The best restaurants in Bedford East of England

Super friendly staff and a pretty welcoming pub. There’s a small amount of seating outside, but overlooking the carpark doesn’t make it the most relaxing of spaces, With plenty of screens inside though it’s the perfect spot to catch up with sport and I’d happily visit again.

I have ordered food quite a few times from here. The website says a meal for one is in a large container, I have ordered a few times and it only came in a large container once, it comes in a small container, so the description on the website is misleading. We usually order a set meal for two, but have stopped ordering this as the duck in it was very dry on more than one occasion. The Curry is great if you like onions (its mostly onions) and very watery. I think it depends on who is cooking, and on what night you order, as it varies quite a bit Overall the food is very very good from here, freshly cooked and piping hot, not a bit greasy, we cannot complain even although many times they get the order wrong. A great Chinese takeaway, but check what they give you.

Had a large pizza and chicken wings - both piping hot and very tasty. Collected ourselves rather than relying on delivery and the offers seemed better on collections. Not a bad price as we ordered the pizza on a deal (large pizza for £12.99) and it then offered us the wings at a reduced price at checkout. All together about £17. Don’t know why Dominoes insist on inflating their prices and then offering these so called “deals”. Just reduce the prices to a reasonable level so we know what we’re paying!

Most photos are of the park which is about at least 5 minutes down the road & not joined to the pub. I believe photos & info should be made clear, you can not enjoy a drink while your kids play in this park.

This is my local takeaway and have been getting the chicken from here for 2 years. Best peri peri chicken ive ever had. Chicken is cooked and tastes amazing. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. The wraps are great too. Very good price for the food.

The service of the waiters is fantastic, they were very attentive. The venue is very nice, modern and nicely decorated. Unfortunately the food was not as I was expecting, in my opinion the pad Thai and red curry was not authentic Thai food and was bland. The starter king prawn was very nice though. All in all a nice venue and friendly staff, but for authentic thai food it is not the best.

The cheese and tuna panini was good but the chicken tikka masala one was awful, more like a ketchup sauce, very sharpe, not nice atall.

Cakes are large, but the quality has dropped. Calvery is good, onion gravy, but they charge more for extra Yorkshire

Great food service weren’t the best good parking

First visit in about 6 years. It's expanded a little but has not lost any of its charm. Sat on the banks of the river Ouse with ample seating inside and out. Numbered tables. Order at till and your food/drinks are brought to you. Very nicely cooked food. A little higher in price but then the quality and quantity is better than others I've had in the area. Recommended.
