the future. Its so nice to know you have a takeaway that you can always rely on to be really good quality and something tk look forward to. They are really friendly on the phone too, lovely people! Thanks for the delicious food Top Chef!!

Just finished another fantastic meal from Top Chef. Was soooo nice we had to call them to say thank you! Brilliant telephone service, food quality and portion size and delivery driver is always so polite delivering piping hot food... well done Top Chef will be back soon.

Fast a d efficient. Food heated in microwaves. Not good especially for pork dishes!

Only tasty thing was salt n pepper chips. Chow main bland and flavourless with lack of ingredients the prawn balls were just batter! Definitely would not use again

Awful! Always known this isn't the best Chinese takeaway in the area but popped in as I was driving past. The food was horrible, tasted of chemicals and old cooking oil. Had to bin the food. I recommend Happy View on Ketts Hill, far better quality at a bit more of a price

First Chinese takeaway since moving to Norwich 6 months ago! Tasted nice and fresh and will go again. More expensive than our old Chinese takeaway and that was closer to London. Didn't expect that!! Will just have to order less🙄

One of the better value take aways in the area. The food is usually good although can be a little disappointing on the odd occasion. The staff are friendly, there is plenty of room to wait but parking is limited and hard to get a spot at busy times. Delivery is usually within 45 minutes but could vary if they’re busy. Drivers are polite and courteous.

Best Chinese locally. Never long wait and food is top notch. Never has a bad meal.

Never answers the phone so always end up ordering else where. Lived round the corner for 4 years now and never had a menu through the door. No menu online and not on just eat etc.. given up trying...

Rather than go to our closest Chinese take-away, we drive 10 minutes to Top Chef. Of all the ones we've tried locally, this is our favorite Chinese place. They have delicious food (and are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions when possible). Our order is always ready promptly for our pick-up. The service is efficient and friendly. I have only good things to say. Highly recommended!

Great food with loads of flavour and the boxes are evenly packed with meat and veg not loads of veg like other takeaways.
