shame I have ordered from here multiple times and usually really good. I been waiting 2 hours and no food. phoned restaurant and they said it's been delivered to a corner house which my house is not. then line went dead.

the fish was missing and a plan sausage it was a small order I don't understand how one meal could only be sent

Takeaway fish and chips. We are having a kitchen refurbishment and nothing to cook on. We fancied fish and chips so I googled and this place delivered. Huge piece of cod in crisp batter. I had crisp cod balls. Fresh hot chips with salt and vinegar. Delivered to our door. Possibly the best fish and chips we've had in a long time. Thought they'd be warm and a bit soggy as delivered. We'll definitely have this again. Thank you it was gorgeous

best takeaway I have had in a long time . fresh food . good amount, absolutely grate quality. it's hard to find goos pita bread, it was not to dry and most of all not to thick. was able to wrap my meat up nicely with it.

Food was absolutely delicious and delivery was prompt and polite. The only criticism is I think £8.99 for delivery is a little excessive. Otherwise top marks.

Horrible food, those chips were evil. The fish was not fresh and the butter wasn't crunchy. It went straight to the bin and we had to order for another place. Delivery was late and I called to ask what time would it arrive, and they hung up. How are you still open is beyond my understanding

not sure if it's because the order was rushed(and arrived 30mins early), but I ordered lamb doner and chicken shish, and we got lamb and chicken doner. I was hungry so ate it anyway, but it wasn't nice. The lamb doner, and everything else was quite alright, but not up to the usual yumminess that we are used to!

the chips were very good but unfortunately the cod was flat like a pancake but the batter was good but flat also.

I had a kebab today in the shop and was delicious.The girl works there made sure we are happy with food and I will recommend all my friends.

Absolutely poor takeaway place. First of all, there was 2 women serving and they didn’t have a clue what they were doing at all. Didn’t understand any orders, didn’t know how to make them. They were not trained, very unprofessional. I can’t believe they were left alone to serve people when they never done this before. Also, the food was terrible! Never had such a dry meat in a takeaway place. Everything about the experience was shocking. Such a waste of time and money. Never coming back and I’m gonna make sure to tell family and friends about this bad place!!!! So so so shockingly bad!!!!

Place is NOT 100% halal. When you ask them they do not say this. Was told recently by their staff that the pies are not halal meat. Has left me a bit wary and decided it's better to avoid.

Food was high quality. There was a mistake made with a drink which I called up about. They immediately said they would send someone out with the correct drink. I said there was no rush yet less than 15 mins after I started calling there was somebody at the door with the correct item. When I tried to hand the incorrect item back I was told that I could keep it as a goodwill. Used fishermen’s on multiple occasions because it is my ‘go to chippy’ having had no issues previously and after todays 10/10 service will undoubtedly continue to use them in the future.

The chip portion size has reduced, did come wrapped in paper before but now served in a cardboard box. The fish was okay but not as thick as before. The Turkish naan bread just tasted of grease. Ordered salad and sauce with the shish, it was missing. Not as good as in the past, might try somewhere else next time which is a shame as it was fantastic.

Chips were stale. Fish was covered in grease. This place went downhill fast...

Placed an order for fish and chips and kebabs to be delivered. Unfortunately the Turkish flat bread was stale, the chips were undercooked ( seemed like the oil was not hot enough) the batter on the fish tasted horrible. This is the first bad review that I’ve done. Don’t think we will be getting food from there again

Hi, I have to say that I was very displeased with the way I'm been served. To be honest, it is better not to order any food online from this this place. The way they prepared me food is so unprofessional. It was as though they did not want to serve me food. Look it for yourself what am talking about. First of all, how does wrap look like this not wrapped very well from the ad picture? and how does kebab look different from the ad picture? the burger was quite bad. Whoever prepared this food is such a failure and needs to be fired. The chips quite good but the least to be honest something that is my 1st time to taste you guys had to ruin it all. And what kind of veggies is this? to be honest this will be the last time I will order Fisherman's fast food. Well done, you've lost a customer. Guys do not order food online. Ridiculous £4 for delivery..I regretted to have ordered this place but no more. Utter disgust with the way I've been served. The fact that I ordered 2nd time the uber driver seemed to be upset to have come to drop me again. Imagine if I had ordered the 3rd time. Am sorry but this needs to get 1 star from me. Do a better job next time and of course there won't be next time for me to order online. Funny thing is that they do well in your presence than they do in order in your absence. Absolutely ridiculous to have spent more than £50. It won't happen ever with me I guarantee you.

