The best restaurants in Brentwood East of England

first time I have ordered this takeaway the food was absolutely tasty and a good size portion, and arrived on time , they didn't send the pancakes to go with the crispy duck, when I called them they sent them straight out, thank you would highly recommend this takeaway

With the tragic loss of bagels/lunch, finding a new sandwich place has been difficult. The office has decided unwillingly that Lawsons is the new place to go.I have ordered from here twice, on both occasions lawsons has provided a meal that I can only describe as a blind man putting a jigsaw together. I’m not sure how someone can misunderstand ciabatta for panini. I have never eaten somewhere, nor met anyone in my life who dices avocado into sweet corn sized chunks. 3-4 pieces of these said chunks is a disrespect to not only me but the avocado itself. On my second attempt I went for a toastie, which arrived looking like my obese aunt had sat on it. Avocado chunks hidden amongst the new born baby poonlooking pesto, 2 anerexic slices of chicken breast which were tougher than mike Tyson. The only sign of any mozeralla was the cremated crust that had ran over the edge of the sandwich and faced a hot death from the toastie maker, with more crunch than grandma pat falling down the stairs. It may well be that lunch has set the bar so high that z list sandwich shops like this cannot compete. In the wake of such a titan being lost, establishments like yourself should be doing everything you can to make sure every order is going out like Gordon f****** Ramsey himself has ordered it. Shocking food on two occasions, will not be ordering from yourselves again, and I will stressing to every Tom dick and Harry who’s passed me by to not even bother. Experiencing your war like rationed sandwiches has made me miss he old LUNCH even more.

I'm gutted to be writing this as normally I like to write positive reviews. However, this i feel is needed so to not have anyone else in the same boat. We booked our son a birthday party at Nuclear Races (which was fantastic!!), we wanted to order dominoes for the children after the party so we called to pre order. The manager asked us to confirm exactly where so not to get confused, which we done, the manager was confident he knew exactly where we were. Unfortunately the driver did not and kept asking us where we were and where was he, us trying to help as much as we could, but not knowing the area very well it took a lot of us googling and searching to try and help him find us. Luckily a lovely man at Nuclear said he'll have a drive around and try and find him and thankfully he did. After 45mins and countless calls, we called Dominoes while the lovely man at Nuclear jumped in his car to hunt down the pizzas for our very hungry gang of children who were now extremely impatient from the adults being distracted trying to help the driver. Unfortunately our disappointment grew when another lady said another party had the exact same situation to us. Even worse the manager at the branch wasn't really interested on the phone and offered us a voucher if we lived in the area - we don't! So basically just shrugged his shoulders and said it was a shame! Freezing cold pizzas arrived nearly an hour late but at least the order was correct and we finally got them, just a shame we missed out on my children's next party as they were starving after not eating the freezing pizza. Very disappointed with the attitude of the staff and driver. Won't be going back and won't be recommending to anybody and will also be informing Nuclear races incase they would like to start recommending another take away company in future.

I just wanted to thank the wonderful staff of this pub. My teenage daughter was stranded and went to the pub for some help as her phone had also died. The staff there ( with very special thanks to Ellie) were so very kind to her. They comforted her and organised for her to get home safely. Can not thank them enough. Not only a wonderful pub but caring and brilliant staff who go above and beyond their duties. A total credit to our community!

awful never again don't no what they gave me it wasn't king prawn masala.... nann breads we're disgusting, also had a bottle of coke & it's flat.... how do you manage that...

Not good. Quite a few menu items were not available. One or two of the staff had a disappointing attitude. Not what you would normally expect from M&S staff.

Well now the old management has gone the place is dirty and tables are not cleaned. One of the drinks machine was broken and there is mess everywhere on the floors

Walked out - the lady serving was so slow, we waited 25 minutes for her to do 3 milkshakes for the people in front & there was still more to the order so we left. Need more staff.

Food always good here, tables get full quick so sometimes have to have a hunt round or a little wait. Staff are friendly and food is always freshly cooked. Love the app as it easy to order and you don't have to leave your table. The pub itself is a little dark because of the dark décor.

Can't even make your order correct. Muddling up pizzas and then fobbing you off saying will get you next time. Will be finding a different branch

The tea was a bit weak. It wasn't busy about 4pm but the bin was full and the semi-milk jug was almost empty (enough for 2 or 3 more cup of tea). There was some rubbish on one table outside area. The rubbish was left there for the duration of my time there 30mins+

I visited Rooster Piri Piri with my mum, excited to try it as it looked so good. However, when I saw the menu, I was shocked by the high prices, which didn’t seem worth it at all. After trying the food, I ended up with a stomach ache the next day. The food was flavorless, and the chicken burger I ordered turned out to be a disappointment—a mini chicken wing with a bone was thrown into the burger. I ordered extra hot chicken, but it wasn’t hot at all; it was bland. I felt sick and couldn’t finish my food, eventually having to throw it away. I will never order from here again and do not recommend it to anyone. If you want grilled chicken, go elsewhere.

I have no issue with self service tills, I do have an issue with there not being nearly enough staff supporting the tills. A far from pleasant shopping experience today. Queues every where. Sainsbury main board need to note that current way of operating will result in fewer customers.

Food and drinks are very nice and arrived quickly. My go-to starbucks since it’s the nearest and the nicest one i know of.

Great staff, friendly & efficient in a very, very busy site. Excellent coffee, food and facilities. Very clean and serves wild bean coffee, without doubt the best of the takeaway brand coffees served at service stations. Have used this facility on numerous occasions and cannot speak highly enough of the staff, particularly Annette, but all staff are fantastic.
