Al imans is our favourite go-to Indian food grill in Dereham. Food is always really tasty and very good portion size. Fast delivery and staff really friendly.

We ordered a delivery yesterday at 5.50pm and it took 2hrs to arrive. The food was cold, tasteless very salty. We won't be using this takeaway again

Food is always 10/10! Orders are always ready for collection time and piping hot. Never had to make a complaint and never had any dish missing from an order. The lamb is so tender and tonights dansak was amazing 😍

We placed and order which was delivered in good time. Unfortunately our Veg Korma was mixed up with another orders Chicken Order. I phoned immediately and the gentleman on the phone was so apologetic. My order was redeliver quickly. Mistakes happen but it was sorted out very quickly and with fantastic service. We have always used Al Imans and will certainly continue to do so.

For the second time I placed an order with this Indian takeaway for a collection order. I had a chicken Tika masala, one naan and 3 poppadoms. The staff asked if I was paying cash or card I replied "cash". The total of my order the first time was £16 for a pick up order which when I rang this evening for a second order with a duplicate order it was £13.20 which makes no sense. The original order was three weeks ago and talking to other customers of this place they agree I was over charged for a meal for 1 on first order. When speaking to staff today was not offered any refund or an apology. Will not be using this place again, I felt like I have been ripped off.

Third time ordering takeaway from here. Food is always superb and delivery quick, even to Bawdeswell. From ordering to eating in under an hour! Impressive!

Amazing food was a bit but got a call from the takeaway to let us know, the food was 10/10 the dansak to really nice tasked fresh the biriani was good and the nan was good nice size as other takeaways I’ve had the nan has been tiny so really pleased I will definitely be back and do highly recommend

Collected a takeaway from Al-Imans last night for the 1st time. Ordered at 5.45pm for collection at 6.45pm. Staff were polite and attentive, food was being packaged as we arrived for collection. It was delicious. Good sized portions, at a decent price and not swimming in sauce as is the case in many takeaways. We will definitely be using this place again.

Food is absolutely amazing and hot but never on time, ha e waited 3 hours before today for a delivery so far been waiting over 40 mins past specified delivery time tonight. We are regular customers, i think next time I'll order for at least half hour before I want it

Excellent, delicious Indian food, delivered to our village and piping hot. They have delivered where all else have failed to find us! We’ve been using Al Imans for a few years now and they have never let us down, the drivers are all very polite and always on time, excellent service!

Ordered for delivery at 5.15 today. Got confirmation email and money taken from account. Email says delivery will be within 45 mins and if longer to call. At 6.30 called restaurant to check if they had my order ok. No answer. Tried a few times , WhatsApp them and called that number and emailed. No response. Was seconds away from confirming a new order with another restaurant when delivery driver called to say close by at 7.40pm. Waste of time and money. Worst food ever! Burnt onion bhajis with a bag of chopped up onion and a pot of disgusting looking sauce. All the rest of the food cold and pretty grim. Only edible bit was rice and dhal. Really disappointed with food and terrible service. Won’t use again. Would be zero if I could give that

Absolutely shocking. Phoned for delivery at 6pm and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered at 9.10pm. Called them at 8:15 and supposedly it was being packed.....obviously a complete and utter lie. Now they are refusing to answer their phone

Good food but incredibly inconsistent with their delivery. Have ordered to Swaffham & Watton and been left waiting for food for over +2 hours. When we’ve called staff they’ve had no reason for the delay and no care for the inconvenience caused. Shouldn’t offer 45 minute delivery times if this can’t be achieved. Very disappointing and incredibly poor customer service.

We've had quite a few delicious takeaways from this great place. Really good service and excellent food. Dereham is really fortunate to have these guys. Good level of spiciness which is accurately described on the menu. Good veggie options too.

Had a takeaway. Best in many years. Usually disappointed by Indian restaurants, but this was a great meal. Rang them to order again last night - no answer. Saturday evening 6pm - open according to website etc. Went round there to check; no activity in restaurant but door was open. Upstairs windows open, sounds of life, but no response to shouted enquiries. Weird. Hope they get the act together because the food was terrific last time.

Been here three times in less than two weeks and each time the food has been Great. Aswell as being nice big portions with plenty of meat which I find being rather uncommon these days. And the delivery drivers arrived on time each time we ordered food from them. Would definitely recommend this place.

The food was delivered on time and accurate - however, the food was of very poor quality. Lots of oil used and food swimming in it. Motar Paneer was very strange using double cream and not much cheese in it at all. Puri was very hard and appeared precooked earlier. Not recommended due to standard of cooking.

Very bad customer service as very rude when I wanted a update on my order. It was going to be an hour after the online estimation. Was told they were busy as it’s a Saturday, surely they should just update the estimation knowing that it was busy. Gone for poor (two) as we cancelled the order and cooked something, which clearly it’s the point of a takeaway. A lower score of 1 wouldn’t be fair as it didn’t eat the food but the service wasn’t average so poor seems fair.

