We went to the Athens Grill after a visit to the cinema at Derbion. We had read the many good reviews online so we were really looking forward to trying it. We ordered the mixed grill for two people. After a lovely hot drink the very pleasant and friendly woman in the restaurant brought out a big plateful of grilled meat. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with most of the meat kebabs on the plate. We found the majority of the meat very dry. We didn't say anything at the time, though we should have done. We left a tip on the bill as the service had been so friendly. We also brought some of the leftover kebabs home as It seemed a shame to waste so much food. I decided against eating it at home as it would have been even worse after reheating it. Needless to say we shall not be going back again.

Cost pub with lovely beer and a great atmosphere.

The Sunday roast was delicious! You had everything to choose from at the carvery and very reasonable prices. It is a traditional old pub would definatley recommend.

This is the place to go for the best fish & chips, and believe you me, we are fussy. We usually have Cod and Chips. The Cod is always white, the batter is always crispy. Chips could do with a bit longer but that's how we like them. 10/10

Would just like to give a special thank you to the man with dark hair partly up in a bun (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) for being so kind. Also, the Father Christmas is absolutely wonderful, one of the best I’ve seen. We always like the stables especially since the new ownership - I especially love the chocolate sponge cake with icing on top - so chocolatey! Dog friendly, child friendly and just all around a great place.

Food was OK. Steak was tough no offers of any sauces on menu. Chicken on the pasta didn't looked cooked and there wasn't much sauce which was a shame as it was had a nice flavour. Pasta was stuck together. Garlic bread Slices was soft never had soft garlic bread before. But tasted ok.onions rings were nice.side salad was good. Lasagne tasted like frozen not fresh wasn't particular hot. Chipes were nice as they were homemade! Food came out super quick. Drinks we ok but no presentation in lemonade & lime no ice, no straw. The lady served us was nice. But etiquette for staff needs attention. There 7 of them standing in bar area chatting talking about travellers thanks that's family. Just seemed rude as it was like sitting in a staff room and rather of putting hearing their conversations! Isnt good. After we paid, they didnt even say thanks or good buy just left us to walk out. While still chatting They never asked how the food was once, which was a shame. As photos of it look lovely. They did fit us in quickly, which was good. Place is nicely decorated.

Great cafe amongst triumphs historical hardware. Love the engine wall containing all the motors from the Bloor era.

Nice friendly shop with a small queue for a Friday night. Good crispy batter and well cooked chips.

Was really lovely, from the food to the aesthetics. Had been given a lot of complimentary foods. Food was well cooked, workers were really kind and the waiting time wasn’t long at all. 10/10 for me!