I ordered chicken doner and chicken Shish with salad and they send me some disgusting rice with lamb doner and some kinda chicken and no salad , maybe staff they don’t understand English and simple order

Best fish and chip shop in Bedford but not as good as the Wigmore in Luton.

I ordered fish and chips it was good but the oil they use is not so good as leaves a bad after taste. But staff was really helpful and overall good food.

Decent but definitely room for improvement. I ordered a doner meat and chips with cheese! This cost me £9! I couldn't fault the portion size or the quality of the doner meat which is miles better than most other places in Bedford. My criticism is that cheese wasn't fresh and bossman put the cheese and chips in the microwave for a second before adding the doner. Now I don't care how many good reviews you've got that's a major red flag for me and a sign of a laziness. Small details is were you win or lose guys. Cheese wasn't fresh and had a funky taste. Spoilt the whole dish to be honest. Can't fault the kebabs or Turkish bread but the cheesey chips were awful.

Cok guzel. This use to be my regular place for Turkish food. However now live in Antalya but I recommend this place to anyone in Bedford.

Great takeaway! I would highly recommend their kebabs and couscous. I have ordered a wrap with chicken and halloumi cheese on this occasion which tasted absolutely amazing. Very clean and lovely staff, will highly recommend.

Just ordered two shish kebabs for the first time from this place, and I can say that it was hands down one of the best kebabs Ive ever had in my life! And I've had many! It was made with care and attention and with all the trimmings, seasoned beautifully, perfectly cooked - absolutely delicious. You will not find a better shish kebab

Just walking in the area and saw this place. Decide to order a mid afternoon snack which was a tray of chips. Had a wait 10 mins as these were being freshly cooked and I can say it was well worth the wait. Nice hot big chunky fresh chips which were very tasty , regular size was plenty for me as well. Thank you for the great friendly service.

Visiting Bedford and dropped in for a chippie for myself and family. All members of staff were very polite and chatty. In fact while waiting for my order one of the staff did some amazing close up card tricks ! Brilliant. Oh, and the food was amazing as well. HUGE portions, hot and delicious.

Just received our order 25/8/ 2020 Food took an hour and a half to arrive. Rang them and they said it will be there in 5mins . Rang again told 5mins. Customer service left a lot to be desired low key rude. When food arrived it was very cold must have come via London! Never ever again!

First time ordering from here. With the reviews I had read, I was expecting good things. Delivery time was good. Food however was not great.. The chips were pale and chewy, almost felt like I was eating 2 day old chips. It really put me off. Battered sausage was ok. Won't be ordering again though.

Probably the best kebab shop in Bedford. I think there are better options in regards to fish and chips in Bedford and the burger meals are nothing to write home about. But you won't get a better kebab, slightly more expensive then other kebab shops in the area, but the quality always speak for itself. Owner takes great pride in given the best possible product to the customer. Best place for kebabs in Bedford.

Have ordered/eaten from here about 5 times now and each order has been of the same great quality. Team in house are friendly and delivery was within 45mins (i live other side of town compared to the location of the shop). Definitely recommend, the rice type thing they do is delicious with a kebab! Also ordered burgers and fish/chips which have been amazing! Great to have these guys in Bedford

Yeah this kebab was legitimately the best kebab ive had since a heavy holiday in corfu, smashed into a kebab on a come down, it hit all the right spots. If ye get me, anyways this kebab was just like that and i was bloody sober ! So yeah. Go and get this kebab and enjoy. Extra flavour from the Turkish sweat. 5 stars.

First time ordering from here, food was amazing and perfect size portions, fish was very thick flakes and massive for a medium cod I would live to see the size of the large cod lol all and all very good food and will order from there again

I never leave reviews but I had to for this place! We ordered a Bursa Kabab and it was amazing! The staff where lovely, even gave us extra naan and coleslaw which went perfectly with it. We will definitely be ordering again, thank you.

