Staff and food are excellent! Had lovely paninis and really nice coffee in the cafe, then got some cake to take away as it all looked amazing. Cake was delicious and we'll definitely go back!

Stopped off mid-morning for a late breakfast having read they serve breakfast all day. The place was rammed, which is usually a good sign, so not altogether surprised to be told there would be a 15 minute wait for food. Sadly, the drinks took 15 minutes and the food, at least half an hour. Admittedly, the food was good when it came and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but it was a long wait and would make me think twice about returning, which is a shame as all the other elements were good....

Prices fair, service is horrible. Soup of the day, tomato and basil, subpar quality. No sequence of arrival versus orders coming out. Unable to handle a busy lunch session.

Stopped here on the way to Norfolk. What a lovely place for lunch. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A family near us had allergies, and they showed exactly what they were going to use to reassure them.

Very good. Clean, great service, fresh, well presented food. Only let down was that the flat white was just like a regular white coffee. Needs good level of velvety frothed milk to be a classic flat white.

I've passed this place a few times so I decided to give it a try this weekend. It was busy and we sat outside. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, if not for a person sitting a meter from us smoking a cigarette every 5 minutes. But, oh well, it can't be helped. The staff was very nice and friendly. While waiting an hour for our food, we drank our coffee. I highly recommend mocha coffee if you like sweet coffee. All day breakfast was good, but nothing special. Jacket potato with tuna was slightly sour, but I tried to told myself that it's just as it meant to be. I wouldn't complain if they served it with some butter on side and some salad dressing on top of the salad. Overall, the place is worth a visit.

A lovely cafe on the High Street, much nicer atmosphere than neighbouring Costa would have. The shop is full of lovely members of staff and plenty of choice for a light bite to eat or a whole lunch! Freshly baked cakes and some bought in as they were gluten free and vegan, which is understable but all in all, this cafe is one of my favourites now. Highly recommend visiting.

Nice service but unfortunately the coffee was too milky for a flat white. Give a double shot of coffee next time and you'll be good to go.

High street cafe with menu of sandwiches, Panini and jacket potatoes. Large selection of home made cakes. Well worth a try.

I'm Coeliac so asked for gluten free menu. A decent gluten free menu but would of liked more choice of gluten free cake. Was told the preparation area would be cleared and cleaned before my food was prepared cos of cross contamination. This made me feel safe to eat there. Thoroughly enjoyed our food,great friendly service and nice atmosphere. I would recommend to other Coeliacs. Well done and thank you.

Would of been a 4 if it hadn't been for the dirty box they gave me my food in. Went in the Caffe with an hour to spare before having to leave for train. I thought that was plenty of time to order food and eat but the order took approximately 30-35 min to arrive And by then I had to ask to take it to go. The food and coffee is very good and not too bad price, but for the time it took and the dirty box 2 stars were lost.

Nice cafe, sandwiches were tasty, coffee a little on the weak side, 4 stars overall because no one was wiping the tables between customers, so they were quite dirty.

Oh my days, a dining disaster in every way, genuinely too many individually bad elements to list. Vacant, confused & ever so slightly dismissive staff put on a shambolic show that would have been laughable if they weren't taking your money & wasting your time. Look, I get that we may have caught them on a very bad day, but tend to doubt it because they didn't even appear to have a system for assigning a specific order to a specific table, resulting in staff constantly wandering from table to table with plates of food asking people what they had ordered while the food went cold. We had a ludicrously long wait, we had to chase our drinks three times, food eventually arrived cold as we were another victim of their inability to find who'd placed the order, order wrong but by this point we'd thrown in the expectation towel, drinks arrived long after food following one final chase, no cutlery for us or pretty much anyone else, had to walk to the counter to get cutlery for us and the OAP ladies on the table next to us, no condiments came to the table even though we we asked specifically what we wanted. OK, this place gets good, great & really great reviews, maybe perhaps you should take a punt, but we would never return or recommend it to anyone based on our experience, we would be crazy to do so, we kinda let ourselves down by firstly not just leaving mid fiasco & secondly by paying for the experience, but that is solely down to us.

