This really is a good restaurant. The food was very good, the portion sizes are amongst the largest I have seen at an Indian restaurant and the service was really friendly. Will be back!

We are a family of 5. We ate dinner here. Service outstanding. Very attentive and friendly. Food delicious and big portions. We couldn't finish it all, so we got given our leftovers to take home. Food was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it. The kids loved it, too.

Had a lovely birthday meal here for my birthday with my family. Staff were very pleasant and attentive (straight away picking up some cutlery I accidentally dropped and replacing it). The food was delicious 😋. I would highly recommend.

First visit back since the pandemic and as usual they didn't disappoint. The staff are all lovely and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend the Tandoori mixed grill ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We will definitely be going back soon.

3 of us were in Norfolk from Friday - Sunday. We visited on Friday night and we were so impressed we returned again on the Saturday. Between us we tried:- Mixed Biryani Mixed Jalfrezi Mixed Madras Mixed Ceylon Mixed Lal Gosht All faultless.The staff were friendly and always made sure drinks were topped up. Will definitely return if we are in the area again

The best Indian cuisine we’ve ever tasted, a really positive experience from the attentive staff to the delicious food. We’d popped in after searching on Google Maps for an Indian restaurant whilst visiting Cromer, there were plenty to choose from but this one stood out with its excellent rating. We had the mixed platter to start with lamb and chicken tikka pieces, onion bhaji and veggie samosa. It was very well spiced, and went down well, with the selection of beers they had. Onto the mains, my partner had a veggie passanda and I had the chicken version. We had a peshwari naan and pilau rice. The meat was very well cooked and spiced, the vegetable dish was very flavoursome too. Overall the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. It really topped off our holiday, thank you for the experience with your friendly, smiley, helpful staff. Ian & Helen

Jewel is one of the servers and his customer service is absolutely amazing, highly recommend this place, the food as well is absolutely mind blowing 10/10. Coming back here again.

Ordered in due to working in the area overnight. First off, the guy on the phone was straight talking, honest and easy to order from. I ordered an array of items and everything was tasty. I asked for the madras to be extra hot and they took care of it. It blew a large whole in my undies. Old school flavours, not modern and fragrant like a lot of them are turning into these days. Not absolutely perfect but deliveries never are, the mint sauce had some small yoghurty lumps in and one of the boxes had leaked out in the bag. Overall though, decent portions and tasty. Prices haven't been hiked up like they have everywhere else so you can actually enjoy your dinner knowing you haven't been robbed. Bog standard Indian restaurant that does what it says on the tin. Thumbs up!

Had a lovely evening celebrating my husband and friends' birthdays. Place was full to bursting when we arrived but seated quickly. We had to ask for drinks about 30 minutes after we arrived, as the table next to us, who arrived 10 minutes later, were served first and no sign of a waiter coming over. We ordered drinks and poppadoms while deciding what to order. We again had to ask to order our main after another long wait and ordered further drinks. We had to keep asking where the drinks were, and 45 minutes later, we got them. Even though they seemed understaffed for the evening, the waiters were polite and friendly. The food was piping hot and delicious as always. We will definitely be back.

Very nice food at very reasonable prices

Me and my partner went here tonight, and we loved it, the food was lovely and well prepared, this included the poppadoms and the sauces that came with it! The staff were kind and attentive checking to make sure everything wad okay, and the atmosphere was lovely, with nice lighting and warm. Will definitely be coming here again!

It’s been a while since our last visit but not disappointed , food and service top notch and will return soon. Fantastic value for money.

This place is dreadful. The worst indian food. Absoulety vile and I had hairs in it too. They only take cash on certain nights so they don't have to pay tax.

Another Christmas visit to The Bombay, outstanding from picking up the phone and booking for Christmas Day. The welcome is second to none, seated with drinks almost immediately. The place was heaving everyone having a fantastic experience we must of told to many people what we weee doing! Our meal was outstanding as always. Thank you Jamal and the team, see you again very soon.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening with my father and girlfriend, Owner & all staff were polite, attentive, genuinely nice people. The food was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Despite being a bit of a drive from where I live it was well worth the drive, we will definitely be returning. Easy 5 Stars.

