This a great place for meeting friends or family. Easy parking. Food good value and reasonably priced. The waiter Michael made us feel very welcome in a very busy restaurant. A large family group was near us and good to see how well staff interacted the children. Thank You

Always go here for meals out with my partner. Last night it was his birthday so we had a steak meal. Cooked to medium but wen it arrived was really pink and tough. Only a few chips and 2 onion rings. My boyfriends steak was 11oz but was tiny. I hate to write bad reviews but it spoilt his birthday meal so I think we will go elsewhere for a while. Oh and asked for no ice in drinks and the girl put ice in and when I told her all she could say was oh sorry. Have never seen these staff before so bit disappointed as it was quiet

I would recommend this place for breakfast. We was greeted and served by a lady named Jay. She was welcoming and helpful when taking our order, made sure our food was okay and cleared the table quickly and asked if we needed anything. The food was served hot and was tasty. Great value for money. Would visit again.

Booked a table for me and my husband. Seated straight away, ordered on the app and other than grabbing a knife and folk and using the toilet we didn’t have to leave our seat. Really attentive staff and looked after brilliantly, the manager with the curly hair you are a credit to that pub. Genuine care to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and everything is ok is customer service down to a tee. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Guy with curly hair was so friendly! One of the best we’ve. Seen and use to be just the same at the Hal road restaurant! Forgive me for forgetting his name! May be Calum? However he was brilliant, really made a big difference to the experience we had and was super busy but smiley and happy! Will be coming back

Anyone should be able to cook a burger you would have thought, but not whoever was in the kitchen cooking lunches on 29th. I had sliders and had to leave the bread rolls which tasted vile. My wife's burger was so over cooked you could resole shoes with it. Certainly won't be returning.

Had a steak and brunch and it was cooked to perfection the steak was so juicy I would have to say it’s the best steak I have actually ever had I asked what chef cooked it and was told it was Sonia I think I will get her to cook them all in future ha ha. Went for the full breakfast and was delighted in the quality of the food and it all came out piping hot. They were also happy to accommodate my requests for quorn Sausages instead of the usual pork on the full breakfast. Helpful staff too. Will definitely return.

I went in for a few beers with a friend. It was very busy and the staff were running round I guess they were short on people, which seems bad timing for a Sunday when its busy, so just had to wait a bit longer to get to the bar. Andy who served me was friendly as were the other staff despite how busy they all seemed and I had a good afternoon out.

We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn and decided to give Hungry Horse a try as we like this brand at home. Read some reviews and was a bit sceptical but we found the bar staff and servers extremely pleasant and friendly and very professional. We ordered the 12 oz rump steak and the crown of burgers and didn’t have to wait too long and it was very nice! Also, they have a lovely selection of fruity gins so I treated myself it would have been rude not to!! Very pleasant indeed and would recommend a visit any day!

We decided to meet friends on a Friday after work as a friend was leaving! So only a couple of drinks and coffees were required as we all had to drive, the manager was completely rude from the moment we arrived to the moment we left can’t believe his poor disrespectful attitude as the rest of his staff had a good service attitude! We know he was the manager as he made sure we knew it! As we all work around this area we will make sure all others that would use it will be aware of how terrible we were treated and we will definitely not want to return! Place was dirty and completely rundown, staff really needed to be doubled in numbers but didn’t give the manager any excuses to be so disrespectful to us all! 😡

I ordered super specials Mediterranean grilled seabass: very poor quality. The fish is not grilled,more like boiled,mixed green only over cooked beans, Not worth what was paying for. Never go again.

I’ve been a local for several years at the field fare and highly recommend it. Myself and friends play pool, watch all live sports there and always on the dart board. When we asked Kev (general manager) for a new board, it was ordered that evening. Thanks Kev. Also thanks Andy for looking after us. See you soon.

Entered building at 11:30am walked up to bar at 11:40am and was served by an oldish lady perhaps the manager as she wasn't in the same uniform as waiter staff. Tried to order items from breakfast menu but was told we couldn't very rudely, it states that you serve breakfast till 12pm but yet you can't put me through 2 super special breakfasts? Again very rude and She explained it was the tills fault, at this point we just walked out and won't be coming back.

Great food, can't fault the breakfast you get what you pay for and it was all prepared fresh and delicious. However the rude and arrogant old lady on the bar, by the name of Jay which was displayed on the till she served me at, was extremely rude and unpleasant, we were told to move table twice because she said we couldn't sit in the way of where the cleaners were working. She refused to let me use my vouchers but when asked why she doesn't have an explanation. She slammed the plates on our table. If this is the lady that's on at breakfast every morning then I'll Shan't be returning anytime soon!!

