Since we moved to Mattishall in Feb 2018, we have used the Swan for family and friends visits. The food is to die for and, the menu is always changing so, no getting the same boring stuff week after week. Sunday in autumn, winter is carvery and, what a carvery. One price gets you a large plate plus, a sweet of your choice. One thing i like is, being a vegetarian, there are always several meals to choose from including a massive quorn veggie burger. The portions are way above normal as my Dad can vouch for and all freshly cooked. Their speciality pies are much sought after and, if you don't get in quick, they're gone. Sonia and Peter run an excellent pub restaurant with a cheerful, friendly and helpful staff for which nothing is too much trouble. If you're passing through, I recommend stopping at this friendly eatery.

I liked it. It's not very new but it's cozy. Some days the coffee is good, some days it's not.

Awful place, sometimes open but mostly not. Cold in winter and the management are unbelievable rude. Such a waste they need to hand it to someone who cares.

We booked for a family 80th birthday celebration and it went brilliantly. Staff are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Food was excellent, and the ambience perfect. The owners were amazing, ensuring are wishes were followed to the letter which made the event so special for our Aunt. We were able to arrive early to set up the decorations - everyone was so helpful.

I visited yesterday with a large group of Meet Watton members after a walk exploring around the wonderful sights of Thetford. On arrival our outside tables had been reserved for us as agreed, and we received a very warm welcome from the staff. The service was first class, and the cakes and drinks were delicious and very well received by all of our members. Thank you so much for hosting our end of walk refreshments. We look forward to visiting you again soon.

Great service exstensive menu if unsure ask the staff they will recommend something special. The biggest suprise was the generous portions. We really enjoyed our meal but couldn't finish. No problem staff will pack it for you to take home. Thank you Bombay Tandoori for a great taste experience

Visited on a whim with my 3 year old. We received a warm welcome and played in the garden on the climbing equipment while we waiting for our food. The staff kindly let us know our food had arrived. The Sunday roast was epic and the children’s sausage, chips and peas was also very tasty The chocolate brownie was demolished by my little girl and I. I’m honestly not sure how we did it as the roast dinner was so generous! We will definitely be back

Visited The Shapla on a bit of a whim with a group of friends. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere surrounding. My friend got verbally assaulted by a member of staff (jokingly) and this entertaining, tailored customer service means I will be highly likely to return in the future. A restaurant isn't just about providing good food, it's about being able to understand the customer and tailoring your service approach. You can play it safe, or you can have a laugh and a joke - which is exactly what we received. I'll try to return without my friend and weird menu requests next time. I'll also try not to touch the hot table things too. So much fun.

We have just moved to Watton and were told to try Beijing Diner. Honestly, I am beyond amazed at the quality and price of this food. Everything tastes amazing and is cooked perfectly. No fake or greasy rubbish. Just proper, decent Chinese food. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking of trying it. You won't be disappointed. A big five stars from me. Thank you to the lovely staff there. 🙏

Probably the worst subway i've been to. Tasted terrible, low quality stale bread and just in general tasted bad, doesn't taste like all the other subways I have had across the UK. The two servers are really nice though.
