Always a good stop off if your walking to Newstead Abbey from the Village side, good variety of drinks and welcoming staff, very dog friendly.

Great, old fashioned (in a good way !), comfortable, country pub on the main road from Dronfield through Holmsfield. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good car park. Outdoor seating. Sells Carling so I know my husband will definitely be back. Walked past many times, but never visited before, although it always seems very popular. Dogs seemed to be welcome. Check opening times before visiting .

Wonderful selection of real ales kept to a high standard. Proper old fashioned inn with no fruit machine or juke box. Food is crisps and nuts ect. Friendly atmosphere and staff

Order was late and when arrived very disappointed. The butter chicken was watery and bland. Definitely won't order again.

My friend and I ordered ribeye, but I doubt that's what we got. The food is reasonably tasty, but overpriced and poorly presented.

Smoke cloud in the doorway. Lung cancer to get in the place. My beer was nice but Mrs couldn't drink hers