Best Indian restaurant in dereham, been coming for years and will continue to do so

2 hours waiting on a Sunday, told 40 mins. Called multiple times driver in the road for at least an hour, food was stone cold when it arrived. Lack of customer service failed to call back when promised, also wrong dish supplied on top of the hassle. Would never recommend or use. In response: At no time was a car issue mentioned, also I can assure you food was stone cold and also as a reminder a wrong dish.

Stayed at North Elmham, and came into Dereham for an Indian meal, and picked this particular restaurant. Good food, can recommend the Chicken Asiana. Not disappointed.

Just had food delivered for six of us staying at the holiday lodges for the weekend. Absolutely superb. Utterly delicious & superbly fresh food. The chicken just melted in your mouth. Could not fault it. It was excellent. Thank you.

Delicious food every time, the best Indian food in the area.

The food here is normally great. I travel from Watton to Dereham as the only Indian restaurant in Watton is not up to standard. The meal tonight was lovely except for the Peshwari naan which let them down. I was disappointed as it was full of coconut a bit too much actually, but nothing else! It is supposed to have sultanas, raisins and almonds too but there was none. It is described on their menu as " fruity naan" but there was no fruit and so it was dry and powdery. I didn't enjoy it at all so I will be sticking to plain naan in future. A shame as a travel 20 mins to get my meal. I would still recommend if you are close to Dereham though, like I said, usually very good food

Since first visiting over 26 years ago, this place has set the standard against which I rate all other Indian restaurants. Perfect food with brilliant, friendly service. My absolute favourite, nationwide.

I have used Bombay a couple of times now as I usually use Spice Fusion and thought I would give these guys a chance. The curries we have had from here have all been delicious and very flavoursome, you get huge chunks of meat and plenty of rice. Last time they gave us extra poppadums and extra sauces which was nice - plus you get a very generous amount of onion salad. This time we decided to try the onion bhajis and samosas which admittedly I wouldn't purchase again only because you get three tiny samosas for £3.50 which isn't really worth it (although they were delicious) and the onion bhajis were nice but way too oily for me. We have never eaten inside the restaurant, only ever had takeaways but the food has always arrived piping hot and within the time frame given. Reasonably priced for what you get aswell, would highly recommend.

I had a madras with chips last night, the madras was very watery and the chips were under cooked did not enjoy it at all most of it went in the bin.

Was in Dereham My Birth Town with My So. We passed this place before it opened saw staff mopping the Kitchen Which was Good to see . On entering we were greeted Well and asked where we would like to sit The Meal was Hot Fresh and Tasty My onion Bhaji starter was the best I’ve tasted so was My Sons Garlic Mushrooms . The portions are generous as well a Good Meal to Celebrate My Birthday in My Home Town of Dereham Not East Dereham 😉

Lovely food, not so sure about the restaurant itself. Service reasonable. We were a little cramped where we sat. It all was going ok until we asked for our leftovers to be boxed, seemed a bit put out. Our view on that is that we paid for it, and we can take it home. We think it's best for large parties as obviously they spend more, but the food was excellent. We probably will use as a takeaway in future.

The food in this Restaurant is terrible, it is all so hot is is clearly cooked in a microwave. There is an are next to the drinks fridge which is absolutely filthy. All rubbish stacked in filth.

On three consecutive occasions our order has arrived wrong. Three spoilt meals and real bad customer service. Very disappointing. Interesting how the owners immediate response is to always lie and say we didn't use the service or raise it to their intention. I am a regular reviewer which suggests that it isn't untrue. I review everywhere I use, maybe the owner could apologise rather that pretend it never happened. I have added an image of our last visit to show the lefts overs (there was a lot which people couldn't eat) PS - The owner have now changed their response to what should have been the initial response.

What a load of rubbish. The food was simply awful. The jars of sauce from the supermarket taste better.

Lovely experience for me and the family. The guys in there were accommodating, attentive and polite, and the food was spot on. Highly recommend you won't go wrong.