On the Main Street this is a good place to sit and people watch. There is a lot of seating inside and a bit outside but there are plenty of delicious cakes on show.

Fabulous little coffee shop, the staff are always happy and helpful and the food either breakfast or lunch is always spot on. It's a place we love to eat at and meet family and friends. If you haven't tried it then you should.

For the 3rd food wasn’t good ( cooked ) the staff are friendly enough & it’s clean on this occasion I ordered cheese on crumpets big mistake they were barely toasted it was like eating slime so changed them for scrambled egg on toast I think they don’t have the. Equipment to toast anything the toast was like bread & butter so just ate scrambled egg last visit from us plus they don’t bother to apologise for the food that was sent back

On a day trip to thetford from Cromer. Excellent! Lovely ambience! Went in at one o'clock lunchtime told we would have a bit of a wait. Food worth waiting for and despite being busy hard working staff remained cheerful, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Planning another trip to Thetford later in year will def be our lunch stop.

My husband and I had lunch and my husband had a couple of breakfast here. The food was some but well cooked and NOT dripping in oil. Would definitely go back.

I enjoyed my Club Sandwich and fries which was tasty, well presented and not too expensive. In fact I could only eat half the sandwich for lunch, it made a delicious snack later in the day. There is plenty of seating, all well spaced, inside and outside

Nice cafe in the center of Thetford. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good range of vittles many of which looked homemade. My egg bap came with 🍳🍳, I only expected one. Carrot 🍰 was good and ☕ was nice. Prices were reasonable I'd be happy to return.

I ordered sandwiches and cakes for a family function. Tom was very accommodating when I needed to add to my order nearer the date. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious, and ready for collection at the time agreed. I was very happy with the quality and service.

Very nice place to have a coffee however North West Territories business sometimes can reflect on Alaska HAARP politics . The North west territories is Field Generation to the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program or HAARP institute or the University of Alaska who succeeded Eastlund , Star Wars and maybe even Colin Powell and our Ozone Layer .

Wasnt 4 yrs ago but 3wks and I ordered 1 of there platters for £20 it was fantastic.Ordered 2 slices of different cakes which was about £3.50 to £3.75 each ? Found that a bit expensive but am I wrong I dont know been awhile since I've been to get eats.

Went for lunch with my daughter I had eaten my lunch before my daughter even got hers and when we told owner he said " Well you just had a scone and your daughter had a panini which takes longer and the kitchen was busy " when asked if they couldn't of warmed my scone when they bought out my daughters lunch he said " No we've never done that !Ordered Terry's Chocolate Orange cake for dessert - it was too dry to eat as it didn't have anything in the middle to make it moist the owner said it wasn't dry as he had tried mine ( Covid !!!) He gave us the £3.25 back for the cake grudgingly and walked away moaning very loudly - very unhappy - horrible experience

We visited Thetford for a few hours before arriving at nearby centre parcs, it was the first cafe we came across after parking up, what a lovely find, the staff were friendly and chatty, we had the scones which were huge, made by one of the staff, how scones should look, also ordered lemon drizzle cake and my favourite coffee and walnut, which we couldnt manage so had them put in a takeaway bag for later:) lovely to be in a tea room/cafe which isnt one of the usual overpriced chains. Social distancing was spot on, and we had a nice table inside in the corner. I asked a about the Dads army museum, which we knew wasnt open:( but will be back, lovely little town, popped down to the river to see Captain Mainwarings statue, and saw the murals of the walls of the museum

They do the social distancing very well Very good value ans superb home cooking. The cheese scone is to die for, and if you haven't succumbed to that the ginger carrot cake will finish you off. All highly recommended

Welcoming, excellent prices, good food

My husband and myself visited for breakfast on 15 August.We were warmly greeted and chose a table to sit at.I had a fruit scone and cup of tea which was was lovely. My husband had a sausage sandwich and cup of tea.It was a very pleasant dining experience and I would return if visiting Thetford again.

