Excellent food but a little noisy in the restaurant with banging from the coffee making, which made conversation difficult. Otherwise a most enjoyable experience.

Went to cafe for lunch.Had the quiche it was delicious chips were really good.Had the Nutella milkshake and that was incredibly sweet🤣probably not the best idea to have with a quiche lol probably should of had a water but anyways the milkshake tasted good and you got extra as well but that was too much after how sweet it was but apart from that I recommend thetford garden centre and the cafe

One of the best Garden Centres around, can tell just from how busy it is! Brilliant selection of sweets and chocolate pizza! Haven't been to the cafe as of yet but there always is a queue so must be good! Plenty of clothing, typical garden centre stuff, fish and a really tidy outdoor area.

I have been a customer for roughly 30 year's. I love plants and delicious food plus I am obsessed with your Biscoff Milkshakes. Being totally honest I have mentioned you to all my friends. I strongly recommend a visit to the Thetford Garden the plants are super and the staff give a first class service. The lure of good food, an excellent choice of card's and gifts. Thetford Garden Centre has grown so much over the year's it is a pleasure to see it what is going to happen next, congratulations to you all 😊

Large garden centre. Loads of parking. Very busy bank holiday Monday. Lime kiln kitchen cafe excellent. Food was lovely, reasonably priced too and staff very accommodating. Dog friendly. Massive variety of products, some a little pricey but great quality. Will definitely go back for another visit.

It was my birthday and had garden centre vouchers to spend. First we went to a Garden Centre nearer to our home. Big mistake --- plants in poor condition, staff unhelpful, car park dreadful. So off to Thetford we drive. Great plants, staff very helpful, tea and cake delicious. Worth the drive ; will RETURN !!.

Visiting Thetford garden centre, perusing the gifts, indoor plants and generally everything is like a fun day out for me, along with a cuppa and even lunch. I love it!.

Love coming to meet friends for lunch and then browsing your garden centre. I always find something to take home. There are so many great ideas for gifts too..

Well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch - amazing food. Superb indoor and outdoor plants and lovely gift shop, pet section, clothing and furniture.

Perfect place to visit for a light lunch, also worth a walk around the well stocked store. Staff are friendly and helpful, keen to help. Only a wee problem I would highlight, staff want yiu to pay at your table, however they are not always free to take your payment. So this delays your opportunity to leave.

A lovely well laid out garden centre with lots of wonderful extras and a special café serving excellent fresh food and good coffee. Although not on my doorstep I go out of my way to come here because it is so good..

I hadn't been to Thetford Garden Centre for years and my sisters suggested meeting there for lunch ....it has had makeover..it is very much a destination...extensive gift area with some garden related products.. lovely quality and well presented....lots to look at inside......the plants were in good condition and very well presented....I enjoyed looking around and bought a few things...things were expensive but within reach... we had a lunch in the cafe which was absolutely delightful.. very relaxed with attentive servers...very acceptable without breaking the bank........ Parking was easy....

Fantastic restaurant and some beautiful items in the shop , a little pricey, went today because i read they had a bakery but it was only frozen bread and cakes and pastry..so disappointed because was expecting a proper bakery...the article was misleading....should have said baked good not a bakery ...probably nothing to do with the garden centre

Great variety, helpful staff, good cafe.

Garden centre was lovely and most staff around were helpful especially at the tills and customer service. The food was decent in the cafe but Kate was definitely “less friendly” than other staff in the cafe and garden centre.

Outstanding isabellas tearoom afternoon tea. Food and service was brilliant. Me and 3 friends was very impressed. We Will be returning

A rather nice garden centre loads of great looking plants. Lots of other stuff cards books tools and an onsite restaurant pizza restaurant and play area for children well worth a visit.

Was bigger than thought, has a lovely collection of different items including garden ware, house plants, tools and even clothes. Unfortunately the little hits at the back serving food weren't open. So it means we will have to go back and have another walk around

Next to Tesco Theford, this is a gem of a garden centre with a nice cafe and all the things you would get in a quality store. The staff are really friendly and helpful. FREE PARKING. This garden centre also stocks other nice products like Bournebeauty skincare, which is fantastic ! Late night opening on Fridays as well! Go down there and have a bite to eat, then grab some nice items to go home with and pamper yourself with. What's not to like !

Went to Thetford Garden Centre today, for my other half’s birthday, got a great selection of plants, and had a nice lunch. The sourdough toastie was ok, the onions could have been caramelised more and the salad wasn’t dressed correctly, however extra credit to the young chap who served us at our table who was able to source us some sea salt from the kitchen to go on our chips.

One or the best gardening centres in the area, great assortment of plants and garden equipment. Gift ideas and every day things. The Lime Kilm Kitchen has good quality food and lovely staff that makes it a very nice place to be..

Really good place to go to buy presents for people. Has a large food section and the normal garden centre stuff. The cafe is award winning but I have never actually visited but it smells nice.