First time ordering food here. Rang for a delivery and it was delivered within half an hour. Fish and chips were hot, fresh, and delicious. Portions are huge!!! We had 3 haddock and 2 medium chips. Would easily feed 4 people. Would highly recommend this place and I will certainly Oder again.

normally the food is soot on,again tonight was spot on even though 1hr30 mins delivery which I was ok with as great quality food.However they hot my order wrong and said be 20 mins to resend thebwrong food but tbh as a fam meal I want all food replaced but understand times are not great so re deliver the wrong order and give £10 goodwill as was £40 order but once said this to guy on phone the manager he was speaking to refused and hung up.Great food albeit wrong but customer service was appalling.Im sure face to face he will be different and sure all the people I have told how great u are will feel differently now.CHEERS B

we had fish and chips for my mums birthday the fish was lovely and flaky and the batter very crisp and not greasy. I have also had a mixed kebab which was amazing and seved with fresh salads and sauces. This is the best kebab i have had for a long time and will be my regular take away from now on. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was ready and hot for the time we had ordered.

I was not happy with the delivery service to my house I phoned up and ordered it at 8.39pm and it come at 9.40pm and it come cold to me so I sent it back and Insisted on some hot food and I went and got it but I Insisted on Discount because it took too long to come and it was cold when it got here

First time at fisherman's chip shop.. our car was parked opposite.. we decided to pop in for a bag of chips.. ended up coming out with a kebab after the owner gave us a few samples of different meats whilst waiting for our chips.. owner and staff very welcoming and would highly recommend to anyone who's passing, as the food was amazing.. we will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend that you do not order anything from here I wasn't very pleased with the food and not only that my son began to feel unwell after eating it I did try to call them on the first day they didn't answer the phone so I called them on the second day responding to the reply they sent me but he was very rude basically he didn't acknowledge anything that I was saying to him

I had very nice chips on all the occassions I came here in the evening. Fresh fish as well as kebabs are on offer.

We just wanted to find a place to get a nice doner kebab. Stumbled across this place and was blown away by the super friendly owner and his staff. He recommended we try the doner with couscous and that was definitely a good decision - it was thick and had an amazing texture full of flavour not like the sad bland cous cous from a posh white girl's lunch box. In addition the salad was full of flavour with a variety of veggies more so than the average kebab shop possibly more authentic although I wouldn't be the one to know. Either way it tasted fresh and delicious. Which leads us onto the bread- holy moly they smothered it in butter while it heated over the charcoal, that really was delicious and not something I've personally seen before in a kebab shop. The chips were also really good, never usually something to write home about but these hit the spot perfectly and I'd rank them highly by fish and chip shop standards. The owner who told us to call him "uncle" very generously gave us a load of different sauces to try, I'm not sure if they do this with every customer but we were very happy to receive them. I'll be coming back to this place regularly with my mate and we look forward to trying more stuff on the menu.

Customer service is amazing, the food me and my other half has was so tasty and the portions were huge even when I got full up I couldn't stop eating. I had a chicken shish kebab other half had a lamb dinner and we are hooked on this place now. And is very clean.

Owner of the establishment was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his food which was reassuring. Let us try various meats which was also appreciated. Food was wonderful, best takeaway I’ve had from bedford. My only complaint is that my chips were missing, my partner received hers but I didn’t get mine so I lost a few pounds, but thankfully the portion size was good and I didn’t miss them too much. Would definitely come again, just a shame about the chips.

Usually order from just eat but went in as was passing. Staff were friendly and polite. Food was usual good standard, kebabs best in Bedford by far and when I've had fish and chips in previous orders, they were good and oil was fresh. Very nice that they give you Turkish bread and rice with the kebabs. They very kindly included free extras with our order and generous amounts of salad and sauce. Excellent value for good quality food. Highly recommended.

Strongly recommend it. Love the food, ate quite a few times and service and food never disappoint us. It's my son's favourite. Whenever we go the main uncle of the restaurant always give extra food and make things specially for the costumers. This time he gave us cheesy naan which was delicious and loved by my son immensely. Portions are generous always whether its rice meat or salad. Hygiene standards are always excellent.

Hair in food...chips dry...burgers dry...curry sauce was watery and cold... I asked for a normal salad on burger but they decided to put salad with a dressing on that my partner couldn't eat so burger went in the bin...1st time ordering from here and won't be ordering from here again... shocking

The owner saw I was new. Gave me a taster plate to try the food out. We got chicken shisha, lamb shish, adana and a cheese burger. He put in loads of salad n sauces. Delicious and will be a regular for us now.