We hadn't been here for years and were really pleasantly surprised. We sat outside, had sandwiches and panini, which were delicious and good value for money. Drinks are an absolute bargain. We indulged in cake too, neither of which lasted long! You cannot beat a homemade cake, highly recommend the lemon cake and the biscoff brownie. Gutted we have been missing out all this time, will definitely be one of our regular haunts now! Service was so friendly and quick. We witnessed the young waitress dealing with an abusive customer, she was so professional and handled the situation brilliantly. Cannot wait to visit again.

Ordered three take away picnic platters for a birthday picnic - food was delicious, a great variety and the vegetarian platter was just as good as the meat platter! Definitely recommended.

We placed an order for tea & sandwiches. We waited & then noticed the customer who had been behind us had got her food. Went into the cafe & queried it but was told we hadn’t ordered any food just tea but we had paid for the sandwiches. Him & a young girl were looking for our food slip in the bin. I asked for a refund & the young girl accused me of being rude & walked of in a huff. A man I presume was the manager then came & again accused us we hadn’t paid. Couldn’t believe we were being accused and we were told once they issued us with a refund to leave their cafe & not return. If you go in make sure you all check that your food order has gone through if not don’t bother going into tall orders.

Lovely staff and good good choices

Called in midweek for coffee. There's a very nice comfortable settee and chairs in the cafe, but these were being monopolized by an employee messing around with cutlery. Just hard wooden chairs left for customers. He was messing around with the knives and forks for more than five minutes, before he shifted himself and took our order. We asked for two coffees and a toasted teacake. The coffee was nice, but the toasted teacake was very minimally toasted, plus it was served with butter straight from the fridge, making it impossible to spread nice and evenly. It was served by someone who works in the kitchen, who wore just ordinary everyday clothes, didn't seem very hygienic. There didn't seem to be much consideration given to us as customers.We shall go elsewhere in future, somewhere more welcoming.

Excellent English breakfasts and home-made cakes and scones. Al fresco or inside. A very good alternative to the chain cafes.

Great spot for breakfast! My husband wanted a full English breakfast and I prefer pastries or sweets. This restaurant excelled at both! I loved the huge, homemade scone with jam and clotted cream, while my husband enjoyed a great cooked breakfast. My cappuccino was also top notch and enormous. Loved this place! Highly recommend!

Staying in the Travelodge a few hundred yards away we found this little restaurant/cafe on Trip Adviser. We were not dissappionted. An excellent breakfast at a very reasonable price.Well worth a visit for a freshly cooked morning bite. Plenty of choice but the full english was delicious.

I stopped into Tall Orders for a late breakfast and found it as nice a place for a quiet bite as it was six years ago. It still has the small cafe feel, and the menu board on the wall shows a broad range of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and breakfasts. I had scrambled eggs on toast and a side of fried mushrooms. The portion size was large, and the eggs buttery without being greasy, and the mushrooms tasty but enhanced by the adding of a little salt. The Latte was smooth and nicely made. There is table service, and the order arrived quickly. It remains a nice little cafe with reasonable prices.

If you're in Thetford, hungry or thirsty and Tall Orders is open, head in.Good service, friendly staff, great full English and a full menu. No pic of the breakfast cos it got eaten very quickly. My wife had the pancakes which she enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit!

Me and my boyfriend had some lunch here, the panini‘s were lovely and there was plenty of choices for filling, however the chips wasn’t so good everyone also seemed really friendly, but our order was taken twice because the first waiter I’m sure didn’t understand us. Was still a nice quiet pleasant lunch and would try again.

Walking through Thetford, came across Tall Order on King Street by accident. Open on a Sunday morning - the perfect stop off for Sunday Brunch.

Tried out Thetford as a stop on our way home from Norfolk. Ridiculous place to find a parking space. However when we found a space and looked for food we found this little gem. I always like to see locals using a place and being greeted as regulars.

Fantastic visit for tea and a cake. The cake was actually a flapjack and both huge and delicious. The place was spotless and the staff friendly with a great sense of humour. If you are in Thetford and want a delicious 11's this is the place to go

Clean Warm friendly Cafe. The atmosphere and service were faultless. The dining room was spotless. The very helpful staff could not do enough for us. Food was great (Vegan all-day breakfast). Vegan options on most things. Good coffee. Will definitely eat here again and recommend to friends!