An excellent take away experience. Had a take away from here last Sunday and it was excellent experience. The food was delicious, nicely spiced and just as it should be for an A1 meal. Would highly recommend.

Have not been hear for some some after our last bad experience, we should have stayed away, this wasn’t much better. I asked what beer they had , he pointed to menu as I wanted a bottle , menu said bottle was £2.50 so I ordered one , At the end of the meal,I had to pull a long black hair from my Bhaji, I laughed it off until I had to do it again from the pakora, Then came the bill, £5.00 for the bottle of beer. The menu said £2.50. The receipt showed i was charged for a 660ml bottle (not on menu) yet the bottle was 650ml , We won’t be back anytime in near future

Far and away the best Indian in town, and to be honest given the current dire situation for dining in Dereham, its probably the best restaurant full stop. Nothing fancy, just good honest Indian grub. We are always delighted.

Delicious best indian in dereham without a doubt ! I tried the others to give them a try and just doesn't compare to the quality and flavours of bombay tandoori. Although i did miss my coconut rice due to i forgot to order it 🤦‍♂️.... but did get to try onion bhajis and they were really good....the veg samosas on the other hand 🥵🥵🥵 lol.... 10/10

Absolutely disgusting, gave 2 hours notice under booking name of Reed and pre-ordered this evening. My partner got there and waited an additional 30min whilst others who hadnt pre-ordered walked in got served and there food way before him. Got home with cold food, overcooked burnt chicken in both curry's, soggy naan and burnt extremely crispy onion bhaji's and samosas. £30 down the drain. That fact that your making out your customers are liars when I wouldn't have wasted my time writing the review I had if your food and service had been up to scratch, speaks volumes. We will not be using your services again.

Really quick delivery (after only 15 mins) BUT......... When the driver arrived my food was a total of £36.95. I gave the driver £40 and he said he didn't have change. He didn't even apologise for the lack of change. Had he of offered me my change I would of tipped him for being so quick. When I served the popadoms up they were soggy. The onion bhajis were way too greasy. The onion rice was far too greasy too. The balti I ordered had red peppers in which had no place to be there. The garlic and onions were raw and crunchy. If I could have given no stars then I would. I DEFINITELY would not recommend this place and certainly never use them again. The order was for Claire. Garlic chicken tikka balti x2 , popadoms and pickle tray, onion rice x2 and garlic chilli naan x2. The delivery was really quick which was excellent but as for the food it was appalling.

Staff were brilliant and very friendly. Food was delicious and good sizes. I have been to indian restaurants up and down the country and wouod definitely be going here again when i am in the area. The one critique I would give is that the restaurant floor could have a little less on it. I am guessing the kitchen is fairly small. This wasnt enoigh to drop a star, just an opinion. If you are in the area looking for somewhere to eat, give it a go. . . Reply The fridges/freezers on the restaurant floor would be better elsewhere. If it is a space thing then that's fine. It doesn't takeaway from the quality of food.

If you are looking to order a takeaway (and at the moment that’s about all you can do) don’t bother. I was quoted an hour for delivery and had to wait an additional 40 minutes before it arrived. And it wasn’t hot. Why is a town the size of Dereham so badly served by the Indian restaurants in town. Spice fusion is dire and the Bombay not much better.

It was my birthday so I invited my wife and 3 friends for a different evening. The place is very nice, the owner welcome you with a smile and a handshake. The staff is competent and very friendly. Very clean and comfortable.Food is very good and presented well. Cobra beer nice and served at the right temperature.Some of the main course was little bit cold but we enjoy very much our evening.Thank to all the staff to rend the evening special Giovanni

Friendly and welcoming staff at this good quality Indian restaurant. Good value meal enjoyed with efficient service in a clean and well presented dining room. Vegetable dhansak, tarka dal and plain rice and a half of Cobra for £15. Nothing wrong with that.

Had a lovely meal as usual. Great service well presented. Had an interesting chat with staff member about some of the spices used, the gentleman went out of his way to explain how spice is sourced and used. Very friendly restaurant.