I have been coming here for years. You know what you're getting at a Hungry Horse so I'm not here to discuss the type of food on offer - it's pub grub at the end of the day. I was meeting other family here as it's super convinient being near the A47. On this one particular occaison I happend to be early so went to the Costa next door to get a takeaway coffee. Everyone turned up earlier than expected, and we wandered into the pub and I immedaitely realised I'd forgot to leave my coffee or at least finish it, so I made a concious effort to keep it hidden - more for politeness than trying to be sneaky. Two things happend with me still getting my coat off - first I was berated for bringing my coffee in, to which I asked what they wanted me to do with it and then we were told we can't sit in that part of the pub as my nephew was Under 18. Don't get me wrong I agree with that completely but we had BOOKED a table and told them we had an under 18's - I don't book the tables but was made to feel like it was somehow my fault. Anyway we were moved and I'm not having a go at the waitress as she was polite enough but was it was the way they adement that I couldn't bring the coffee in - again, I don't want to sound self-entitled, I'm more than aware I shouldn't bring in a drink, it was how they went about it that I was offended by. I even offered to put it in one of their mugs/cups but that wasn't good enough apparently. Anyway we are finally seated, adn at this point I've got my coat off and the coffee is in my coat pocket. I know the rules, I just didn't have anywhere to dispose of it. Without anyone saying a word, the manager comes over and again tells me I can't have coffee in the premises - at this point I point out it's hidden well away. It might as well of been under the table. Again not good enough. Not one to be a pr*ck, and I get they have policy, I took it outside - to my suprise though there were no bins!! So I had to kind of leave it on the outside of the door on the floor - which to me is even WORSE than me having it in my pocket but nevermind. Fast forward to the food. As I mentioned we've been here for years so we know what we are getting but I have to say the last 3-4 times we have been here, the food has been either cold or just inedible. My poor nephews burger was cold in the middle and it put him right off of his food all day. The only shining light is Michael who seems to be the only constant in this hell whole of a restuarant. Also - someone left a vape by the sink in the mens toilet. I told the bar staff who seemed unfazed that perhaps someone, maybe a child, could go in and pick it up. To my suprise when we went to leave I popped to the toilet again - it was still there!!! So then I checked the cleaning schedule and noticed it hadn't been inspected for 3hrs - this i son a busy Sunday between 12-3pm. Disgusting. Will I be back? No. I won't. Out of principle they've lost a customer and I'm sure my few quid won't make a dent, but I had 8 people with me that were all eating and drinking and rather than be low-key and friendly about my coffee situation you chose to make a big thing out of it. I even offered to put it in a mug or even BUY ONE FROM THEM!! Honestly the worst experience I've had in any restaurant. If you book a table you still have to queue up to be seated as there is never anyone there to greet. Again - I have been coming here for YEARS and have fond memories of it in the Summers with the kids running around in the playground and the atmosphere being vibrant but family friendly, the pub part being quiet and separated nicely. Not it's practically empty, probably due to the cutbacks and rudeness of the staff. No-one other than Michael seems to care although to be fair the younger Sunday staff were polite and just doing their job. It's just gone very much downhill. They used to bring you a little metal bucket with your cutlery and sauces etc. Now you have go get your own - no real hardship don't get me wrong but it takes away some of the shine. Oh and I usually have to ask for the cutlery to be cleaned once every three visits - I mean really? You can't clean the cutlery properly? Just avoid this place if I were you, unless you want cold food. And the worst part is I wouldn't even be writing this review if I wasn't made to feel like a criminal for the crime of...... bringing a half drunk cup of coffee in with me. Absolute joke.

Came lon a Saturday evening when we arrived the car park was empty and got to the door to be turned away. Very disappointing

A friend and I decided to visit the Fieldfare in Postwick for lunch yesterday. It was extremely busy when we arrived around 1300 and the queue for ordering food was quite long but it was definitely worth the wait. The price for the BOGOF deal on the burgers was amazingly good value and both of our orders were great (one The Home Run, one Beyond Meat Stack (Vegan)). I was particularly impressed with the Beyond Meat Stack, a beautifully moist and well-cooked burger. My mate, a hearty eater, was "stuffed" after his Home Run. Staff were on-the-ball, attentive and friendly, even though they were very busy. I'd happily recommend the Friday BOGOF burger days at the Fieldfare to anyone.

I want to say a huge recommendation for Micheal the waiter. What a happy kind and general good bloke he is . He was friendly and chatty and made us feel so welcome in what an extremely busy night. His manner is impeccable and his chatter and humour is infectious What a wonderful man who made our experience and happy one Well done micheal Ps the food was great to hot and fresh and delicious

Where to start, firstly I was rudely told where to take a seat by the waiter staff upon entering the establishment. Then I made a formal complaint regarding my main meal, I went for the steak sizzler and it definitely was not worth the amount of money that they charged for it. When I raised the issue to the waiter staff member again the same one that seated me, I believe his name was Garry as I heard the lady on the bar shout him over, he was extremely unhelpful and clearly has no experience with working in this industry or how to even deal with customers and complaints properly or in an orderly manner. His hygiene was also terrible and immediately made me want to leave. Afterwards I received my money back for the meal being not to the high standards it should be, I shall not be returning anytime soon.

Great night with great food, unfortunately the staff working the floor seemed so rushed off there feet all evening, you can really see the staff are struggling but are trying there hardest to still give the best service they can. This place is very short staffed at the moment and really needs to get back to having lots more on if it wants to keep to its high standards.

