Called in here with friends for breakfast, must admit best breakfast I've had in a long time plus excellent value 👌

Stepped in this lovely little pub last week, 1st time in my 45yrs... what a lovely atmosphere and welcoming, friendly staff & customers that engaged in conversation (not stuck to their phones or throwing sharp looks)... didn't know about the carvery or doing food so will be defo returning to sample that!! 😋

Visited with a friend to try the new menu last week. Bustling little bar area of a country pub very welcoming. Lots of local history. 2 rooms to eat in, we chose the best side which was very quiet and private, we ate at around 5 on a week day. Great choice of menu available, i went for lasagne. Fresh, full of flavour and good value for money. Drinks are affordable and ive had some great parties there over the years as they do room hire. Also a beer garden for the long awaited summer months (good gin menu!!) Lovely local pub, dog and child friendly. Warm welcome guaranteed

A fantastic pub with friendly, welcoming staff, a relaxed atmosphere and a great menu to choose from - it's good to see the kitchen open and serving food again! My friend and I had tea here after a competition win and we both throughly enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty, well presented and piping hot with decent portion sizes. We're looking forward to future visits so we can work our way through the menu. Definitely recommend! 😋

Popped in for half while I was walking. First time I've ever been and the ladies behind the bar where lovely. I didn't know they did food so I will be back.

Came for the Big Daddy Burger Challenge. Needless to say, didn't manage it! Staff were fantastic and looked after my lad even when the kitchen was super busy. Food was great! Will deffo be back.. But not for the challenge.

What a breath of fresh air to the village. Paul and Sarah really have turned this pub around through time and money mostly out of their pockets. New menu coming soon. Very welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great place.

Beautiful homemade pie,great potions for the price, the dirty fries were to die for! lovley friendly service and atmosphere through out and there were even some kids games to keep them occupied :)

Proper Boozer with friendly locals great staff and made to feel welcome by the Landlady. Good drink at decent prices. Nice warm real fire in the winter. 🤘👍

The White Swan has become the pub of choice for both my family and colleagues. This was my 5th visit this year and as ever, the food was AMAZING. It really is a hidden gem, I can't believe it's not busier. Great prices and huge portions in a lovely setting. Give it a go, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Visited for Sunday lunch for the first time today. Excellent food, large portions, very tasty and piping hot and served with a big jug of gravy. Managed pudding and that was also very tasty. Great value for money at a lovely village pub with great friendly staff.

Have been many times. Great value meals. Love the vegan burger off the menu and also the Sunday lunch. They will do a vegan Sunday lunch if you give them a few days notice, I usually ring to book at the start of the week. Also, great value toddler bowl of Sunday lunch. My little ones loves it. Love the Rosie's Pig cider too. Friendly staff and cosy pub.

Been here a few times now food bang on every time both weekly menu and Sunday lunch, defo worth a try!! Not sure about the owners car outside tho 😂

We went to the white swan Pleasley for a meal .my wife and me had a 10ozs gammon steak.And again Paul as done me that is 4 or 5 times we have been for a meal.And I have never been able to finish one and e every time the food and service as been very, very.good and we will be back .

4.5 out of 5 would be a fairer mark for The White Swan. Great to see a log fire burning, very welcome on what was a foul night. Lovely food, huge portions and very reasonable prices. Only about a mile from home, will definitely return in better weather to check out the beer garden.

My husband and I called here for Sunday lunch. And to be totally honest. The food was very poor.. Luke warm, frozen veg, small servings will not call again to expensive for what we had.

Absolutely love this place, always on hand for anything, the food is always of generous portions and cooked to perfection. Sara and Paul are great hosts and the atmosphere is always welco9. Dogs all sizes are always welcome and always get given treats, the kids love going and checking out the fairy garden that's been created. And the outside area is covered and has heaters. Keep up the good work guys.

Called in after looking at a cottage just up the road for a pint Will be moving in soon (the cottage not the pub) although it's a toss up as to which one I will spend more time in 🤣🤣 seriously staff were great and food looked excellent. Can't wait to try it

Good old fashioned pub with a nice atmosphere.

Been here today with my fella and my mum, I had the tikka mum had the jumbo haddock and my fella had the hunter's chicken all was lovely, my mum felt guilty leaving some chips as she's not a big eater 😊 we all will be back again, deffo recommend to everyone to go, lot's of choice on the menu and very friendly ppl who work there. Everything was spot on, definitely deserve the 5 star rating and then some. Thank you all from us 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🧑‍🦳

This place was on our way back on the bike. Outside garden is amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful in a little village. Will definitely go again.

Me & my husband went for a bike ride & found this lovely little pub with a nice out door space friendly staff & had a lovely meal & drinks I had the Hawaiian burger & my husband had a all day breakfast. We will return on our next bike ride.

Hidden little gem. The most friendly and warming pub, lovely owners, friendly attentive staff . Fabulous outdoor areas to eat and drink. Eaten their twice and both times excellent quality, price and service. Good choice of beers etc too. Its off the main road, so don't drive past and miss it because it really is a little gem.

Absolutely brilliant 👏 The service and surroundings are second to none....

The pub although old is clean and tidy, the beer was well kept and the wine was very palatable, no food being served as yet but I'm told its on the cards. Quick update,, have been back to the pub a couple of times just before second lockdown and sampled some of the food on offer. Very good and definitely worth a visit, I was also happy with the pricing structure not incredibly cheap but definitely within most people's pockets.

Food available lunchtimes. Dog friendly but we sat outside in the sun. Very friendly and food piping hot. Simple platter to share.
