As it reopened I thought I’ll give it a try again, but I wish I didn’t it was terrible once again poor service, poor food

Good taste at affordable price. Must try Tikka biriyani, Masala wings and chicken pakora.

Very small portion of chicken tikka jalafrezi. Does not worths 10 pounds for barely half of tray of chicken pieces excluding roti/naan what is priced separately. Bedford have more opportunities to find a takeaway with fair portions of food adequate to the price.

Desi Grill are always really good in terms of their food and overall service. Been ordering from them for 8 years+ and they never disappoint.

Ordered chicken & lamb tikka kebabs (one with chips and one with naan). Very happy with our respective meals - the meat was cut into chunks that were pretty sizeable, there were plenty of each and were really tender. Thumbs up here :)

The keema naans are nice and spicy. The chicken doner is tender and well seasoned too.

Desi special pizza I tasted that was delicious...Peproni lover pizza and American pizza these all were tasty😋I liked all of them and my family friends as well..... And try garlic naan as well.... I recommend everyone to buy from Desi grill.... Service was amazing everyone is such a nice person...

Ordered mixed kebab. The guy gave 10% chicken and 20% donner and just piled a load chips on. I don't think these guys can do anything right. They weren't even that busy.

lovely mixed spicey kebab...only was handful of chips though. would of liked abit more chips. Also I love there Massala wings.

School boy error on my part and I ordered to my brother's. Quick call to the store and it was sorted. On to the food, excellent as always (we rarely order on a Saturday, usually Friday) Spicy Donner meat and chips is really exceptional at the moment. Only wish is that the chicken and chips was better wrapped. Love your food and service Gaz the Photographer

Can't fault speed of delivery but food wise it was just 'ok'. First time we've come here. Don't get me wrong, we ate it all, but like I said, pretty average sadly.

Ordered spicy doner and received doner meat with chips and some chilli sauce on it. Never ordering again nor recommend to anyone else . 1 start is to much for what i have received.

If I could give minus 1 I would. Terrible food do not order. Ordered 2 pizzas one desi grill& Magerita, chips and keema Nan. The desi one came with barely any toppings and the nan had no keema. We complained the man on the phone was extremely rude and put the phone down on us twice. Bad service.

Ordered spicy mix kebab in naan and chips. Kebab and chips were cold, Small portion and overpriced. The customer service was very poor. Please avoid.

The driver took a further 40 minutes after just eat said it was delivered. The food is stone cold and disgusting!! So so annoyed at this after spending £40 on food for a family birthday.

The food was late and cold. The chips were stale. Inedible. burger was cold and basic. No salad just lettuce.

I had a spicy mixed doner and chips. The doner was fantastic and was fresh, the chips was alright, they are kind of the standard boring chips. Quantity was decent. The place was not that good looking though. They need to increase the standards of how the place looks. Recommend only take away. But they do have a 5 star rating now.

Got vegetable pakora instead of chicken pakora. They were soggy and cold. Samosa was also cold and extremely oily, barely edible. The Bombay aloo was delicious and remained warm as it was in a metal tray and not a foam box like the pakora and samosa. Cheeseburger was ok, donner meat was ok.

This was the worst curry I've ever had. Chicken wasn't cut from breast as it was very fatty and pink. Ordered a keema naan and only received plain naan.

The worst food I had today. Such a bad taste and the quality was poor. I believe that chicken items were not fresh and was a bit smelly. Started stomachache and loose stool after having this food.

As usual, Desi's food, service & delivery was spot on. I normally get a meat feast for my other half & a Veggie pizza for me (I'm not vegetarian but it's just so gorgeous!) and we mix and match but this time, I swapped the veggie for a Desi Special with Jalepeno. I think in future the order's going to have to be a Veggie & a Special. LUSH! They don't skimp on toppings, the cheese goes right to the edge and the dipping sauces that come with it are just the icing on the delicious cake. Nice one Desi Grill!

Pathetic, ordered 10 parathas and had to bin the whole lot beacuse they were extremely salty, it couldnot be eaten.

Ordered a Chicken Vindaloo but was sent a Lamb Vindaloo

The blandest curry I have ever tasted. If you closed your eyes and threw chicken and salt and tomatoes into a pot it would of tasted a hundred times better. Also tables were dirty while I was waiting. My stomach wasn't great the next day. Literally biggest waste of £20 ever. How does this place stay open?

Chicken kebab meat was dried out and consisted of hard chewy lumps - it was not enjoyable and made me I’ll - will not be returning

Food was hot and chunky chips were awesome, but the rest of the food was very salty with little flavour

Food was good but not upto the mark and quantity of butter chicken was very less.

Orders three kacup sauces but only got one . Chips were old and cold and looked fried yesterday. Had to ring to get update and was told to wait until next year for delivery.

Pizzas delicious as usual. I've said it before but Desi's has completely converted me from a 'meh' attitude to pizza to a 'I really want a Pizza' but only as far as THEIR pizzas go. They're tasty, moist and they don't skimp on the ingredients. Even my son commented last time he was here that the toppings went right to the edge. Another thumbs up for the Desi staff!

Food 45 minutes late arrived cold ! Kebab just pure grease ! The chicken wasnt cooked properly and the curry so spicy we couldnt eat it !! Never again !

The dansak should be tangy sweet and slightly spicy, but this was not the case it was just super spicy and not very flavoursome didn’t have any pineapple in it at all, sorry. The lamb and lamb saag both had similar flavours very bland, you can tell it’s made from paste rather than actual spices. These two dishes were not spicy thankfully but were also not great tasting either, sorry. The butter chicken was really nice though. The portion size was fine however the lamb pieces were very big maybe cutting the cubes slightly smaller would be better. The meal deal was really good offer and we will be getting food here again so it’s not all bad Just some of the flavours need some work that’s all.

Missing items and small portions not worth it

I would give 0 if I could AVOID AVOID BEWARE OF FOOD POISONING ordered chicken kebab last night and am paying for it. The food is awful and would not eat here ever again. You would not be able to pay me to eat her again.

Food quality was average, the meat was dry and parts of it overcooked. Chicken pieces were poor and went straight to the bin. Based on the overall experience, I won't order again.

Ordered the spicy chicken burger that’s supposed to be dipped a a special spicy sauce. (Couldn’t taste the spicy sauce or see it). The fillet its self was not nice at all tasted as if it was one of them ready made frozen patties that they have just cooked and served it. It was definitely not a fresh fillet that they battered themselves as stated. Tried this place years ago and wasn’t nice and gave them a second chance but still disappointing years later. For the prices they charge the quality of food was rubbish and to top it off the wipe the give you can’t be used as it rips. If you can’t afford to provide better quality wipes stick to tissues it does a better job! Ordered 2 burgers and one stayed as it is so will end up in the bin.

I was sent the wrong order...meat was chewy

We order regularly from desi grill and are always satisfied but today I tasted the grilled chicken and kabab and had to throw it all away. It was so bad tasting and I am so disappointed.

Ultimately it comes down to personal preference so here’s my view. The pizza is the standard kebab shop pizza: greasy and stodgy, perfect when hung over but to be honest just not my thing. The spicy doner, on the other hand, was just amazing. Really delicious and well spiced and just lovely. My only suggestion is to pack the chips separately, a paper bag would do (no need for extra boxes) so that the chips won’t get so soggy. Next time I will try the curry because I have a feeling they make a good one.