Lots of customers and only two visible staff, one on the bar and another running round with the food. No knives available or serviettes. Staff were doing their best.

The sevice is always great here, but the poor staff are rushed off their feet. Looks like there's only one staff member working the whole floor. Had to wait just over 45mins between main course and dessert, and still waiting... Clearly it's time to hire more staff

We come here expecting a different outcome every time we go, but is never much of an experience. They were not busy at all, were slow to bring out drinks and food, didn’t take my daughters desert order but when we got ours they brought a child portion of something totally random. We asked and it took 3 times of asking for it to arrive, and by the time it did we had finished. This is by far not the first time we have had issues, and one or two members of staff in particular always seem to be in a world of their own resulting in mistakes. I suggest you get it together and have a reshuffle, and perhaps retrain your staff. And also whoever does the ordering needs to ensure sufficient food is in, as there is always something not available when we have been

Our family meal was ruined by a member of staff who was more interested in hanging around a large table loudly slagging off someone they knew than actually doing their job. Didn't bother with desserts for the kids due to their bad language and took the kids to mcdonalds for an ice cream instead

Not our first visit but as always a friendly smile as you walk in with helpful staff. This time for breakfast and my word value for money. Breakfast was served hot and being 8 of us this was a bonus. Would really recommend a visit. I've now had breakfast, lunch and dinner several times with no complaints.... Happy times 😁

We had the most enjoyable festive lunch at the Fieldfare. Greeted with a welcoming smile 😊 Danny very happily reset our table at our request because we spotted that our favourite table was vacant, so a brilliant start… Thank you Danny. Kevin was cheffing and provided an excellent turkey meal with all the necessary trimmings. The food was hot and tasty, well presented and not over-facing, but plentiful. Desserts were equally tasty and beautifully presented too. Thanks Kevin. All staff were delightfully hospitable and happy in their respective roles. We thoroughly enjoyed our first festive social meal of the Christmas season, AND have booked to come again with family on Christmas Eve…we are really looking forward to it!

Andrew served us, he was very polite and made sure the order was correct for the family. Quick and efficient aswell. Gary also served our food, he was very nice to chat with and always has a smile. Food was also very good!

Came in for a few drinks with a friend after a very long 12 hour shift. Initially we were only there for a couple drinks but ended up having food. The lovely red headed lady behind the bar had made my very difficult and horrible day bearable. At the start we couldn’t think of what drink to have and she gave us a few favourites and ended up making us a beautiful cocktail. She was so bright and bubbly that it made me forget all about my terrible day at work! She truly was one of a kind bar staff. I’ve never been somewhere with such a lovely woman working behind the bar! Even down to just a simple smile when she could clearly see I was sad! When we ordered some food, I could see she was only bar staff but she went out of her way to get my food when she could see the floor staff struggling. She appeared to know everything what was happening not only on the bar but on the floor too! Honestly greenking you’ve done so well employing someone like the lady I encountered that day! Will 100% be coming back if she’s there!

Where to start? The derisory decor or the den of iniquity by which on the face of it, lies a Landlord who couldn't organise a 'piss up in a brewery.' There is never any stock which include drinks, snacks or the basic caveats for serving drinks, such as straws or clean glasses. Andy (Assistant Manager) tries his utmost (in part successfully) to run a ship which has it's doors cotinually darkened by the landlord Kevin, who is both rude, counter productive and frankly, his presence makes my skin crawl. Perhaps his wife should take the reigns, but she apparently syphons a wage from the bar without ever showing up to work. The very emodiment of a 'no show'. Funny the conversations you over hear when having a quiet drink with your girlfriend, right? There are flagrant breaches of health and safety with the carparks and children's play areas not being sufficently lit. The poor staff are underpaid and overworked, consistently being made to pick up the peices, birthed from catastrophic leadership at the top. I understand that many regular drinkers have left after Kevin told them to 'F**K off', including many beloved staff members, which explains their inordinately high staff turnover. When there are enough staff to work, the pub remains constantly understaffed leading to utter chaos and disarray. The basics are lacking and having run pubs for years, it remains evident that this pub is in need of desperate change. When will Greene King wake up? The alarm bells are ringing! The antidiluvian ethos adopted by the Landlord will ultimately cost this pub dearly. The food is outside the scope of this review, but that is nothing to write home about. For the avoidance of doubt, I shall not be returning.

Me and my husband had the Sunday roast and to be honest it was pretty bad. Yes it was cheap ( 2 for £14.50 I believe) and was cheaper and healthier than a McDonald’s but I was disappointed. The beef was very tough, the stuffing...

No burgers available but settled in a chicken New Yorker. 2 for £14.99 is a bargain. We couldn't finish ours. As always Micheal was a great attentive waiter. Pudding was nice too. Good food, great value.

Visited today 15th Feb, food and service were both amazing. Our servers ruby and stacy were fabulous and very polite and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food here was amazing from main to desert was delicious Would definitely come here again and tell other family and friends to come here to for meals
