Service was outstanding, really lovely, attentive staff. I went for the first time since I moved here 5 years ago. I think it's because the image deserves a refresh. A lick of paint and a tidy up would make it a lot more inviting. I left feeling I'd eaten too much fried food (had the duck dim sum meal for 2), although there were also some salad dishes. I prefer somewhere else locally but I reckon if there were a refreshed visage I might try again. A friend raved about the place and said it's better in a big group than as just two people! Try the wife cake!

The Smugglers is a great old traditional Pub in Hullbridge. Truly a hidden gem near the River. Beer prices are reasonable & Max the Bar Manager is epic works like 3 people behind the bar 🍻. Great venue with live music played most weekends.

*Copy of my Google Maps review* Freshly made in-house food including cakes. I had not tried any of their hot food but the cakes are great! I am especially happy that they have a good selection of vegan suitable and gluten free options including sandwiches and cakes. A tad pricy but worth it to support the small business and great quality. Outdoor seating with a picturesque riverside view of Paper Mill lock. Pictures attached of the view from near the tearooms. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cakes Vegetarian & vegan offerings Large vegetarian selection with some nice vegan options too Dietary restrictions Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options for sandwiches and cakes. Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Paid parking lot Parking Parking behind the tearoom. Not exclusive to the tearoom as it is for entry to the lock. ÂŁ5 entry fee (ÂŁ2.50 from 2:30pm - 5pm when i visted)

We called into the Secret Garden whilst visiting Sudbury for the first time, having looked at other dog friendly eateries we found this treasure just off the main area of town Really friendly greeting and efficient service, even an individual bowl of water for our small dog The food was beautifully prepared and served, pork pate with side salad and home cooked sourdough bread, and also mackerel pate with horseradish served on sourdough with side salad A peaceful location although busy with an lovely menu, we will return - thank you all đź‘Ť

Mean Spirited - The first experience of taking along a birthday cake for a close friends 60th birthday to be told we can light it but you can’t eat it here!!! Should point out that the food we did eat was great, but this won’t be our venue of choice for future celebrations.. shame.

I haven't been to Dunwich for about 15 years. I remember there used to be a great tea room back then that my mother recommended! This must have long since gone! We had walked cross country from Southwold forgetting what a long walk it is We discovered dingle tea rooms at the end of the walk in a rural setting. It's a lovely setting with extensive barns and tables. Having frequented similar establishments in other parts of the country I thought we were in for a treat Nothing was wrong with the food it was just a little uninspiring. Very plain cakes and prawn sandwiches made from those tiny prawns you buy trozen. All nicely served by attentive waiting staff it just lacked that lush factor that you sometimes find in these sort of places. Maybe my expectations were too high.....

Such a lovely old country pub full of character and charm. The manager Emma is very warm and welcoming. The menu is extensive and I had trouble deciding what to have, I had the chicken curry that was very tasty and so much lean chicken in it. Lovely fluffy yellow rice and naan bread with mango chutney, very yummy. Definitely going to visit again soon

One of my favourite places to visit in felixstowe. We went for there first ever Christmas day dinner and as we knew we would enjoyed everything from start to finish, lovely welcoming relaxing atmosphere with perfect food and service. Would love to come again Christmas day. Thank you Lisa and the team for always making us welcome

Walked in at 14.56, told young girl order, she then said sorry we are not serving coffee now because we close in 4 minutes. If you are open until 15.00 then should be served takeaway hot drinks up until then. No sign to say they stop serving takeaway coffee before they close.

In summary, The Bell made our long weekend break. We stumbled in by accident and were greeted by Carole, who made us feel welcome although we were staying elsewhere. Carole was so natural and brought such warmth to the establishment, we came back for lunchtime drinks, then booked for dinner next day. The roast was superb and service was perfect, so we came back for breakfast the next day. Again, superb food. Could not recommend enough for service, quality of food and value.

Visited today for lunch, overpriced and poor quality even the tomato ketchup is cheap version. Was asked when went to pay how it was, when I gave the feedback quietly the manager was extremely rude and loud and tried to justify everything. This is probably the worst customer experience I have come across and if she continues that way, they deserve to have no customers and be closed down. Greasy tables and greasy menus also, not sure when it last had a decent clean.