First time we ordered from you tonight, spoke to a very friendly guy, said we’d have to wait an hour which was fine but it arrived a lot earlier than we expected which was good & it was hot, we was a bit wary after we’d tried another takeaway nearer to us but it was awful but we found the food we bought from you was delicious, my only moan is I’d like the curry just a little more spicier & sauce a bit thicker & hubby would like the Nan bread a bit bigger 😋 Other than that we’ve no complaints, happy we found you, look forward to more meals from 😁

As loyal customers I'm really disappointed with our take away. We understood that new years eve on this year in particular that the restaurant would be extremely busy. And as advised by the restaurant we put in our family order early in the day with a preferred time of delivery. We also completely understood that this time would more than likely be variable, however, it was over an hour late. With young kids to feed we actually cooked for them at home in the end! When the food did arrive it was again disappointing. Everything was much below par and the saag aloo was literally inedible as we couldn't even get a fork through the potatoes! I don't enjoy leaving a review like this on a rstsursnt we've enjoyed throughout the years but I feel they let us down. They obviously took on too many orders to cope which could have been avoided and focus should have been on delivering quality food to fewer people. Our next Indian takeaway will be from elsewhere.

Al Iman is the best Indian takeaway you will find - ANYWHERE!! Fantastic!! Hamsa, Mohammed and the rest of the staff are just simply the best! The food is always excellent and the service (I always collect) is brilliant. Everyone there, including the drivers, has got time to chat and smile with you. Never had a complaint - and I’ve been using them since day one. KEEP IT GOING, AL IMAN!!

I've used this place many times, always received a nice meal and it was hot. The drivers always find my house ok even though it's hard to find. I just leave a note with directions at the end. I would definitely recommend.

Indian takeaway done properly. They aren't greedy like most Indian takeaways. Prices are fair and if you pay cash and collect you get a further 10% discount. I look forward to having my fortnightly curry from Al-Iman's. I've tried all the Indian restaurants in Dereham, this is hands down the best and by far the cheapest. The only small complaint I would have is that most Indian takeaways throw a poppadom or two into the bag and some chutneys but at unusually sensible prices as these I can't fairly deduct points for not getting complimentary items. So remember to order your poppadoms. The Phall is one of the mildest I've ever attempted but totally do - able for spice lovers. Worth noting this is takeaway only. Friendly owner too, despite being constantly busy. Thumbs up from me.

I order a takeaway to Beetley about 4 times a month and it’s always great! Arrives in great time, service with a smile and always hot.I’ve been ordering for nearly two years now and have only ever had two issues but I rang and spoke to the staff and it was sorted brilliantly and straight away, we all make mistakes. Food is always great tasting!! Great customer service! Currently waiting for an order now! Highly recommended

Excellent indian been going there for years never had a bad one yet !! The specials are really good and they will spice up or down to taste top guys !!

Not quite as good as the Dereham Bombay but perfectly adequate for a quick grab and go takeaway. I wouldn't say the food is excellent in comparison to a decent sit down restaurant but as the nearest ones are either the Bombay which can be hit and miss and the Fusion which is just miss you need to travel to Yaxham to find one. it certainly beats the service at Spice fusion and the food is favourably comparable.

We Have food from Al Imans regularly. IT always smells and tastes fantastic. It's great to be able to see the food cooked fresh while you're waiting. The app is easy to use for online ordering, they can take card payments over the phone and the service is always polite and efficient. Highly recommend.

Every time I've ordered from here it's been amazing! The best korma and coconut rice I've ever had and you get so much food for your money in the deals. Delivery time isn't as long as some other local takeaways either which is great. Highly recommend

Amazing food all the time never disappoint

Ordered a takeaway for 5 people via the website. Order was immediately confirmed by email with an estimated delivery time of an hour. Ok it was a Saturday night but an hour and three quarters later was a bit excessive. Food is good but everything else was poor.

Mo and Hamza run a great take away. We have one a week so must be good!

Went here this evening as fancied a change, went inside to order as was in the area , noticed staff had dirty hands and finger nails one of the cooks had a long beard and it had no beard net or hair net on, also saw another member of staff come out of the toilet and went straight into the kitchen area upon seeing all of this I left the place quicker than a cockroach running away from under their fridge, very poor hygiene standards would rate 0 stars but I can't as 1 star is the lowest rating

This take away was recommended to us and we drove to order our meal as we wanted to see where it was and a 10% discount is offered for cash collections. We found they do deliver to our area and will most likely order in that way next time (& there will be a next time) very friendly staff and a busy takeaway. The food was good and plentiful (enough to save some for lunch tomorrow)

We have a great choice of Chinese home deliveries but not Indian , so this was a surprise we decided to try. Ordered chicken tikka, naan, rice and sauces. It came quickly and hot and really well cooked, it was lovely. The meal deals are fantastic value. Hoping the next is as good.

We ordered a take away tonight - I had delicious Tarka Dhal and Bindi Bhaji (best Dahl in Dereham, I would say) and my husband had a lamb biriani which was really nice and plenty of it too. Haven't tried this before but would certainly go back there...nice to see that Dereham has such a good takeaway to offer.

Not least of all because I'm a chubster with a serious thing for prawns.They're really lovely, theres been times for example I've paid only but accidentally selected collecton, and they will give me a call to make sure its meant for collection as most people who pay online want delivery.