I just needed a good scone with butter and jam and a cappucinno. I got both, quickly and with smiles, and reasonably priced. Sat inside with good view of the pedestrianised shopping street, but there are also seats outside.

This is a small cafe set in the Main Street in the town. It is clean with a very good selection of light lunches, also serving breakfast all day. The serving staff are friendly and polite. The portions are generous. Space inside can be limited but there is seating outside when the weather is good. Definitely a place to visit and return.

Popped in as I have done every couple of months for several years. Friendly polite staff, always busy because the place is so popular. However, quiet today because post-Christmas. Tea straight away, food soon enough, nice chatty atmosphere, toilets clean. You get freshly-made food and not tasteless fast-food stodge. One of my preferred eating places in Thetford.

We went for lunch at this restaurant. It was quite busy when a lady finally appeared and said someone would come over and take our order. We found a table which had dirty plates on it. A friendly older gentleman cleaned it for us. Then a lady came over and took our order. We ordered and also asked for a glass of tap water. The warm drinks and the food arrived but no tap water so we had to ask again, the water then arrived in a dirty glass ! The food was ok but the plates had greasy thumb prints on them where they’d been carried and the bacon in the panini was smoked which it didn’t specify on the menu. The young dark haired lady at the till was pleasant and helpful so she was a credit to the restaurant but all on all the cleanliness of the place needed looking at !

I popped in and asked if they did take away and to my delight they did. The coffee shop looks lovely with delicious home bakes many of which are gluten free. We got two amazing take away coffees...to think we were thinking of going to costa!

Tried this restaurant again. Ordered two different wraps. Both came with minimal salad and crisps. Warm plates warm knives and forks. Not really ideal. The wrap itself was very tasty.

We choose Tall Order as there were a lot of people using this eatery. We ordered sandwiches and a panini, and we were made up with the quality of our food, staff were very good as well hence my 5 stars.

The service is very slow you could easily drink three to four cups of tea or coffee before your meal is put onto your table. Inside it’s very cramped I guess that’s why everybody is sitting outside. The food is just average at best. Staff are miserable and unfriendly. Definitely one of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to.

Had breakfast here before moving on to the Broads. We had a full English with tea and toast, it set us up for the whole day. Very tasty but the local sausages have an odd texture but were tasty.

We popped in on a Saturday lunchtime. There was a huge selection of very reasonably priced food, and friendly service.

It's been a couple of months since my last visit but all is as good as it was last time. The owner takes time to say hi and chat to everyone. The waitresses are very professional in their job. The coffee is superb and my bacon and sausage sarny set me up for the day. If your in Thetford then pop in, you won't regret it.

This very pleasant little place offers a good menu that caters for Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free. There are tables on the ground and first floors. It is small but did not feel crowded. A good blackboard with a wide choice + the standard menu. Well presented with quick good friendly service. On a nice day you can sit outside. Offers free WiFi and the food is very well priced. Car parks nearby and very handy for the shops in this very nice little town.

Gluten free, vegan, I think they have it all in one form or another. Cosy surroundings, eat inside (up or down) or outside. Very friendly staff, used by a lot of locals (always a good sign). Prices are superb. I had large coffe, full English and then a pot of tea, all for £8 or thereabouts. No push to leave and customers in and out all the while.

We were visiting The area, and rather support independent businesses then chains. We choose to sit inside. The blackboard had a good choice of wraps, sandwiches, pannis,some salads, jacket potatoes etc. We had one jacket with chilli beef, the other with cottage cheese, beetroot and chives. Both came with a dressed side salad (the dressing I found rather strong so didn’t eat the salad). The jacket potatoes and the service we received was good.

Visited for Breakfast with my partner whilst in the area earlier this week. Left very disappointed, I ordered egg on toast, which still managed to come out wrong and my partner had a Panini which when he opened it after tasting, half the ingredients were missing. These two basics dishes took a very long time to come out, plus as mentioned both were wrong. The two tables closest two us also complained whilst we were there.

A pleasant little cafe, serving reasonably priced food. Good friendly service and food and coffee was good. The cake selection looked very tempting but we resisted.