Breakfast Experience at Theftford Garden Centre My sister, nephew, and I decided to have breakfast at Theftford Garden Centre since we were in the area. I approached a waitress and asked her to explain the difference between the full English and the light breakfast. She informed me that the full breakfast included two sausages, two rashers of bacon, two eggs and two hash browns. I opted for the light, while my nephew, a body builder, chose the full breakfast. When our meals arrived, my nephew noticed that his full breakfast only contained one butcher sausage. I inquired with a senior staff member about what we had been told regarding the two sausages. She went away and returned to inform us that the full breakfast should only have one sausage, and if my nephew wanted an extra one, he would have to pay for it. This wasn’t my question, and it left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. However, since it was my nephew’s birthday, I decided not to make a fuss over what seemed to be an honest mistake by a young, otherwise delightful waitress who mentioned she had only been on the job for a few weeks.Additionally, they had mixed up our orders regarding white and wholemeal toast. I was taken aback by the response from the older lady, as I have been a frequent customer and have never experienced anything like this before. This is the only reason I did not give a five-star rating, as everything else, including my meal, was satisfactory.

A fantastic garden centre & coffee shop!

Very friendly staff, fresh plants with very good display, good range of items to buy and 1st class restaurant. Our favourite Garden Centre although we live in Bury St Edmunds..

We stopped for lunch en route to Norfolk. The waitress as very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Very pleased.

Not good, waited over half hour to be buzzed in told 20mins. Service was slow we had to ask to be served. Will not go to restaurant again

Visited the Lime Kiln Café which is always a pleasure: attentive, friendly and polite service..

Having used the restaurant many times, it was always our go to place for tea & cake in the afternoon. We won't be back. It's now overpriced and the quality has definitely gone down. 1 slice of coffee and pecan cake which was always a favourite was so thin yet still charged at £5.19 it was around half It's normal size. We always came because you do dairy free cakes and scones. Because of the refurb the dairy free scones have been taken off the menu and the cakes have reduced in size. Sorry but won't be paying these prices again.

Used the cafe, experiencing some issues whilst having a refurb. One meal came out raw and was redone but still not nice, another stone cold and replaced. One was fine, however wasn’t what was described on the menu and had ingredients in it not liked or wanted and wouldn’t have been chosen. It was all very disappointing and at a push one meal was refunded and apologies made. It was supposed to be a nice gesture taking a friend for lunch, instead it was all a bit of a disaster and ruined the occasion entirely as none of us even got to eat at the same time.

Good customer service, friendly staff, delicious food, great range of products.. Updated Feb 2025: garden center is undergoing work but remains open. We stopped in for breakfast and a look round. Queue at the restaurant but plenty of very friendly staff. Felt let down this visit, the service was good but some food ordered was not delivered, (was given a refund), and some was poor quality. The breakfast in the Lime Kiln Kitchen was not good! My wife had a bacon roll which was fine, but the poached eggs on my Avocado with Poached Eggs on Sourdough were distinctly cold, the plate was warmer than the eggs! Also on one egg the white was still runny. Historically we always stop in here for either a meal or light lunch. Having been to so many good restaurants this week, and some cheaper but better food, I will hesitate to visit again. The menus is good, service is good, kitchen lets it down.

Despite going for a Sunday roast , due to construction works they had limited menu , we both enjoyed the food we had. Staff are great attentive but not in your face.

Very poor service and overpriced- Unfortunately the novelty has worn off with the Lime Kiln Kitchen. The service is poor, with unapologetic staff and wrong orders. 9/10 times the drinks come AFTER the food, and they come midway through the meal. You are treated like an inconvenience if part of your order doesn’t come as expected. The prices are extortionate for the portion size, and we all know the “house fries” are that shape just to get away with giving you less food for more money. We’ll be going to the Elveden Café from now on, where the service and value is leagues above this pretentious novelty.

Staff are always extremely helpful, great selection of garden and house plants. And your cafe is the best in Norfolk.

Always helpful and polite without pouncing on you as soon as you walk through the store to give assistance. If I need help I can always find someone close by but sometimes I just like to browse myself.

We visited the garden centre to use the Lime Kiln Kitchen and were not dissappointed. First class service with a smile and top quality food. We will return from Wells-next-the-Sea so it MUST be good! P.S. Who trains your staff? They are all equally professional, and seem to really enjoy their work..

Your nutella milkshakes are lush! Your staff are always cheerful and the food is always delicious! Only thing we don't like is having to wait for a table at busy times - but hey ho, we like looking around the rest of the garden centre anyway!.

I absolutely love coming to the Garden Centre. The team are always very friendly and helpful, and the product offerings are lovely and of high quality. There's always a really good variety and range of pots and plants / trees, and the cafe is also a great spot to connect with friends for a decent coffee, lunch or snack!

It’s a lovely well kept shop with interesting new stock and plenty to see and do. The staff are always so nice and the food is very good. They have a lot of plants and the price point is good..

The garden centre has a lovely, welcoming feel. A lot to see, great plants as well as gifts, clothing etc. We can bring our dog (really important to us as he suffers with separation anxiety).
